My skin tone/coloring: light to medium, warm undertones MAC NC 23 ish/MAC Matchmaster 1.5 and 2, Tom Ford Bisque or Natural
Favorite look you worn: Lately it’s been from the MAC She’s A Model x9 palette – I use the light taupe matte as the transition, the medium brown as the crease, deepen the crease with one of the dark browns and the outer v with the blue and dark brown mixed. And the greeny yellow frost shade (in the upper right hand corner) on the lid. I love this – this is the only way I can wear a blue and it doesn’t read blue at all in the overall look. My eyes are hazel but somehow this magic happens with these colors and placements and my eyes look light golden green. MAC Warm Soul and Buff blushes, ELxVB Modern Mercury highlighter (just because it was there) MAC Apricot Gold mixed with a little bit of Pat McGrath Tropicalia and a little bit of MAC Sunset Rose. I wanted a warmer, almost yellower peachy tone for the lips. This is what me playing with makeup looks like, ha!
Most used product of the week: All of my staples
Any new beauty discoveries: Personal Microdermabrasion thingy is awesome. I use it on my neck, chest and back of my hands.
Skin Tone/Coloring: Skin tone is light neutral, hair is salt-and-pepper, eye color is green with rust-colored flecks near the pupil.
Favorite Look Worn: I started with NYX Proof It Eyeshadow Primer, as usual, then I used the Bare Minerals Bare Sensuals Palette: Fortune as transition shade, Lure to darken the crease, Hot Spell in outer V, and Hard To Get on my inner-to-middle lid and brow bone. Diorshow Brow Styler in 004, Clinique Brow Shaper in Charcoaled, Cover Girl Total Tease Mascara, Estée Lauder Double Wear in Desert Beige, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder, Dior Nude Air Luminizer in Pink Glow, Colourpop Birthday Suit Super Shock Blush, and NARS Powermatte Liquid Lipstick in Save the Queen over MAC Prep + Prime Lip.
Most Used Product: Everything I mentioned above except I wore a different lipstick every day.
New Beauty Discovery: None this week
My skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look you worn: Nars Stud e/s on mobile lid with UD Naked in crease (I think I put UD Sin primer potion on first and then dusted over it lightly with WnW Brulee so the shadows wouldn’t “grab”), Sephora Diving in Malaysia to line with Marc Jacobs black skinny liner tightlining upper lashes; Dior Rosy Glow blush and MAC Craving lipstick (I am so boringly predictable)
Most used product of the week: the Dior blush and Hourglass loose powder
Any new beauty discoveries: Dr. Roebuck’s Bondi spray. I can’t get over how hydrating it is. And discovering that Dr. Roebuck’s is available at SDM.
Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones.
Favorite look: I received the Dior Backstage Collection earlier in the week and used it several times. I didn’t pick up either eye shadow palette but rather the cheek, contour/blush and brow palettes. I have used the contour palette all week on my eyes. I I have varied the placement of the four shades and have used shimmers from the face palette for inner corner highlight and all over the mobile lid for contrast. I am really enjoying using them and paired the very soft, neutral, warm look with a YSL Lip Lacquer in shade 401 for a very nice pop of colour. Really, really enjoying the Backstage collection.
Most used product: The aforementioned Backstage Collection and my current go-to mascara combo, Cover Girl Super Sizer over Dior Iconic Overcurl. Also, I have to say, Pat McGrath Matte Trance lippie in Beautiful Stranger. I have worn all four of the new PMGL matte lippies this week and really love them all. I can’t say enough good things about them but I picked Beautiful Stranger because it isn’t a shade I have worn before and for that reason surprised me the most. It is described as a coral rose and is just stunningly beautiful colour.
Beauty discoveries: Nothing new this week.
Skin tone/ coloring: light medium neutral, blue eyes, brown hair with magenta highlights
Favorite look I wore: I spent the week experimenting with the ColourPop Fortune Palette and TBH, I didn’t love any of the looks and I wiped off quite. few of them and started over. Maybe berry shadow just isn’t for me. Off it goes.
Most used product: The aforementioned palette
Any new beauty discoveries: No
My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones, MAC NC37, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Favorite look you worn: A very autumnal look using rust and green tones for my eyes; MAC Tete-A-Teint transition, Brown Script crease, and Cocktail Black to define crease further, UD Chains inner and outer lid arched to meet in crease, Acid Rain as a halo lid, MAC Nylon tear duct, usual black liner and mascara. Cheeks: UD Jawbone, Smashbox Rosemantic , ABH Amrezy highlighter. Lips: Nyx Earth Tone slim lip pencil, MAC Paramount lipstick with a tiny bit of MAC Aaliyah Brooklyn Born Lipglass worked in.
Most used product of the week: Probably my Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, Essence Midnight In Paris Gel Liner, Smashbox Fishnet eye pencil, and Maybelline Full & Soft WP Mascara, because those get used in almost every look.
Any new beauty discoveries? Nope, nothing comes to mind.
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look you’ve worn this week: EYES — UDPP in Enigma. UD Aphrodisiac Palette: Beyond (crease), Glare (outer 1/2 of lid), NIght Fever (foiled on inner 1/2 of lid), and Whiplash (outer V into a small wing shape, and brought into the true crease). Medusa’s Makeup Totally Baked Eyeshadow in Bitchin’ (inner corner). E.l.f. Blush in Gotta Glow (brow bone). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Deep End smudged out a little with Coloured Raine Vivid Pigment in Neo Blue. Winged Liner using Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum. Physician’s Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Mascara. BROWS — ABH e/s in Love Letter. LIPS — Too Faced Metallic Sparkle Lipstick in TF20. CHEEKS — Tarte Blush in Exposed. FACE — NYX Angel Veil primer; NYX Lancome Teint Idole 24H Long Wear Foundation in 140 (N) Ivoire mixed with Manic Panic white; e.l.f. HD Powder; Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer in Bavarian Cream; Sephora Collection Tranquil (contour); e.l.f. Blush in Gotta Glow (highlighter); e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.
Most used product of the week: Lancome Teint Idole 24H Long Wear Foundation mixed with Manic Panic White, as Mother Nature decided to gift me with a major cystic acne this month. It stands up to the 90°s F weather we’ve been having most of the summer. I’m having to mix it, as I’ve been staying indoors more due to the heat, and doing better with wearing sunscreen. I’m just not as dark this summer.
Any new beauty discoveries: The heavy silicone formula might be the reason I’m having trouble with the Dominique Lemonade Palette. Nancy T. was very helpful when we video chatted about it. The company also responded quickly. They asked me to send some pictures. If we can’t figure it out, they’ll replace it when they get more palettes in stock. So excellent customer service from them!
I tried the UD Aphrodisiac Palette because Phyrra Nyx like it, and we have similar eye issue and wear the same primers. It worked great over primer, except Night Fever. Night Fever is beautiful foiled and was easy to use that way, so I’m keeping the palette. I don’t think it’s a “must-have” for anyone, though.
I should explain better: There was a concern (from me) that I accidentally got sent an older Lemonade Palette, or that mine had been pressed a little too hard, hence the replacement if the company can’t help me figure out the issue.
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Favourite look you worn: For most of this week I have been wearing plum/bugundy hues, so that has meant that I have used my Maybelleine Burgundy Bar for most of this week. I have paired it with a variety of berry lipsticks: EA Cranberry, a Milani Berry Statement lipstick and MAC Fresh Moroccan.
Generally I have used one of the lighter shades (a champagne shade or a vanilla shade) on the whole lid, with the dark plum shade on the lower lid and a little bit of the taupe in the crease.
Most used product of the week: Maybelline Burgundy Bar!
Any new beauty discoveries: Nope, not this week.
My skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, L’Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion C3 Creamy Natural, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, possibly Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 2), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde and blue strands.
Favorite look you worn: yesterday-UD All Nighter 2.5 foundation, Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin 10 Ivory concealer, CoverGirl Clean Normal Skin 120 Creamy Natural powder, NARS Satellite of Love highlighting blush, UD Slowburn* on lid, Sephora Vampire Lovers on crease/lashlines/outer corner, Kat Von D Egypt on browbone, Revlon Super Lustrous Wine with Everything Pearl lipstick
Most used product of the week: Other than my base products, probably the Louboutin Rouge Louboutin
Any new beauty discoveries: I can do a red smoky eye! (see Favorite look above)
*Standard UD Electric disclaimer: Slowburn/Savage/Jilted/Urban contain a red pigment deemed safe in Europe but untested in the US, they shouldn’t be used to tightline eyes, and people with sensitive eyes shouldn’t use them on the eye area at all
Skintone / coloring : light, MAC NC 15 – 20, med brown hair and eyes
Favorite look worn : Persona Identity Palette. Humble and Charming in the crease. Bombshell on eyelid. Rimmel Soft Kohl Pencil in Brown on upper lashline. MUFE Excessive Lash Mascara. Clinique Pink Honey Pop blush. Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer. Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter in Blossom Glow. Almay Goddess Gloss in Halo
Most used product : Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer, MUFE Excessive Lash Mascara, Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter in Blossom Glow
New beauty discoveries : I finally got around to trying the Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighter in Blossom Glow. It’s very pretty
