Becca Lilac Geode Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Review, Photos, Swatches
Lilac Geode
Becca Lilac Geode Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a light-medium pink with cooler undertones paired with warmer, golden shimmer. On my complexion, it ended up translating to a warmer color overall, though on cooler skin tones, the blue in the base might come through more prominently. It had excellent pigmentation with a soft, smooth, and blendable consistency that wasn’t too soft nor was it too firm in the pan. The highlighter was easy to work with using a myriad of brushes and could be applied more lightly just by using a lighter hand or less dense brush. It had a more metallic, high-shine finish on the skin at medium or greater coverage, though it did not emphasize my skin’s texture to my eye. On me, it stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading slightly.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.25 oz. - $152.00 Per Ounce
The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed formula is described as having an "ultra-reflective shine" with a "creamy" texture that "applies seamlessly." In general, the texture of the highlighters is incredibly smooth, silky, and finely-milled with frosted to metallic finishes and the occasional more sparkly finish.
They tend to have a high-shine, more metallic finish and are a stronger highlighter, so they are going to be best suited to someone who likes an obvious highlight over a very subtle one. That being said, with a fan brush and a deft hand, one could certainly achieve a subtler, all-over luminosity as well, but if one takes a typical, tapered highlighting brush, there will be quite a bit of pigment and highlight on the skin.
I find that some shades can emphasize the look of pores slightly to moderately, depending on application. They tend to last between eight to nine hours on me.

That is really pretty on! I usually don’t feel the need to buy new highlighters (I have a couple of go-tos), but this is very tempting.
I agree! It has a nice finish and glow.
Pink highlighters.. another weakness. But I have amethyst flashes geode amongst others ..so I’m good.
You are covered 😀
This one and the smoky mauve one are the 2 best ones I’ve ever bought from Becca. What’s funny is this one pulls more pink/lilac on me but when I was hanging out with a friend of mine who is significantly darker and warm toned, it pulled more gold on her like it did on you!
I could see it going more golden on someone of a deeper skin tone!
Wow, that is gorgeous!
It is!
I picked it up Saturday and love it!
Woohoo! 😀
I am so glad to see the cheaper dupes!! I have my eye on this for the longest time but I honestly cannot justify the price!! It’s a lovely shade though – very unique!
Yay for good dupes!
I bought this in the first few days it came out, not even realizing it was brand new. I just saw it on the shelf and liked it. I immediately came home and googled “becca lilac geode temptalia” to read about it, and was amazed that it was not here. That’s when I realized how new it was!
I like the highlighter, but I’m a bit dismayed it does not pull lilac/pink. It is very peachy, which I don’t mind. I just have to remember it’s not really lilac when I’m picking what highlighter I want for the day.
On someone with cooler skin, it might pull a bit cooler 🙂 I am, unfortunately, warm-toned.
I have been trying so hard not to buy this… I think I’m going to have to pick this up tomorrow. It is just. too. pretty.
Let us know how you like it, Melissa!
It is quite shimmery and that can either put some off or they embrance the effect. It’s beautifully done, but quite expemsive.
It is a lovely highlighter shade!
Christine.. did you happen to purchase the smoky quartz highlighter by Becca.. ?? I haven’t found even a single review online.. I have the lilac geode.. , it’s flawless..
So glad you’re loving your Lilac Geode!
Jen I have swatches of smoky quartz on my IG that I posted 6 days ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/BYdG8TplEQD/?taken-by=binxcat4ever
I’m happy to answer any questions you may have until Christine gets a review up (don’t want to step on her or anyone else’s toes!)
I picked this up on a whim at Ulta. I’m in love! I prefer warmer colors on me and this looks gorgeous. It can look natural or super glam. Glad to see you gave it good marks. 🙂
Happy to hear you’re enjoying it, Brit! 🙂
I’ve been waiting for swatches of this!! My Ulta hasn’t gotten this in store yet, and I was nervous about the shade! It is really pretty!!
Man, they are killing me with all these LE highlighters. I REALLY like this one and may get it. Nicer looking than the Becca Amethyst Flashes Geode version.
I just wish they would release smaller sizes for perhaps $25 or so… I haven’t even made a dent in my Moonstone highlighter of theirs, and I’ve had it for months! Hard to justify a more “niche” color like this or the Amethyst at that price point when you’ll never go through it all.
I heard this was a good one, but glad I waited for your swatch– it’s too close to MAC Beaming Blush, which I have and love. But glad this scored well for those interested!
Oh, goodness. Why couldn’t they have come out with this when I was on a Becca highlighter kick. It’s so damn pretty, and the name…
<3<3<3 Gorgeous! I saw this in my Ulta email this morning and immediately added it to my wishlist. I am planning to haul it the next time I redeem my points, assuming it doesn't sell out before then. Limited Edition stuff always makes me nervous because I like to plan out my purchases, but I worry about things selling out.
Oooh!!! I want this one! BUT. I have to talk myself out of it somehow. Because I just ordered CP Angel Food last night, and I have MAC Pearl Blossom. Both are listed as dupes. Pearl Blossom seems so much lighter and isn’t a duochrome, so maybe….???
It’s very pretty, I might get it in the future, right now I am on a very strict low buy after overspending a bit. You know what it can be like 🙂
And of course it’s LE. Oh, well, can’t be helped, maybe a dupe later on then.
I was shocked I’d missed this, but I just checked the Canadian Sephora site and it’s not there – it just has the ‘flashes’ ones and the Amethyst LE one. Is this not being released in Canada?
Thanks for the review, Christine!
I like, I’ll have swatch these in store. I wonder if it will pull cooler on me. It’s usually the opposite!
This is definitely the most aesthetically pleasing product I’ve seen in a while. Can’t imagine ever spending that much on a highlighter, so I’ll be picking up the ColourPop Angel Food highlighter since it’s so similar!
I can’t seem to find this shade in the retailers listed above!!! Do you know at which one they are sold?
This is an Ulta exclusive!
Swoon. I saw this at Ulta the other day and loved it! It did have more pigmentation to it on my fair skin, but would be beautiful over blush or used with a very very light hand. I think I have to have this one!
Have you ever tried Ulta’s “Pink Diamond” highlighter? It’s also a pink with gold shimmer, but it’s a much warmer pink and I was wondering how they compare — especially at that price! I love my Becca products, but ouch.
Sorry, I haven’t!
What’s the main difference between lilac geode and prismatic amethyst?
