Best Products of the Week | Vol. 334
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: probably a simple eye look (most of mine are simple) of ABH shadows – Gleam on the inner 1/5th and Chocolate Crumble (I think) on the remainder of my mobile lid and into the crease; Sephora Cappuccino liner, Tarte Paaarty blush (I found it in a drawer – actually thought I’d given it away as it’s not a good colour for me but I hadn’t; decided to try it and it actually works really nicely, to my utter suprise); MAC Craving on lips
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer (I think that’s the name – it’s the one with the bingo dabber type sponge applicator); for such an inexpensive product it is a surprisingly good concealer (but I hate the sponge applicator and wish it came in a squeeze tube with a narrow tip).
Any products you want to use next week?: Since seeing the Beckham Mink eyeshadow, I think it might be the Huda Jaguar palette (which has two dupes for it).
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: My makeup looks this past week have been centred around using UD’s Naked 1 palette – with Sin over the lid, either Toasted or Smog on the lower lid, Half Baked next to the lashline or in the crease and Darkhorse somewhere. I tried to vary the shades every day so I would produce a different look. It is a versatile palette and one that UD should never have d/c. I paired the eye looks with either Maybelline’s Mauve for Me, Sephora’s Festival Lights lipstick or CP’s Foolish.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: UD Naked 1
Any products you want to use next week?: I think I will move on and try Naked 2 next week, as well as some of my quints and quads.
You are so right about Naked 1. I also never understood why on earth UD would discontinue such a winner palette, one that started a great trend. Part of me thought “oh, maybe it’s reached “market saturation” but that makes no sense because new people are always coming along and starting to use makeup but also, folks like you and me and millions of others, I’m sure, would eventually finish the palette and want another to replace it… It used to be my “go to” travel palette but once it was discontinued, i stopped taking it away, lest it get lost (I prefer to travel – if I ever feel safe flying again – with makeup that can be replaced if damaged or lost in my luggage). They should never have discontinued the original or Naked 2 or Naked Smoky – the best of the whole Naked bunch. And Toasted is one of the most beautiful and, I think, universally flattering/wearable eyeshadows ever.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name. I’m Asian with dark hair and dark eyes.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: No specific favorite makeup looks this week. Kept everything simple and just really wore blush and something on the lips.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Definitely Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3. My skin looks really good. I’m so happy. If you try it please wear sunscreen religiously.
Any products you want to use next week?: I want to try some more of the ColourPop Blush Stix that I got. I love the formula,
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, warm brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I really liked a blue/green look I did with the Lethal is Dead palette. Here’s the link if you want to check it out! https://www.instagram.com/p/CaCu9F9r_q2/?utm_medium=copy_link
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Probably my Paula’s Choice Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defense Sunscreen. I can mix that with or put it under anything and it just perfects the look of my skin and adds extra protection. It’s a beautiful product.
Any products you want to use next week?: I hope my Hela and Tropical Vibes palettes will be in this week so I can use them. It’s in the shipping god’s hands now.
Your skin tone/coloring: Above, grey green eyes and dark brown hair
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I think it’s what I wear today, Victoria Beckham eyeshadow quad in Tuxedo, a dark grey eyeliner from Ciate, MAC Dollymix blush and Lisa Eldridge Velvet Myth lipstick. MAC powder foundation, I never remember what it’s called. Charlotte Tilbury eyebrow pencil in Supermodel, Becca highlighter in Pearl on the innermost corners of the eyes and on the cupid bow. I dabbed on a bit of Benefit High Beam HL, can’t recall the shade.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: I kind of love Becca Pearl, I use it almost every day.
Any products you want to use next week?: After reading the post by Genevieve I think I have to locate Naked 1, or 2. I’ve not used any of the Naked palettes in a long time, and the first three are quite lovely.
