Benefit Tickle Box o' Powder Highlighter Review & Swatches
Tickle
Benefit Tickle Box o’ Powder Highlighter ($30.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a brighter, bubblegum pink base with heavy, golden shimmer that gave it a more metallic finish. The interplay between the cooler-toned pink base with the warmer, golden shimmer gave it a more contrasting appearance when applied to my skin, so it looked like I applied both a blush and highlighter together. I wish we saw more of these types of products on the market because they do some double duty!
The consistency was smooth, silky, and almost cream-like as it wasn’t powdery yet it yielded and picked up well on my brush. The powder applied evenly and blended out with little effort, though a little went a long way as it was quite pigmented. The highlighter had a luminous sheen that stopped shy of pore-emphasizing territory when worn at full coverage. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably on me.

I got this in their cheekleader mini palette and I found the metallic finish super harsh on my cool toned skin. I would recommend ladies swatch this before buying because it is loud lol
Simply stunning! I could so easily see myself using Tickle with just bronzer or a bronze toned “nude” blush like MAC Cheek Pollen for a very daytime perfect cheek.
This is beautiful and since I don’t have a single dupe, unless there is one in the Clinique blush pops that I just purchased, which I don’t think there is, this is likely a good contender fro me. I have been more interested in blush lately and have found that it is an area in my collection where I don’t have as many options so I am looking to fill out my collection with carefully curated shades that fit the major holes in my collection. Not that this blush fits the bill but I am really looking for a good blush to wear when I have chosen a red lippie, both cool and warm reds. I am open to suggestions that anyone might have and also would like to know if people are using a cool toned red do you then use a cool toned blush?
I tend to use a tawny nude or bronzer as a blush when I wear cool reds.
I also really love a soft, slightly cool dolly pink blush paired with a neutral red lip 🙂
…but I suspect I’m a slightly warmer and more yellow toned than you, my lovely!
Sadly on me it looked straight up gold. Just like your picture where the swatches are on the diagonal, the swatch on the right. It feels lovely and has great pigmentation but that’s not what I was looking for. I thought it would be more pink with a hint of the gold. It does look good as an eyeshadow. I rarely take things back, but I returned it.
It’s like Too Faced’s Satin Sheets eyeshadow and Candlelight Glow Highlighter. They look mostly pink in the pan, but applied, it’s pretty much gold.
I should have added YMMV if you don’t have a cool pink undertone like it do. 🙂
This gives me strong Maybelline x Puma Knockout vibes, which I apply exactly as you describe (as a blush+highlighter combo)! I love it when I’m feeling lazy but still want to *dazzle* others. Glad to see Benefit coming out with something similar… (I always secretly root for them!)
Very pretty
Agree with you about liking the cool base color/warm shimmer combo. It’s why I like Urban Decay’s blush in Rapture
I do too, I love Rapture, and Becca mineral blush in G*psy, and lipsticks that are like that.
