Benefit Georgia Blush Review & Swatches (2020)
Georgia (2020)
Benefit Georgia (2020) Box o’ Powder ($29.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a medium, orange-peach with a satin finish. It had finer, golden pearl throughout that buffed out to a more satin-like glow on my skin–not quite shimmery but a step above matte. It had a smoother, almost velvety texture to the touch, but it was very prone to developing hard pan–it had hardened in places after two uses.
It had good color coverage in a single layer, but I had to rub away the hardened surface (paper towel works well!) in order to maintain that type of coverage for future usage. The powder applied evenly to bare skin and blended out nicely, though. It was peach-scented, and it was strong enough that it lingered once applied to my skin for a few hours. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.

I love the color but because of the scent I’d probably go for Nars Tempted or even back to Clinique Nude Pop. All blushes develop hard pan for me.
I have Tick from CP’s Clock Work duo from a few years ago. At least Tick when used with the deeper matte Tock shows up nicely on my medium olive skintone, Georgia would not. That issue with hardpan sounds awful! This should not be happening with a high-end product after just a few uses.
I hope no old fans buy this sight unseen. Looking at my major panned oldie; they have zero in common.
Yeah, I don’t understand why Benefit constantly changes their colors. I bought the mini set “Blush Brunch” and all the blushes are off compared to the full size versions. In fact, the “Rockateur” from that set is dead on to “Rockabye” in one of their holiday trios (Babe on Board), but different to Rockateur. Gold Rush, Galifornia and Dandelion were also different! I also noticed before Dallas was discontinued that shade changed in full size, I repurchased it and it was not rosy toned at all like my previous box. More like a caramel brown. If they want a “reunion tour” why not bring back the OG shades and formulas that people actually miss? Or release these as all new shades. I just don’t get why brands do this.
Far too orangey for me, but Christine – that lipstick shade is amazing on you!
Georgia looks a lot like Wet n Wild’s Apricot in the Middle
