Best Products of the Week | Vol. 310
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂
- Your skin tone/coloring:

💋Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral
💋What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
Huetopian Bronze Desire all over and under eye blended up into crease, ND Zendo vigor on top concentrating more above crease, Huetopian blitz sextreme patted on inner third.
💋What was the hero product of the week for you?: I’m finding adding Jane Iredale pressed mineral foundation over sunscreen and whatever face base I am using is giving me better sun protection than heavier SPF products under foundation.
💋Any products you want to use next week?: I decided to pick up ND Bronze e/s palette because I am wearing a lot of warmer colours these days.. that said, the more neutral Retro palette may have snuck into my order at the same time 😉
Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I copied a Wayne Goss eye look for older eyes using Benefit Cookie highlighter on the lid for the glowing lid shadow he recommended and #2 from the Huda Jaguar palette with the black shadow (#8?) pushed into the lash line. My lids were a bit on the “glowy” side of things for an every day type look but it was fun to try…and I’ll do it again
What was the hero product of the week for you?: probably Lise Watier SunSmart facial sunscreen my beloved Marc Jacobs BravO eyeshadow
Any products you want to use next week?: More of the Jaguar palette (I used what I thought would be the blah, unused shadow – #7 – on my lids before going to the gym this morning and it turns out it’s basically a powder version of Painterly for me….evens out the colour of my lids and just looks wide awake; it’s not nearly as peach or warm as I thought it would be and now I want to give similar unloved shades in other palettes a walk ’round the block, so to speak)
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Ooh, it’s a tossup between today’s look and yesterday’s! Today I jumped the shark with every green in the ColourPop Tinkerbell palette, such beautiful iridescent green shimmers (the lighter 2 greens), perfect browbone shade too with the light beigey shade. Worn with MAC Spring Flock, ABH Amrezy highlighter and Huda Beauty Light Tan bronzer, Huntress liquid lipstick.
Yesterday, I totally copied your Huda Jaguar eye look, and it looked AMAZING! Gave my eyes that green cat eyes effect. Went with the same Huda bronzer, Tarte Paaarty Amazonian Clay Blush and MAC La Leyenda Highlighter, Huntress liquid lipstick in the Huda Lip Kit that coordinates with the Wild line of e/s palettes.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Definitely my foundation! Because it’s been such a humid summer, and still is. For reference: MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Nourishing Foundation NW35 is still going strong.
Any products you want to use next week?: Definitely more CP Tinkerbell and Huda Jaguar! Also, SG x Temptalia On The Horizon in an effort to get the Huda Python palette effect? We’ll see how that works out for me!
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Using my Naked 3 palette over a couple of days, I tried to use different colour combinations: Dust, Buzz and Darkside; Burnout, Trick and Mugshot. I generally paired them with either Maybelline’s Mauve for Me or CP’s Gallop. Again, it reminds me of how good UD used to be.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Naked 3
Any products you want to use next week?: I think I will give Naked 2 a whirl.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I went wild with my Clionadh multichromes, starting off with “Patina” all over the lid, with “Ripple” layered on top in the inner lid. I then used “Glimmer” along the inner part of the lower lashline
What was the hero product of the week for you?: My Clionadh multichromes
Any products you want to use next week?: I’m hoping to pull out my “Dear Reader” single from Sydney Grace
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I think it was a green/orange look I did with the Beauty Bay Wilderness palette. It was my first time using the palette; I’m so impressed with it! Here’s the link if you’re interested in checking out my look:

What was the hero product of the week for you?: Oh, I don’t even know… I switch my makeup around so much, that I don’t really have hero products!
Any products you want to use next week?: More Wilderness palette, Shroud IFB or Arcana palette, my Clionadh singles and Terra Moons singles and Lunar Beauty Eternal Eclipse palette.
