Dior DiorSkin Nude Luminizer

Diorskin Nude Luminizer ($48.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a new, powder highlighter that has been released in six shades. I’m guessing it’ll eventually replace the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer range, as this new version has overlapping shades and comes in new, lighter-weight packaging (and no included buffer brush). They contain the same amount of product (0.21 oz.) but with the change in packaging and omission of the brush, they’re now priced at $48 instead of $56. They performed very similarly, and for the most part, the shades were carried over. If you have one from the previous line, I definitely wouldn’t get the same shade from this new line as it’s a packaging update. On the other hand, if they always tickled your fancy, now they’re at a more palatable price point!

I think if you wanted to buy just one highlighter in your makeup life, this would be it. I really like the finishes in these – soft and subtle, not too glittery or shiny.
I think it’s sensible of the brand not to include a brush, as most have their own. And at a more reduced price, but still very expensive, it is a luxurious product.

Dior nailed it! A more affordable option, a nice range for a good variety of skin tones, even a fun option… And lost important a beautiful sheen!

I have the pink glow from the first iteration of this formula and love it. The brush was indeed barely usable. It could have been nice to buff the highlighter but it is so scratchy I never use it ?

I might get the holographic glow. I have enough highlighter but nothing like that and highlighter is with eyeshadow a step I never pass on. It is so satisfying!

I’m so glad they removed the brush and lowered the price. That brush (and the one in their blush that I love so much) is just a silly and unnecessary item and you had to get a new one every time you replaced the product or purchased a new shade. So unnecessary and I’m glad they finally saw sense. I love Pink Glow but it’s quite close to the LE one I have (the “Glowing Gardens” release) and might just treat myself to Golden Glow after I check it out in-store.

I think ditching the brush was a 100% great move to reduce price. The old compacts were nicer from a high-end/luxury packaging price point (the new ones feel thinner, lighter, and more plasticky), but I’d rather cheaper than pay for weight of packaging as long as the packaging remains functional and durable.

I swatched Pink Glow in the store today and fell in love with it. I left the swatch on my hand, and when I got home I compared it to Wet n Wild Blossom Glow, which I also love. The Dior is so much finer. Less glitter, more glow. I may have to go back and get it tomorrow.
