The Liquid formula is described as a “soft focus, healthy glow” liquid highlighter. The consistency of the Liquid is very thin, more water-like and spreadable, and it’s the kind of product that can be mixed in with primer, moisturizer, foundation, or patted over your foundation. It’s incredibly subtle when patted on the skin but doesn’t provide much color–it might provide a little warmth on very fair skin tones. When I wore it over bare skin as a highlighter, it lasted for just over seven and a half hours. It didn’t seem to impact the longevity of my foundation when mixed with it.

Love the soft focus effect, very pretty.
It’s verys ubtle!
I love pale gold for summer glow.
Me too!
I’m so “on the fence” about the whole Champagne Pop line-up. I already have Moonstone and I have the feeling they are similar enough (with Moonstone perhaps being a bit cooler or more neutral) that I don’t need this as well.
I feel like unless you use Moonstone all the time and had that “I wish it was warmer” feeling, you can easily skip both! Or perhaps get Champagne Pop in a different type (e.g. if you have Moonstone pressed, maybe Champagne Pop liquid/poured).
I’m a bit leery of the poured formula after my less than happy experiences with Benefit Watts Up; I prefer liquid and powder (I have Moonstone in the liquid version and the white one – Pearl? Opal? I can never remember) in the powder, though I may also treat myself to it in the liquid format one day. “Warmer” isn’t something I usually crave and I think if I did, I’d opt for the Sephora luminizing drops in one of the warmer shades.
Gotcha! I think it’s a definite skip then! 🙂
It’s glowing! I luuurve it!
It’s nice!
I really enjoy the diffused look that these liquide illuminators provide, I always use the one in opal as a primer under foundation, it helps my skin to look more plump and glowing, instead of dry and dull. Christine I really love the look you created here, so beautiful!
Thank you, Karen! I agree – they are great for mixing in or applying all-over.
I am pretty stoked about this collection and I think this will be THE one that I’ll end up getting! It seems to be a popular product and one that I can easily incorporate into my routine!
Yayyy! Enjoy, Stephanie!
Wow, I’m amazed by how much lighter and less warm this liquid version of Champagne Pop is to the pressed version! I swatched the pressed version in store, and it was waaay too dark and warm orangy on my skin, but this would be very wear-able on me. It’s pretty !
Same here, Katherine! It is much lighter/yellower based!
Like others, I like the subtle glow. I have Charlotte Tilbury’s Wonder Glow, among others, so this is a pass for me. The Champagne collection doesn’t appeal much to me. I do like this softer focus, though.
I don’t think I have Wonder Glow, but it seems very similar!
Hmm, I can’t tell if this is on your face.
Like I mentioned in the last reply to you, it is on my cheek bone, where the light is reflecting and is a bit golden compared to the rest of my face 🙂
Could you please make comparison swatches with pearl/moonstone/opal liquid versions? Can’t find any online and would be so helpful 🙂
They are all in the Swatch Gallery!
Oh sorry, couldn’t find them! Thank you 🙂
Very, very pretty Christine.
Thank you, Genevieve!
I love this on you!
P.s Interesting that this is cooler than Moonstone which I have!
Thanks, Claire!
Hi Christina,
I was browsing eBay and it looks Mike someone selling cheap fake Tarte eyebrow brushes uses your eye makeup look as marketing foto. Just to let you know. Great blog!
Thank you!
This is a subtle and gentle highlight on your NC25 complexion, therefore I don’t know that it would do much for my NC37-40 complexion? Except *possibly* lighten and brighten areas? Or just make me look sweaty? Idk?
I’d probably go for one of the darker ones if you wanted to try the liquid version, since they’re very subtle anyway!
Oddly enough I prefer the liquid and I think it might be good for my red red cheeks!
Nice!
Beautiful! (I think the price may be listed incorrectly here, my jaw hit the floor!)
You’re correct – I messed up majorly! It’s actually $41, but it contains 1.7 fl. oz.
I love how this looks it gives the most soft subtle glow! I hate shimmery highlighters!
Happy to hear it!
I thought this shade was an easy pass because the powder was all bad for me. But this liquid …….I might need it. At least I have several days to mull it over. Emergency dental work = unintended low buy. The light from payday…….I can almost see it lol and it looks ….like this liquid.
This is definitely a lot less shimmery/warm-toned compared to the powder!
Did this have a slight smell and also is the bottle totally full when u get it or partial? Trying to see if I want to purchase 🙂
I didn’t notice any scent, and I did not weigh it or dump it out to see how much was in it.
Would love to know which liquid highlighter is better to mix with my foundation, champagne pop liquid or cover fx enhancer drops? PLEASE HELP, idk what to buy. Both of them are really expensive.
Becca is sheerer, whereas Cover FX is more pigmented – it is a personal preference.
