MAC Glace Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Glace Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm
MAC Glace Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm ($19.50 for 0.33 fl. oz.) is described as a “creamy pale baby blue.” In the tube, it’s a cloudy, pale blue with iridescent pink-copper shimmer. It’s actually very, very similar to MAC Chillin’, except Chillin‘ is a bit milkier. MAC Ethereal is more shimmery.
On lips, it cancels out some of my natural lip color and gives it a cooler cast while adding a touch of shimmer and general milkiness. It’s not like you’re wearing a bright blue gloss, though (which may have been what you were wanting or may have been what was keeping you away!). The formula is only supposed to give a tint of color along with a high shine, while being incredibly moisturizing. It’s so-so in the hydration department–enough that lips feel nourished while worn, but the formula doesn’t impart any long-lasting hydration. The color payoff is sheer but gives lips a milky appearance while allowing the natural lip color to come through. Glace wore for three hours, and the texture was just a touch tacky from the start and gradually became tackier as it wore on.

I love that! It’s quite subtle, but cool toned lips suit me, and I’m sure it could be used to cool down lip colours that pull too warm.
I’m know I’m in the minority here, but I really, really like this! I’ve been loving MAC Chillin’ to pale and cool down my lips, and I’m sure this will be a nice replacement.
Hello Christine, the link to MAC Ethereal is not the right one.
Thank you so much for your work !
I think this would just make me look like I was really cold! Can’t say that anything in this collection has really caught my eye anyway though, so I’ll think I’ll be giving it a miss.
This one isn’t grabbing me at all. Will Raspberry Swirl be up soon? I’m dying over here. 😉
No, sorry, I do not have that.
Honestly, I looked at this and thought what’s the point? But I can see it as a potential layering product similar to how I use MAC Ruffian gold to warm up super cool lipsticks only in the reverse. I am however taking a pass as I just picked up OCC lip tar in Pris awhile back and while it’s not blue, it is quite neutral heading cool and I think it has greater versatility for my purposes.
I’m sorry to request this but do you think if is possible that you can do a swatch with some nude lipstick first (like blankety or creme d nude) then put MAC Glace Mineralize Tinted Lip Balm
over, just to see if the green stands out more or if it just mixes and makes no difference =] Thanx
Sorry, I don’t do combinations – I just don’t have time to do that on top of all of the other lip swatching and testing 🙁
$20 for a sheer lip balm? i’ve been a fan of MAC for a while, but i’ve really gone off them recently. but they keep releasing pointless crap like this, reformulating and discontinuing quality products & raising prices to a luxury pricepoint. their are much better brands out there now /rant
& wow that was worded horribly haha, lack of sleep sorry!
The only thing I wish is that they were more hydrating – if it’s going to be lip balm, and high-end lip balm, it has to be super moisturizing!
I already have very pigmented lips, so I’m not sure if this would even show up on me. Usually tinted lip balms don’t do much for me.
That’s a strange color
