Up until a couple of months ago, I would have said Deep Throat, which has been my go-to natural/ every day blush for years, but I’ve completely fallen in love with Galifornia. It’s not as understated, so I use it when I’m looking for a bit more of a “fun” colour, but I just adore it.
Think I had better not opine on this one. I do have a few. Who ever bought a Nars palette without acquiring a few orgasms? Does not sound quite right. I do like coral blush far better than coral lips, bec you can blend and suffuse. I held a bottle of pink coral nail polish the other day, and everyone said, ‘yeah, I see what you mean. It just plain does not go. It clashes with you or something.’ I prob could wear pinks and corals until ~35 or 40. I think it’s an undertone thing. When my skin became less translucent, and less pink undertoned, corals and I parted ways. Corals I admire: Deep Throat, Swiss Dot, the old Benefits, MJB L&LN.
A few years ago I would never have branched out into corals, but I found out that I wear them well in the summer when I am tanned. I have Galifornia (almost too light for dead of summer for me), Chanel Malice and just received Cheeky Bits, but haven’t even swatched. This was a good reminder that I probably don’t need another coral blush. Three blushes worn three times a year each will last well into the next century.
MUFE B302, one of their new blushes. I ADORE it. It’s so easy to blend, and goes with everything.
I just wish it was a touch more pink. Because it pulls very warm/orange on my warm yellow undertones!
Agree with you on that one-got mine as a deluxe sample with a sephora order, going to get a full size one soon.
I got mine the same way Lisa! And it’s STUNNING. I love paring it with a cool red lip! Very pretty!
oh that combo sounds pretty-gonna try that today!
Orgasm and Malice are certainly favorites. I have a Tarte one rolling around somewhere but I don’t recall the name!
I have been looking for the perfect mint eyeshadow for ages. There are so many that look beautiful in the pan, but once applied pull either more green or more blue, I want the perfect mixture. I bought Mochi by Sugarpill and it ended up just being a dull slightly greenish blue once applied, nothing minty about it, it’s too greyed. I want pure mint. There is one by Inglot that comes close, but the formulation on that one leaves a lot to be desired (and Inglot shadows are normally great, I guess it’s a tricky shade to create?). I would love to see everyone’s recommendations on this subject!
Why would Tom Ford discontinue their most popular blush ever? It makes no sense.
The brand reformulated, so the shade technically still exists, though the reformulation tweaked finishes/tones through a few of the shades.
I like Hot Mama by The Balm for coral blushes. That brand does a fabulous job of high quality, reasonably priced cosmetics.
Also MUFE B302, and UD-Afterglow in Indecent, Mac cremeblend in Something Special, Nars Deep Throat and Smashbox LA Lights Silver Lake Sunset.
I accidentally found out about Milani’s Luminoso blush three years ago. My husband and I had to leave town on a moment’s notice and I left my makeup bag behind. Upon arriving at our destination, I realized I had forgotten it. We hunted down a CVS and I got the absolute minimal of what I needed. I had always worn NARS Orgasm blush. I saw the Mllani Luminoso and thought it looked close enough. I was amazed by the quality and lovely color. So amazed, I haven’t stopped wearing it. I still have a half compact of my NARS, but have gone through 4 or 5 compacts of the Luminoso!
Coral is just not a natural looking colour for me so I tend not to purchase them. I do have a pan of Hot Mama (came in a palette) and, as corals go, it’s actually quite nice on me. I recently got a sample of the Nars liquid blush in Orgasm and I find that to be a beautifully wearable product (but I soooo wish they’d add a true pink shade to the line – lighter than Dolce Vita which is quite a plum/burgundy shade rather than a pretty pink).
My favorite coral blush, and favorite blush overall, is Aromaleigh Lakshmi.
I love GALifornia! So pretty on the cheeks!
I have a few of these but I want them all!
