5 Golden Eyeshadows for the Holidays

5 Golden Eyeshadows for the Holidays

I could have easily given you a list of ten, being the gold fiend that I am, but I’ll keep it to the current five that really say holiday to me.  I think gold is a very versatile color.  It pairs well with warmer shades like bronze, rust, and berry, but it can also work with cooler-toned shades like violet, teal, and blue.  And if golds not your cup of tea, I have five of my favorite silvers for holiday coming right up.  Any interest in seeing some holiday blue shades? What other holiday-themed favorites would you like to see?

  1. L’Oreal Eternal Sunshine — metallic yellow gold; not too yellow, not too orange
  2. OCC Triptych — rich, molten, honey gold
  3. Make Up For Ever #11 — dirty antique gold
  4. Inglot #430 — frosted, rich gold
  5. MAC Old Gold — tarnished gold

What’s your favorite holiday gold eyeshadow?

I’d actually like to see some holiday-themed looks coming up! Preferably with some kind of tutorial. When was the last time you did a video tutorial? I assume they’re not your personal favourites, but with the holidays coming up, I guess you could give your readers an extra treat :D?

I tend to wear more white golds or silvers since they look better with my coloring, but these are gorgeous to look at. What about some unconventional yet still festive shades? Or a list of products that add a pop of festivity? I’d like to buy one thing that will take my look from daytime to party with minimal time and effort.

My favorite gold? Wow, that’s like picking a favorite child! UD’s Honey, BE’s True Gold and Extravagance, Nars Etrusque. There are so many more though.

I am really impressed with all the Inglot swatches been seeing lately. Wanted to try them for a long time but I’m kind of hesitant to just order online when I can’t swatch them myself and see how they show up against my skintone. Blue holiday shades would be lovely to see. Even red/ burgundy shades would be interesting.

I will have to check these out; I LOVE golds! I’d like to see some holiday looks from you because I think your makeup looks are among the best I can find.

In the Tarte SmolderEYES set, there’s a champagne pencil, which is a pale gold with some peach in it, and there’s the gold pencil, which is more of a bronzy gold with a hint of green. They’re both really lovely, and the formula is fantastic.

While my silver eyeshadow collection is limited, gold is in the running for shade I have most of. Which gold I like most depends on my mood… white golds, pink golds, bronzey golds, taupey golds, golds with yellow, pale golds, anitque golds.. I love them all. I haven’t seen that OCC eyeshadow, I like the sort of golden rod yellow tone it has, so pretty. I don’t buy from L’Oreal because of animal testing BUT that color is stunning.
