This shade is supposed to be a combination between the brand’s Opal highlighter and Wild Honey blush, and it is exclusive to Becca’s website. The texture was soft, lightly dusty but blendable and didn’t look powdery on the skin. I was actually surprised by the resulting finish, as it was luminous without being metallic–this is the least shimmery highlighter I’ve seen from Becca. It’s very hard to overdo, which made it more forgiving, while a lot of their range is so intense that a light hand is necessary! The texture wasn’t as smooth or as cream-like as the permanent shades, though, but I don’t think it looks dry or powdery on the skin, which is where it counts the most. It had good pigmentation that was buildable from semi-opaque to opaque. On me, the color lasted well for seven and a half hours.

All the swatches you see on Instagram make this look so much lighter in tone. I don’t understand why people feel the need to jack up the saturation and contrast on these swatches when what we really want to see is what you have provided for us here: an honest swatch in realistic light. I though this was like, a lighter pinky shade based on the pictures I have seen thus far. I almost dipped my toe into the Becca pool, but I’m glad you swooped in to rescue my wallet.

Hey Anime!

Becca did just release Rose Quartz, which is at Sephora as of this AM – and that one is pinker so is it possible that some swatches are of that one instead? I don’t have that one yet (I did order!) but have seen some very light pink swatches of that one making the rounds! Bronzed Amber is definitely more in the copper/brown family (even just looking at it in the pan) and definitely not pink! 🙂

I SEE! That’s what I was thinking when I read the name, I was so thrown there for a second. It was the pattern that fooled me, because I know RQ is releasing with this pattern as well. I did a little digging and you are definitely correct — they are most certainly two different shades. This is comforting! Bronzed Amber looks great on you but I am definitely excited to see you rock a frosty pink shimmer!

Yes, I like an honest brand! My respect for Becca just went up another notch. We all know of brands that issue the same eye shadow colors in different palettes, but just re-name them so they seem different, wouldn’t it be nice if they disclosed that it’s the same color 😉

I kind of guessed from the online pictures that this might be muted! I am a tad disappointed that it is not intense though. We already have sheen like highlighters in the market by other brands.. Becca’s unique for their intense pigmentation… Oh well.. I’ve already ordered this one anyhow..

Very pretty. I think this will work more as a highlighting blush. At least to me it looks that way in your pictures (beautiful by the way) so fingers crossing it might make it to Sephora or Ulta…possible caving in then haha.

I also have Opal and Wild Honey and I’ll give the mixing a whirl. Christine I wanted to say that you look lovely in this picture and I look forward to all of the looks you show, and I try and copy many of them. I love your blog – keep up the excellent work.

Hi Christine, in the above picture are you wearing this as a blush or just a highlight? You look amazing. I love your reviews and always trust you. Thank you so much for everything that you do for us makeup addicts!!

Christine,

You look so stunning in this FOTD. I absolutely love the way your makeup compliments your already gorgeous face.

I really like this & I’m hoping that a non self imposed no buy will be lifted for the holidays so I can get my hands on it.

Will you or anyone please give an update on the banner if this becomes available to buy through Sephora, ULTA, Macy’s, etc.? PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF NOT HAVING ANOTHER HUGE FIGHT WITH MY HUSBAND.

Thank you in advance!
