Agreed! Far too many items that are permanent… It feels like MAC’s just giving up. Although one could make an argument that this happened a while ago…

I wish MAC would improve their images of products. It’s so obvious that they’re just using a stock image and changing the colour electronically! I suppose most companies do that, but it’s only MAC that I notice it with.

queenielizzie Avatar

I KNOW! This really bugs me, when I can see that an image has clearly been altered! How can I trust that the color is an accurate representation?

Cecilia Avatar

the embossing is pretty cute. Looking forward to restocking my stash with Shell Pearl. Loved this from the Liberty London collection — been afraid of running out lol.

Elysia Avatar

oooo I love the models make-up in the promo! I have been buying less and less MAC eyeshadows the past few years, since their quality is going down, but this looks intriguing!

Jennifer Avatar

It’s been a long time since I’ve been inspired by a new MAC launch, due to poor product quality, inconsistency in formulas, a quantity-over-quality mentality, the increase in price coinciding with a decrease in the amount and (yes, again) quality, pushy salespeople, and generally poorly thought through themes for new collections.

That said, I think that the main promotional image is absolutely stunning. It’s a pity that the entire collection consists of repromotes and permanent products.

Emma Avatar

I said the Archie something collection looked cheap and not very interesting.. Now THAT collection looks A LOT better. I will definitely have a look at the lipsticks becuse I think the design is something completely new and although I try not to let myself trick into buying something by pretty packaging or design, but this is tempting… And honestly… the Beauty Powder looks amazing.

I have wanted plumful for awhile so might get it in this collection if it doesn’t sell out so quickly. I wish they had changed the packaging though.

Lauren Avatar

No- not frosty- it’s more of a glow. I use Shell Pearl as a peachy/pink highlighting blush because it packs enough colour for my NW20 skin tone. It adds a very healthy glow- kind of like Dior Amber Glow…

Lisa Avatar

I was so intrigued when I saw the promo for this collection, but what a disappointment that it’s almost all the same as the permanent line, but with a jacked up price. And there isn’t even special packaging as far as I can tell, just an imprint on the product itself. I mean, it’s cool, but it’s not going to look so great once you start actually using the product. I wish they had incorporated the design from the box packaging into the actual product.

cel Avatar

This is the best promo photo ever, so it doesn’t make sense that they’re all repromotes 🙁 well it kinda does, but I think it’s a waste

Deb Avatar

Totally on the same page! That was actually the first thought that popped into my head when I saw that Plumful was one of the lipsticks. This one has been on my ‘to-get’ list for ages!

JQ Avatar

I like the packaging on the box, but since I’m not going to hang on to a piece of cardboard, this can’t be considered a great selling point. It’s too bad. The beautiful use of color in the promo pics would lead one to expect more inspiring products.

Lauren Avatar

I just hit pan on my Shell Pearl beauty powder from Liberty of London!!! I use it as a glowing blush!!! Looks fantastic on! I skipped the last time it was repromoted because I hadn’t hit pan yet. Glad I waited!

I love this so much. The snake embossing is just beautiful, nd the packaging is stunning. If I had the cash I would be buying SO much of this… and with colours like Carbon eyeshadow, we can all use that, right? So having large shadow in pure black is actually useful rather than a gimmicky colour you may only use occasionally AND Once Upon a Time looks like a great highlight shade. Add to that three wearable lipsticks and a great looking beauty powder and you have a killer collection!

I wish I got the mailers from MAC because this would make an awesome piece of wall art too… (I have no idea how to get physical mailers in the UK. I get emails, but no postcards)

Aryn Avatar

The promo pic is absolutely eye popping , as well as the Lipstick carvings … BUT … I’m kind of upset that everything in this collection is a Repromote or permanent “/ just when I thought Mac was back on top .

Deb Avatar

I don’t mind at all that these colours are repromotes. I’m happy to be able to get colours I missed and the embossing is beautiful. Really, MAC just can’t win. Why shouldn’t they repromote an item like Shell Pearl that people loved?

Marie Avatar

LADIES!!!!! For those of you that don’t have Push the Edge pigment, I HIGHLY advise that you grab one. It is, by FAR, the most gorgeous purple eyeshadow/eyeliner I’ve ever had. Very easy to blend and very little fall out….I believe this is the THIRD time it’s been released; so it must be popular. I wonder why MAC doesn’t just make it permanent?

Missy Avatar

Out of this collection I’m excited for the relaunch of the Shell Pearl Beauty Powder, but I agree with other comments about the collection seeming a bit “lazy” and too many of the products already being permanents in MAC’s line, there’s nothing that’s really special about it.

Precious Avatar

Late post but here goes…

This collection’s available at my local MAC counter. Weird. Wasn’t it supposed to be exclusive online?
