The texture was soft, just a smidgen dusty but not actually dry to the touch, with a smooth, blendable feel overall. It applied well to the skin and yielded a noticeable sheen, which didn’t emphasize pores unless worn more heavily. It was semi-opaque, which was easily built up or sheered out for a less intense highlight. I thought it was a bit less pigmented compared to other shades, but it was more forgiving applied to the skin and generally easier to work with. The color wore well for eight hours before fading on me.

This is stunning! Do you think it’s pigmented enough to be a blush on someone very fair?
Yes, I think so!
Oh my…. This is pretty… The last thing I need is another highlighter, but this will be hard to resist.
It’s a nice one! Hope they make it permanent.
MAC Pearl Blossom is a straight up pink blush on me. Do you think this would be, on very fair tones? This looks like it has less pigmentation to the base color.
I think it would be, though it would be a bit lighter.
I’ve yet to have anything I don’t like from Becca and I think I’m going to grab this beauty. So, so pretty. I love pinky thing like this!
It’s a beauty!
It’s already sold out on line at Sephora in Canada and not available within a 150 km radius of me. How can they DO THIS???? Of course, if they make it permanent, that would solve my problem.
REALLY! Wow, that’s incredible. 🙁
Hey, from Canada too. I bought it online yesterday and noticed it sold out later that day too but it’s back up on the site now! You should snatch it up quick. 🙂
I know it’s still available at b-glowing, but not sure how much it would cost to ship to you (they do international shipping, even to China, but like not sure if it’s included in the free shipping)
Sneaky.. this one disguised itself under a pile of other items in my Big S shopping cart late last week. Now it is miraculously sitting on my makeup station.
Highlighter no buy.. what dat?
Haha! I was surprised at how lovely this one was.
That looks quite glittery 🙁 Christine, do you think it’ll work on people with larger pores and tanned skins?
It didn’t emphasize pores for me unless I really packed it on – I would say it is less potential for emphasizing pores than their regular range.
I almost jumped on this as soon as it went live on Sephora, but then I started to think A) “that looks a LOT like ABH Starburst” and B) to their credit, Becca makes their LE items permanent if they do well, just like Blushed Copper, Champagne Pop, etc, etc. So I have a feeling that even if this sells out, I will have a chance to get it again one way or another.
I hope they’ll add it to their range!
Ooooh, Julia – your words are a balm, since this is sold out in Canada. This really is one that should be permanent (I said the same about the Dior Glowing Gardens Pink but that was sold out in no time flat, though I was lucky enough to be able to grab that beauty).
It’s in stock again on Sephora.ca! You should hurry though
This is so pretty! ? I need to not want it though. LOL
Awww!
Becca can do no wrong (in my eyes) when it comes to highlighters. This is gorgeous!
It is! I am very curious to see this one on darker skin tones, too.
Christine, I was just getting ready to ask…How does it look on darker skin tones? It looks so pretty..debating on should I just buy it
Very pretty, I’d have to swatch to see if it’s more highlighter or highlighting blush. Probably blush, lol.
Probably a bit of both!
It’s pretty! I ill need to check this out in person. The swatch shows all white shimmer, which can look chalky on my skin, but the description says this has yellow undertones and fine gold and rose shimmer, which will play very nicely with my yellow undertones.
Let us know how it works for you!
Okay, okay. So I read this for the review…. but….
That is a gorgeous eye look, Christine! In fact, I like the whole look overall. Very fresh, very pretty. Might just steal this one.
Thanks, Melanie!
Hellooooo beautifulllllllllll
what a fantastic shade it is 🙂
missed commenting here 🙂
you are looking super gorgeous like always xoxo
Hope you are doing well, Rashmi!! 🙂
Am doing very well Christine !
9 and half months and no makeup shopping
lol
so now making my list to break the ban in Nov or Dec 🙂
been busy with other thing in life and weight loss was major concern 🙁 🙁 🙁
lost 14 kgs since June and enjoying this phase
It sounds like the weight loss was a good thing? If so, congrats!
I am sure you will pick up some fun things in November/December!
Welcome back Rashmi 😀 Big congrats on your weight loss!!!!!
Thank you Wendy 🙂
Thank you Christine …certainly it is and am loving the compliments I get plus the healthy and energetic feel 🙂
This sure is a pretty one! If I didn’t already own MAC Pearl Blossom, I would have to have this one.
The real showstopper here is your eye look and lipgloss, Christine! THAT collex is gonna make me broke, I’m serious! But a fun and satisfying broke, though ?
Thanks, Nancy!
LOL! When I saw Christine’s eye looks with all those MAC Selena shadows, I thought “uh oh, Nancy’s gonna be one broke chica! “
Oh, I am! What was *originally* going to be just 2, possibly 3 items grew exponentially today to an easy 5 or 6! But then I will begin a very low buy, I hope, anyway. I feel a probable move across town is needed. My kids are in the West Valley.
Well, with the holiday collections/value sets/sales/promos pouring in like crazy, I don’t have any hope of holding to a low buy until 2017. It’s like trying to start a diet right before the holidays, hopeless !! But I usually don’t buy as much during spring, as spring collections usually aren’t that large or great …but yes, it’s great to be closer to family, hopefully that will give you some incentive to stick to the low buy 🙂
This looks so pretty on you.! Your cheeks look so cute with the highlighter on..
Thank you, Jen!
This is so adorable! I’ve been on the hunt for a good pink highlighter! Too bad I have a dupe for this…Should have waited!
Aww! Hopefully the dupe you have is nice, though 🙂
This is glorious. B is channeling some Cle pressing techniques. Makes it seem all the more luxe.
It is a gorgeous shade!
Super pretty look, Christine!
Thanks, Anne!
Do you think it will show up well on deeper skin tones?
I think it will, though it is a lighter shade so I am a bit concerned that it may be too light. It doesn’t seem as white based as it does just a light shade.
I’m in. I’ve been waiting for just this. (I hope. Let you know when it arrives in a few days. 🙂 )
Hope you love it, Linda!
I saw this online and thought that I needed it, but I think I’ll wait until some of the holiday sets are released to decide which one I want to splurge on!
Good idea 🙂
This looks fabulous on you, Christine! I’m glad the base doesn’t pull too white on you; this seems like a very wearable shade!
Thanks, Anime! 🙂
I like this better then champagne pop, I find champagne pop emphasis the texture on my skin (even though the area I’m highlighting is relatively smooth and the pores are invisible). Rose Quartz looks like it would give highlight without being OTT. I’ll have to wait till it gets to the UK!
Hope you can try it, Nora!
I love anything with the name Rose Quartz but I can’t justify this, I almost never wear highlighter and this color probably wouldn’t even look that good on me. 😛 Well, maybe it would…
If you don’t wear highlighter, definitely skip 🙂
Oh wow I didn’t want this but now I do! Christine, does it compare at all to the highlight shade in Tom Ford Softcore? I shattered mine and have been on the hunt ever since!
Softcore’s highlighter is a lot peachier!
Oh goodness, I am so sorry, I meant Tom Ford Stroked!! LOL!!
Stroked was gold/peach!

A lovely shimmery blush/highlighter. Looks gorgeous on you Christine.
Thank you, Genevieve!
Stunning. I’m not sure if it would be more of a blush on me. Either way, it’s gorgeous.
It might be pinker on you for sure!
Ha, once I opened it I immediately swatched Starburst to compare the two.
I have a feeling this shade will make another appearance over the holidays but I’m really glad I bought it now that I’ve had a chance to play around with it.
How did it compare to Starburst for you, Ashley?
They’re both quite nice but Rose Quartz is definitely the more subtle of the two, which isn’t a bad thing but I agree with you that RQ seems to be less intense than the other Becca shades as well
Very pretty, especially with the look created from the Selena collection! I hope it becomes permanent!
Here’s hoping!
Christine, when you say something “wore well for eight hours before fading,” does that mean it wore for eight hours before you saw any change in the intensity, or it wore for eight hours before it disappeared?
BTW, your eye look is flawless — they look airbrushed!
That’s the point where I started to notice more significant changes in how it looked – the best way to explain is right before the point where you’d go, “I have to touch-up” or until it looks different than when initially applied.
Got it, thanks!
Christine! Please make a review of the new Clinique Cheek pop Black Honey and Pink Honey!! I don’t see reviews/swatches about it!! I think these arenew in their line. As always you’re my go-to reliable product reviewer. With that being said, your review on this Becca Rose Quartz just makes it official, this will be my first Becca highlighter!! (I know its insane, I don’t like any of their existing shades of highlighters that much to get one before.)
Congrats on your first Becca highlighter!
Looks very pretty on you! It’s not for me though. It would probably do the opposite of ‘perfecting’ on me.
Thank you!
Too pretty. How does this shade of pink compare/contrast to pinky shade of Hourglass Iridescent strobing powder?
Do you know what you’re referring to?
This is so gorgeous! I think I am going to cave in and get this highlighter, it’s been sitting in my Sephora cart…
Enjoy it, Agata!
Wow, thought it would be more of an icy pink with a metallic finish. But the swatch looks pretty unique!
It is definitely a warmer pink!
Beautiful dainty highlighter for a stunning eye look. I am hoping you will give us the details on how to create this eye look – you did it again.
Everything is listed under “Makeup Look” – in the sidebar on desktop, under the post on mobile!
No similarity to Urban Decay’s Aura highlighter? It’s not listed as a dupe…
They’re not dupes – Aura is cool-toned and much lighter! http://www.temptalia.com/side-by-side/?sbs_1_search=Becca+Rose+Quartz&sbs_1=257448&sbs_2_search=Urban+Decay+Aura&sbs_2=226029
That is just magical! I’m glad to see it got a good review, I love how dimensional the coloring is, and I always love pinks with golds. I don’t think I’m going to be able to resist this one! 🙂
It just dawned on me that it’s like a pale version of Becca’s Gypsy blush. No wonder I like it so much! I also love the special packaging, and that it’s light enough for me to use as a highlighter.
It is a pretty shade 😀
Glad to see this review. I just bought the Lorac Moonlight from the 21 Days Sale at Ulta and really love it. After I got that one I saw this one was coming out. I’m happy to know they are similar. I am loving my Lorac one, and I saved money buying that one instead.
Happy I could share, Michelle!
Does anyone have this & OFRA’s You Glow Girl (one of the dupe that collab shades)? I have the OFRA & am thinking this may be similar but am really hoping to find comparison swatches somewhere. Anyone??
I wish I could help! I’m so sorry!
Really pretty! Pity we don’t have Becca in stores, we can order, but it is nice to swatch before buying. But, do I need highlighters? No I have enough to last a loooong time. This is very tempting, though.
Good job resisting 🙂
I had this on my wishlist, but I just got Lorac’s Moonlight highlight, and this looks almost identical in the photos. I actually prefer Lorac’s formula, but loving Becca’s Opal so much makes me tempted. 🙂
If it looks almost identical, you can skip it!! 🙂
hey, late to the party… (in finding your review, anyway, I ordered this the second I saw it!)
I was so happy about this because most of the other ones are either too dark, way too dark, or too yellow for me; I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a pinky one until now!
so anyway, you mentioned that this one seems less pigmented than the others, and I agree. in your opinion, though, do you think this is less sparkly than the others? it doesn’t look shimmery at all in the pan, so I was pleasantly surprised once I got it into my face, tho I still felt like it was a little more subtle than the rest…
all I know for sure is that I too hope they add this to the permanent line… and am crossing my fingers for a poured and/or liquid version, too!
I think the shimmer is a bit finer!
Dear may I know your shade in Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation? Thanks!
I don’t know it, sorry!
Hi, do you think the rose gold is too warm for someone with fair skin and cool undertones? Thank you.
No, I don’t think so.
Do you think it’s comparable to Jeffree Star’s skin Frost Highlighter in Peach Goddess?
No idea!
