Skin Tone/Coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair
Favorite Look:
EYES: Bare Minerals Bare Sensuals Eye Palette (Hot Spell as transition, Mystery in crease, Waltz on lid, Hard to Get on brow bone), Diorshow Brow Styler 004, Clinique Brow Shaper, NYX Worth The Hype Mascara.
FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Blurring Powder for Under Eyes, Dermablend Loose Setting Powder, Clinique Berry Pop Blush, Diorskin Nude Luminizer in Pink Glow.
LIPS: Rouge D’Armani #502 (a gorgeous medium dusty pink-ish mauve).
Most Used Products: Diorshow Brow Styler, Clinique Brow Shaper, NYX Worth The Hype Mascara, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Secret Blurring Powder for Under Eyes.
New Discoveries: Aussie Headstrong Volume Mousse. I decided to save some money by trying a drugstore hair volumizer. I was at the grocery store and chose this one randomly. Well, this stuff made my hair so full and silky…and for less than $4! This will save me a lot of money over time. (I don’t feel so bad about my Chanel lipstick purchase now.)
My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Favorite look you wore: Diorskin Forever Foundation (I had a sample container), Dior Rosy Glow blush and Pink/02 Luminizer; eyes – so simple, just Buxom Mink Magnet shadow with Sephora Cappuccino liner and Marc Jacobs Skinny Blacquer to tightline upper lashes; MAC Craving on lips
Most used product of the week: The Estee Edit Radiance Activator (I found it AGAIN at Marshall’s; I now have 3 bottles of it and I’m ridiculously tempted to go back and get 1 or 2 more – nuts, I know….)
Any new beauty discoveries: The lovely Clinique duo in Neutral Territory is a new discovery and MAC Laugh a Lot lipstick is a “rediscovery”. I need to find a dupe for this beauty.
My skin tone/coloring: yellow-neutral NC37ish, Dior Backstage 3N, Filorga Flash-Nude 02 (Nude Gold)
Favorite look you wore: No favorite, just enjoyed having colorful eyes with a number of different palettes and mauve cheeks and lips (which I don’t normally do, but Fall is finally here, so I’m trying to adapt).
Most used product of the week: MAC Sheertone Blush in Pinch Me & Marc Jacobs
Any new beauty discoveries: Filorga Flash-Nude Foundation & Time-Flash Express something active primer (carry over from last week, but still enjoying), Benefit Boiing Brightening Concealer (just bought it today, but tried it on a friend and then myself and thought, how did I ever not try this, so now I will), and really enjoyed testing Lancôme Hydra Zen Masque Anti-stress Moisturizing Overnight Serun-in-mask (does anyone regularly use this and what are your thoughts? I really like Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense for my day cream now, but I’m thinking of paring it with the overnight serum from Lancôme).
Oops, I forgot to complete Marc Jacobs Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick in 556 One Mauve Time (too cute!)
And left off I found a new, but old beauty discovery: Lush Base Teint “Plus Jeune” (Younger), a very hydrating and brillant, highlighter base like a Mac’s Strobe Cream, but a tad thicker and with more shimmer. If you have dull skin adding this to your foundation or under it helps a lot.
Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes
Favorite look : I’ve played around w many looks from the ABH Sultry palette. Love this palette!
Most used products : MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Fling. MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation. Cover Girl Remarkable Mascara in Very Black and Tarte Lights, Camera and Lashes Mascara. Lorac Pink blush (old formula). Cargo Swimmables Eyeliner in Pebble Beach. Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder in Translucent Light. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal. Loreal True Match Concealer in fair. MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow in Creme Brulee. Smashbox Anti Shine Base (primer). Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Fig. ABH Sultry Palette.
New Beauty Discoveries : Aside from ABH Sultry, I’ve discovered Morphe lipglosses. Bought Frose and it’s a beautiful sheer pink with shimmer. Make a nice lip topper. Also discovered MAC Holiday Collection. I’m trying to resist most of it but I caved and bought the Shiny Pretty Things Rose Eyeshadow Palette. So pretty!. Now if I can resist those highlighters. Those are so pretty but I’m telling myself I’m too pale to make them work lol
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look you wore: My birthday look! EYES — TF Shadow Insurance. UD Beached Palette: Daybreak (crease), Salt (transition; brow bone), Wedge (outer corner of crease), Double Dip (inner 1/2 of lid), Plunge (outer 1/2 of lid). UD Moondust in Vega (center of lid) and ABH HL in Blue Moon (inner corner). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper waterline). Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara. BROWS — ABH eyeshadow in Love Letter. LIPS — Ciate Glitter Flip in Siren. CHEEKS — Wet n Wild Zombie Blush. Most used product of the week: UD Naked Cherry and ColourPop It’s a Princess Thing palettes; MAC Lipstick in Finally Free; my usual dailies.
Any new beauty discoveries: I was going to destash my Kevyn Aucoin The Essential Eyeshadow Set Palette in The Spring Eye, because the shades ended up being so sheer that I never wore them. Then I realized they were very much like the funky highlighters I love. So now it’s a travel-sized highlighter palette, and much more useful to me.
That whole look sounds amazing! And happy birthday!
Thanks so much, CeeBee!
Good thinking on making the Kevyn HL. Your insta is beautiful. I watched a vid on a HL I considered… MUR’s The Blood of Your Enemies. Loved the idea of a red HL, but, wow. Not so much. I’ll bet I could mix up a better powder one. Color HL is my thing, too, and I’ve used a bunch of old e/s that are on the sheer side.
Thank you! I need to post to IG more often. I still feel weird posting selfies…like I’m trying to show off, or something. The introvert in me, I suppose.
I got Blood of Your Enemies, but haven’t tried it between migraines and such. I’m sorry to hear it wasn’t so good. Maybe I’ll just keep it as a decoration. The shimmery red in the skull bottle is pretty cool. 😉
I love the funky HL shades. ABH Moonchild, Looxi Beauty Highlighters, and BH Cosmetics Blacklight Palette are my jams.
My skin tone/coloring: Light medium, yellow undertones. Dark brown hair & eyes.
Favorite look you wore: A mauve, gold and chocolate eye with Revolution Velvet Rose, Zoeva Rock N Roll Bride eyeliner, tawny nude blush and golden peach highlighter from the Golden Sugar 2 palette and Bite Rhubarb on lips.
Most used product of the week: Designer Brands 24hr foundation – thanks Genevieve!
Any new beauty discoveries: Just testing out the Revolution brand – I ordered online and then discovered nearly the whole range stocked at a department store that I hardly ever go to, LOL. I did pick up a couple more things since I could see them in person but overall, I like most of what I’ve tried. They aren’t the most pigmented eyeshadows but they do blend and layer nicely, last all day (over primer) and super affordable. There are “better” formulas out there but $10NZD vs $42USD/$65NZD is no contest when it looks exactly the same once applied.
You downunders really get the shaft on m/u prices. It’s a shame that it winds up being so extravagant.
Do we ever!!! We don’t get nearly the same range or choices either and I have happily spent big $$$ on some amazing stuff but I pretty much have to get it all online, sight unseen.
FYI, Sephora NZ has a Natasha Denona Duo Glow Shimmer powder available for $152! They can piss right off, I bought Alba a couple of months back for $38USD off Beautylish. The UD Cherry palette is $91NZD here. MAC lipstick $40.
Needless to say, I do like a bargain 😉
My skin tone/coloring: Medium w olive undertones, MAC NC37, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w gold flecks.
Favorite look you wore: On Thursday, I got to use my just received Pat McGrath Bronze Seduction Palette, and OMG, how beautiful! Eyes: MAC Orb on browbone, everything else is PMG Bronze Seduction, Entrapment transition and lower lashline, Disobedient crease and to define lower lashline, Skinshow Divine Glow inner lid and tearduct, Rose Gold 005 on lid, with Blitz Flame blended inward from outer lid, UD Alkaline and Starfire on lower lashline slightly smudged, usual mascara, gel liner and tightliner pencil. Cheeks: UD Jawbone, Nars Goulue and ABH Amrezy highlighter. Lips: Nyx Auburn SLP, MAC More Than A Woman lipstick from the Aaliyah collection.
Most used product of the week: Other than my usual HG products that I use in almost every single look, I cannot think of anything that got used more than once this week!
Any new beauty discoveries: That my taste is far too expensive for me to keep going on this way. I have officially scared myself this week. #needsrehab
So you did end up getting Bronze Seduction? Isn’t it gorgeous???????
It’s probably one of the most perfect eyeshadow palettes I have ever used!
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look you wore: This is hard to pick – but I did an eye look using Guerlain’s Les Aquas. You have to be careful with this quad, as it is so pigmented and the shades bright. I used the soft aqua shade on my lids, with the darker blue (a smidgeon) on my lower lids and blended the grey with the soft aqua. I paired it with EA Ginger Spice lipstick.
Most used product of the week: My Innoxa Navy blue mascara. It’s a volumizing one, so it just thickens my lashes without lengthening them. A lovely shade.
Any new beauty discoveries: Yes, I was cleaning all my brushes and looking at the remnants of brush sets that I have purchased in the past, but not used. I discovered this fine brush – an eyeliner brush I would say. Anyway, it has become extremely useful when applying a fine line of colour on my lower lids.
Skin tone: Very fair/pale with neutral undertones. I am going with neutral now since I have had so many conflicting reports on my undertone. I just ordered Shiseido Synchro Skin Foundation in the lightest neutral tone and tried the Clinique Perfecting Foundation/Concealer Foundation in the lightest neutral tone and my daughter likes the tone of the Clinique one. I feel like it is a bit heavy and mask like on me so I have grey hair and dark brown eyes.
Favorite look: I only put full face on one day this week so I guess I will have to go with that! It wasn’t a bad look just ho-hum. I used the By Terry Stick Foundation that I purchased at Harrods in London. That sales associate was good, dang it. She sold me 5 products and I didn’t even go there to buy makeup!! Anyway, I used that foundation applied with my Artis Brush. I had been using my fingers to apply while in Europe because I didn’t love how it looked using the BB. It just ate up too much of the product and at that price for a tiny tube I wasn’t having that. I don’t hate it but it is drying and my skin is dry to begin with so not a HG foundation for me. I used Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer in Chantilly, Clinique Rosy Pop Blush, Clinique Chubby Stick Highlighter and Guerlain Setting Powder. For my eyes I used the Smashbox Cover Shot palette in Punked and used Stila Shimmer and Glow Liquid Shadow in La Douce over the mobile lid. I tight-lined with MJ Blaquer and finished with Cover Girl Super Sizer mascara. Couldn’t be bothered with my usual two or three mascara routine, LOL. Lips were Too Faced Peach Kiss Moisture Matte in Homecoming Queen. I finished it all off with about half a bottle of MAC Fix +. Photo is a little blurry since I was using the back camera on my phone and it is always blurry for some reason but here is the look on my IG.

Most used product: Clinique Moisture Surge Jelly and Clinique Pop’s for lips. I picked up a couple of different shades and have worn them a lot as they are easy to use without a mirror, don’t slide all over or bleed up into my lip lines and are very comfortable. May pick up a couple of other shades.
New beauty discoveries: That I have no will power when it comes to Pat McGrath products. I didn’t get home until pretty late last night so no reason to answer Friday Haul question but suffice to say I made a huge dent in my pocket book with the Opulence release, some purchases from Toshiya @fudejapan, a trip to Sephora in Missoula, Ulta in Missoula and 3 on-line orders. I am trying to make up for all the makeup I didn’t buy while on vacation, well except for that Harrods purchase from By Terry, LOL. Will post pictures of haul when everything gets here , on my IG.
Lovely look!
My skin tone/coloring: light, neutral-reddish undertones
Favorite look you wore: Eyes – Jaclyn Hill palette with Bella Pierre shimmer eyeshadow. Face – Meow Cosmetics mineral foundation. Lips – a Colourpop pink lippie stix I’ve been carrying in my purse.
Most used product of the week: I used everything once
Any new beauty discoveries: I finally bought some of the Wet n Wild liquid highlighters!
