Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette
Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette ($40.00 for 0.20 oz.) is a set of five, warm-toned neutral eyeshadows with matte and satin finishes. It’s a nice palette overall, and it’s not quite as dupable as your typical neutral palette, but there are a fair amount of dupes for each shade. All five shades coordinate well with each other, and I liked that the finishes ranged from matte to satin, so you could get a little more depth out of the combination while also having an easier time blending out the shades.
Omber Rouge #1 is a light-medium, peachy beige with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good pigmentation with a soft, blendable texture that wasn’t too powdery or too firm. It wore for eight hours before fading on me. This could be a highlighter on medium to dark skin tones or more of a transition shade on fairer skin tones. Viseart Beige (P, ) is darker, warmer. Guerlain Hey Nude (04) (P, $34.00) is darker. Tarte Barefoot in the Grass (LE, ) is lighter. Becca Ombre Nudes #1 (P, ) is lighter. Kat Von D Vespertine (P, ) is lighter, warmer. Anastasia Cream (P, $12.00) is lighter, warmer. Sephora + Pantone Universe Macaroon (LE, ) is warmer. bareMinerals Velvet Nude (LE, $14.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches/ compare dupes side-by-side.
Omber Rouge #2 is a muted, medium pink with warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had nice color coverage that was mostly opaque, while the powder’s consistency was blendable with just a smidgen of powderiness in the pan. It wore for seven and a half hours on me. Le Metier de Beaute Smoky Quartz (LE, $30.00) is more shimmery, lighter. Tarte Pinky Promise (LE, ) is darker, warmer. Le Metier de Beaute Smoky Quartz (LE, $30.00) is more shimmery, lighter. MAC Lingering Dusk (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery, lighter. Urban Decay Buzz (P, $18.00) is more shimmery, darker, brighter. Aveda Bare Bellis (P, $14.00) is lighter, warmer. See comparison swatches/ compare dupes side-by-side.
Omber Rouge #3 is a muted, medium brown with a hint of rosy-beige tones to it and a satin sheen. It had mostly opaque coverage that blended easily on the skin without sheering out. The color started to fade after eight hours of wear. Make Up For Ever S610 Almond (P, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker. Cle de Peau Baby Universe #1 (P, ) is less shimmery, darker. Viseart Chantille (P, ) is more shimmery, darker. Dior Ambre Nuit #5 (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker. Viseart Saint-Honore (P, ) is darker, warmer. LORAC Dusty Rose (LE, ) is less shimmery, lighter. Dior Golden Shock #2 (LE, ) is darker. Chanel Tisse Rivoli #3 (P, ) is more shimmery, lighter. Makeup Geek Barcelona Beach (P, $5.99) is warmer. See comparison swatches/ compare dupes side-by-side.
Omber Rouge #4 is a softened, medium-dark brown with warm, orange undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had good color payoff that applied easily to the skin and blended out without issue. The texture was a little firmer compared to the other shades, but it wasn’t difficult to work with in practice. It wore for eight hours before it started to fade. Anastasia Caramel (P, $12.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer. Too Faced Mousse (P, $16.00) is lighter. Too Faced Chocolate Cookie (P, $16.00) is darker. ColourPop Cornelious (LE, $5.00) is lighter. Zoeva Substitute for Love (P, ) is brighter, warmer. Buxom Filthy Rich (P, $12.00) is darker. LORAC Unspoken (P, ) is darker. Stila Individual (P, ) is lighter. Anastasia Bengal (P, $12.00) is lighter, brighter. Make Up For Ever M650 Cookie (P, $21.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer. Makeup Geek Frappe (P, $5.99) is lighter. Makeup Geek Latte (P, $5.99) is more muted. Too Faced Chocolate Milk (LE, $16.00) is lighter. MAC Saddle (P, $16.00) is darker, brighter, more pigmented, warmer. Urban Decay Beware (P, $18.00) is darker. First 15 dupes listed, see more: See comparison swatches/ compare dupes side-by-side.
Omber Rouge #5 is a lightly brightened, dark brown with warm, orange-red undertones and a satin finish. It had decent pigmentation, but it was the least pigmented of the five shades, and it also had a drier, firmer texture that didn’t feel as finely-milled. This shade could have been easier to work with on the lid, as it took a little extra patience to blend it out. It wore for seven and a half hours on me before fading. Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear (P, $5.99) is lighter. MAC Amorous Alloy (P, $20.00) is more shimmery, lighter. MAC Brown Script (P, $16.00) is less shimmery. MAC Exposed (LE, $16.00) is lighter. Guerlain Les Fauves #2 (LE, ) is lighter, brighter. ColourPop Hot Tamale (LE, $5.00) is more shimmery. Sephora + Pantone Universe Hot Chocolate (LE, ) is lighter. Laura Mercier Cocoa (P, $24.00) is darker, more muted, cooler. ColourPop Mittens (P, $5.00) is cooler. ColourPop Bandit (P, $5.00) is lighter. Gucci Beauty Autumn Fire #4 (P, ) is less shimmery. NARS Dolomites (Right) (LE, $24.00) is darker. MAC Apricot Blend #2 (LE, ) is more shimmery, lighter. LORAC Untamed (P, ) is more shimmery, lighter. Divergent Burnt Mahogany (LE, ) is more muted, cooler. First 15 dupes listed, see more: See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Hmmm. At 40 bucks , and a B grade , I think I can still get this. If this was 1-2 shadows , then no. But since I get 5 shades , the value still might be there. Hmmm. Maybe I will wait until November to get it
Let me know if you end up getting it, Jaz!
Too warm for me, but lovely colors and glad it got decent score
It is very warm for sure!
Oh my Christine! I love the look you did here!! Also I think Imma cave and get this palette! Its up my alley!
Thank you, Sheena!
mmm think I’ll pass on this one. So many similar colors in so many last year’s palettes
Glad you have some dupes to use, Eri!
Stunning shades! <3
They are!
Ugh, I love this. Esp #2 and #3 but like, all of them. But I have a huge neutral Z pallete with plenty of semi-dupes…. ::sad puppy face:: Maybe for my birthday, which isn’t even soon, lol.
lol!
Hey Christine, is the case plastic? Idk why I thought these would look more pink.
Pretty sure it’s plastic!
This looks nice and I may check it out in store. But, I have my fair share of neutrals. Is it just me or is this priced a bit high for five shadows?
I feel like it’s probably a little high for Becca but not that out of range… but you can get a lot more for your money for palettes these days!
This palette is just stunning! I really really hope I can get my hands on this, Becca is not a brand I can buy where I live… I’ll have to get it online because I’m in love with it!! 😀
Beautiful swatches Christine!
Thanks, Benedetta!
I wish there was a single of #2!
That would be nice!
I think I’ve posted this everywhere, but I love my palette! It’s like the travel-sized baby of the Naked 3 and the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar. And the third shadow in the palette is a really unique color and finish, it’s hard to describe. I just love the rosy undertones to this whole palette, I swatched all my dupes in my collection and couldn’t find anything that was an exact match to any of these, phew.
Happy to hear you’re enjoying your palette, Ashleigh! What’s your favorite blush/lip color to pair with it?
Thanks Christine 🙂
I love Milani Dolce Pink with it, and today I wore it with Nars Frenzy. Blushes with a bit of a sheen to them go well with it I think! I actually used the highlighter portion of Frenzy on my eyes today too in addition to the palette. I’m in the process of moving so having a small palette to take with me in my travel makeup bag has been perfect.
oops, forgot to add lips! Since I’ve focused a bit more on eyes lately I’ve been wearing a lot of neutral lips, just my go-to pinky nudes: Revlon lip butter in strawberry champagne, and Too Faced Nude Beach. I had lofty plans to wear a vampy plum lip with it but took it off. I think that will be the next look I try…
I absolutely LOVE this palette. The eye look you did with these shades is right up my (usual) alley, it looks stunning and a great everyday look.
Thank you, Nancy!
Looks gorgeous!
It’s a lovely combo!
Ohh, I really love this palette!
Yay!
It’s sooo warm, but I still kind of want it… It’s definitely not something I’d buy for myself, but if I got it as a gift, I’d give it a try.
Hope you can at least take a look at it in store, Amy!
I’m really liking these super-warm, peachy browns. Must…resist…
You can do itttt!
I am in love with Becca’s quads, singles, and now especially both Ombre palettes! This I recently acquired and I think I may love it more than the first! I use both together to make my violet eyes stand out and it does the trick smoothly
Nice! I think this one is a good complement to the first as well.
Hmmm – not a fan at all – too matte, too brown, not good enough quality for the price. The best bit? – Your beautiful teal eyeliner Christine – that is a gorgeous colour.
Aw, thanks, Genevieve!
I adore these shades! But this is exactly what pretty much my entire Z-Palette of single shadows looks like… which is probably why I love it so much.
Haha! The combo is nice – dupable, but nice.
I really really like the idea for this palette, being neutral and not shimmery, but still not necessarily all matte. I love #2 shade, very pretty. 🙂
It is!
I was hoping this would be more rouge. Starting with a pale rose, & getting deeper.
Oh, too bad 🙁
