Fenty Beauty Chill Owt Collection - Killawatt Foil Palette & Avalanche Set Swatches
Here are swatches of the other two sets, as promised!
Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Palette ($54.00 for 0.70 oz.) is a new highlighter palette that is designed to “create colorful dimension from the cheeks to the eyes.”
Fenty Beauty Avalanche All-Over Metallic Powder Set ($99.00 for 0.25 oz.) includes seven loose powders that can be used “for eyes, cheeks, and lips” (and I did, in fact, swatch them in all of those ways! I used the powders patted over some of the lipsticks from the launch).
(I managed to forget to add the Match Stix by the Dozen set to my cart at the time I bought the rest of the collection, but I did order it and hope to have swatches up after I receive it.)

Please note: the lip swatches show one or more of the powders layered over a lipstick! It’s not just the powder alone, as the brand said to “dab it over lipstick for instant gleam.”
- FOXY: Pumpkin Rose Mattemoiselle Lipstick as base, Foxy on outer left/right with Ice Cream on center
RASPBERRY RAVE: F’n Black Mattemoiselle Lipstick as base, Raspberry Rave on center - ICE CREAM: Pumpkin Rose Mattemoiselle Lipstick as base, Ice Cream on center
- CLEOPATRA: I Quit Mattemoiselle Lipstick as base, Cleopatra on center
- BRAIN FREEZE: I Quit Mattemoiselle Lipstick as base, Brain Freeze on outer left/right, Cleopatra on center

This looks really good! I am not interested in the palette, but I was interested in the loose powders. They look lovely, but the price point is more than I’m willing to pay for loose powders, no matter how many come in the set.
Off topic but I really like the new layout for these types of post. It really condensed everything nicely.
Thank you, Jessica! That was the goal – shortening the post length (and of course, those who want to see the larger photos can do so, just more on-demand rather than by default, so it should save time for those who don’t want to see everything!).
Obviously, this is your blog, and you can do what you feel is best, but I’m personally not digging the new layout… I found it easier to just scroll through, and this new layout takes alot longer to load the images, which is the feature I find most valuable.
Hi Amy,
Hmm! I’m not sure why it would take much longer to load the images because nothing about the actual images changed; to view the larger images, it requires an extra click on your part, but the loading time shouldn’t change as the same images are being loaded (they’re not bigger or smaller). I just tested the load time on my phone and my PC, and all of the full-size images loaded before I could even scroll far enough to check if they had been. I tried being logged in (no caching) and logged out, and on my phone, I used LTE (not wifi) to test. I’ll have my developer look into this later today, though!
We are working hard to improve page loading times, presentation of information, and accessibility for mobile devices, as most of our traffic has shifted to mobile devices. If someone wants to see all of the images, they still can do so, but through page analytics of usage, we determined that scrolling through all the photos was more of a niche use but we have tracking on all of our buttons, so if we see that behavior change, we’ll certainly see it come through on our end.
Thanks for your feedback!
I like the layout, being able to see just swatches is awesome!
I love how you used all products together. I got the metallic crayons on $ frost and I think they do not look good on lips but I love as eyeliner or highlighter. Again I can’t see your actual opionion or even how long they lasted anywhere. I do love this look on you and I plan on using the crayons as eyeliners and using colors together as it’s the latest thing
Did you have any issues with them on your lips … like in terms of wearing? The super frosted finish is not for everyone, so I don’t know if that’s where your comment stems… or from a performance issue. I haven’t had too much time to test anything for wear yet but am concerned for those pencils as lip products!
They don’t glide on your lips like conventional lipstick , I found them stiff but once applied it wasn’t as dry as I’d thought they would be. They definitely applied much easier as eyeliner. They did stay on for about 4 hours , I think as a topper over lipstick might look better, I’m going to try that next. I definitely am going to buy another set but at this point for eyeliners , I buy a lot lot lot of makeup. I mean I literally have bags ( ladies please tell me I’m not the only one) . I’m literally thinking about starting doing reviews in some form . I’m literally tickled you ( who I think you are literally the queen of reviews, you are so photogenic, you’re pics are always gorge!!) I’m super flattered ?
Love the look and the palette looks decent.
I know not everyone is going to agree with me but as much as I love the latest looks you have created using colorful eyeliners, I think they are better left for tutorials. I think I personally have a better idea of how a palette looks when it is the only product being used. Using a colorful eyeliner really change the whole color scheme of look.
Just my two cents.
Thanks for sharing your perspective! I only used the palette on the eye, as it’s an eyeshadow palette, but I do need to use eyeliners that I have to test – this collection has nine alone! – and I really do have to use my time efficiently, which absolutely includes incorporating what I’m testing with other products. There is always a downward-looking shot of just the lid, so you should be able to get plenty of perspective of the eye palette in action that way, hopefully! Other times, eyeliner is one of the few remaining ways for me to have a little “fun” with makeup that’s not always dictated by what I need to test – I am kind of known for teal eyeliner – but I pick hues that I think pull the eyeshadows together (at least by my eye!). I find that it helps me be marginally creative/get enjoyment on a deeper level.
Thanks for understanding 🙂
Loving that F’n Black & Raspberry Rave lip combo.
Me, too!
I agree, that’s stunning!!!
I’m excited for the highlighter palette and the blue/purple/silver metallic pencils, I’m hoping to try those out. I’m always so hyped when Fenty releases something new.
The Avalanche set is a bunch of gorgeousness! Not going to be dropping another mega coinage on any one item for a good little while, though. (stay tuned!)
The Killawatt Foil Palette is another story. I love the shades in this so much, but I will wait to see whether or not I can dupe the shades already or not. I’m feeling a strong UD Heavy Metal vibe coming from this. ?
The particular products, though pretty, aren’t really useful for me, but I have to say that I love this new layout! It’s so easy to use. Good job!
Okay, Christine your eye look is the bomb! And I knew that the pigments would be the better choice in this collection, but my Sephora didn’t have them during our Gold party (-25% off everything), so I went with the Killawatt palette and am disappointed. I’ll have to find dupes and try to recreate the look though! Thanks!
Oh, that’s too bad – why are you disappointed in the Killawatt palette?
I believe the larger sets are all online only!
Well, I guess I was wrong to think I could use it alone (I’m a rare cookie who likes to play with an all shimmer or sparkle look) or even have a real bang effect with the foil. When you swatch them (especially the original ones, the duos) they look awesome, but these seem more fad, almost frost like versus foils. Your swatches (the side with the brush is on the right correct?) sort of reveals my experience on the lid (and that even with Sonia G’s Worker 1) or lesser expensive synthetic brushes.
Ack, I wasn’t going to get the Avalanche set, but now I’m torn—so pricey, but so pretty!!
Also, I’m really loving the new layout!
These are really stunning shades in the palette. I am not a fan of the loose eyeshadows and the lipstick shades are not for me either. But I do think it is a colourful collection.
I love the new format too Christine.
Wow!
February on the lips surprised me!
Gorgeous.
I can´t wait for the review. I swatched them on my hand right before going to the gym and even before I started my workout they had completely faded away. I usually go for a quick sephora look around before heading upstairs to the gym and most things I swatch on my hands survive the day´s training but not this one!
