A Pale, Warm Pink Not to Be Missed

Too Faced Marshmallow Bunny La Creme Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.11 oz.) is described as a “marshmallow pink.” It’s a soft, light-medium pink with subtle yellow undertones. A lot of lighter pinks like this one tend to have cool undertones, so it’s nice to see one with some warmth. MAC Vivid Imagination is darker by several shades. MAC Angel is less warm–almost gray-ish in comparison. Cle de Peau #106 is a smidgen lighter.

Too Faced’s La Creme formula is supposed to be rich in color, creamy, and hydrating.  It definitely nails the creamy part; it is so slick and wet, that it almost feels like a lipstick-balm hybrid.  Despite the slick texture, it wears rather well for this type of texture:  three and a half hours.  It is nicely hydrating both during and post-wear, too.  The one downside is it has a thicker feel on the lips, so it can easily bunch up or show lines if you press your lips together.  Bunny was opaque on lips with a soft frosted sheen.

This looks very similar to how Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake looks on me. It’s a warm pink on me though on you SS it seems to pull very cool toned.

I’m LOVING these La Creme lipsticks. So pigmented and comfortable to wear, they’re seriously making me realize how unacceptable it is for me to overlook lipsticks that dry my lips out just because I like their color.

Well, what do you know? I *am* looking for a warm light pink! This looks really pretty, I’ll have to check it out sometime. Also, the gold case is really cute. Thanks for the review!

I love the permanent line of products they brought out but I’m frustrated as heck as to why I’m 40% more some their products line to Canada while this lipstick is only a 20$ markup. >_<

The shade however is up my ally!

Do you still have MAC Way to Love around to compare?? I’m trying to find a dupe for it and haven’t been able to so far. I’ve tried Cover girl but they aren’t right…This is a really nice warm pink.

Oooh! I previously avoided this one because I thought it might be too pale on me, but it looks really lovely! It’s always nice to see a paler pink with more yellow undertones.

I stumbled onto this formula from feedback from multiple peeps on Temptalia during a favourite lipstick post or something like that anyway. I took a chance and bought two colours including this one. I love it! This works perfectly as a soft and pretty daily wear lipstick with a beautiful creamy and yet not sheer finish that holds up surprisingly well. I leave this handy lipstick in my little portable makeup bag.

I have never tried Too Faced lipstick….hmmm this looks really nice. I have a hard time with pale pinks because my lips are super super pigmented and they always look strange. This looks worth a shot though.

This is such a pretty color on you Christine, but I can already tell it won’t work on me. My lips are naturally pigmented and a tad bit dark. Frosted colors and really light pinks tend to look milky on me, which I can see this color is in the pictures. You pull it off beautifully, but the milky-ness of the color would be more obvious on me, so I’m going to have to pass. 🙁

I love the formula of these lipsticks but the color selection leaves much to be desired. The only colors I’ve found myself wanting are the “spice” ones, and of those, not all of them look good on me. It’s kind of disappointing.

I love the La Creme lipsticks! I now own 4 of them and I don’t usually buy many lipsticks but they are so easy to apply, look and feel great on, and I really like the range of colours.
