Best & Worst of MAC Boom, Boom, Bloom Collection
Now that I’ve finished reviewing all of the products I had on deck to review from the newly-released MAC Boom, Boom, Bloom Collection, here’s a look at how well (or poorly) the products did. It came as no surprise that the lipsticks performed the best, while the eyeshadow palette was more ho-hum. I think the texture of the High-Light Powders was particularly lovely, but they’re marketed so wrong that they make it painfully clear what so many readers loathe oversprays!

Yes, the lip products were, for the most part, the star of this collection. I did pick up the 2 rich raspberry lip products: Framboise Moi and Cherry Mochi. Will probably get the special Fix+, as some are spraying it in their hair, which, while it sounds crazy, it’s something I could see myself legit doing!
As for the Spring Bling Highlight Powder that I was set on getting, it doesn’t look like much on me when I tried it out. Just a more rich version of the “bronzer” from the Aaliyah Collection. I do like it as something to warm up my complexion while adding a slight shimmer, so that’s a “maybe” still.
It’s definitely a pink themed collection and the lipsticks were the heroes. I did like the eyeshadow palette -I liked the cohesive shades for a more subtle look, but of course, wished that some of the shades had performed better.
I really liked the look of the high light powder in Fleur. It is really disappointing though that any shine to it is just because of the over spray. For me that makes it a big no purchase wise. I love the look of the lipsticks as well, especially Framboise Moi, I think the colour of that one is stunning. The lipglosses are pretty, but I tend to stay away from them as I do not get on with the texture and the longevity on me is always really bad. The palette for me is also a no, I think the colours are nothing that I already do not own. So for me I think it will be just be the lipstick/s from this release, which is lucky for my bank account as I have just purchased the ABH Riviera palette and the whole of the Ciate release, lol.
