We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when
a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set
expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up
being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!
Ooh.. this is one where I’m definitely going to have to check out what dupes are available. The colours look very nice (for the most part), but I’m really trying not to buy repeats of things I already have in my collection.
Wow! I’m quite impressed! First off, I love compact size. Secondly, every single shade looks very usable and wearable. Third, last week’s question about a favorite travel palette? This might be the one, provided it reviews well!
Gail
I’d like to see some pretty greys, blue-greys and silverish shades. Kinda tired of red, reddish orange. Beautiful but getting weary…

Second that. Third it and fourth it, too.
Alexandra O
Same! I can’t wear warm tones on my eyes at all 🙁
Susan Nevling
I will probably have to buy this. The swatches look decent too. Love the colors.
I know! It seems to be a safe color I suppose. I think I can shop my stash of UD palettes and singles for dupes. I do like the palette, but it would be redundant for me to have this as well.

So glad the swatches aren’t very strong, another bites the dust for me and my wallet is happy!

A versatile palette. Almost all swatches look good to very good. Hope it reviews well.
I am eyeing this as a possible one palette to take to Europe in the fall. Swatches look mostly good to great and likely those that are a little lackluster will be helped with primer which I always use anyway. It has a light enough brow bone shade for me and good transition shades with enough depth to darken the outer V. Also enough variety so that I don’t get bored. Depending on reviews it is likely a contender!!

Had a dreadful day at both jobs, and with this, all I can hear is Cheap Trick, I Want You To Want Me. Somebody please brain me with a Kimberly Clark anti-haul video. Hopefully, it’s DTD (duped to death.)
The swatches look really promising. I’ve really enjoyed the look of palettes that are colorful, but a little muted. They seem more wearable and a little less scary to dip into, even for me, who loves color!
I am eager to see the dupe list for this. Some of the swatches are underwhelming while a couple stand out to me like Drift, Smog, and Accelerate. I’m glad it’s going to be permanent though! I’m getting tired of everything being “limited edition” these days and all the hype that comes with that.
Andree
Smog, you are the reason why I don’t want this palette…. seriously it’s a nice shade but I have way too much palette with you in it. Come on UD.
Ingrid
First impression: ABH Modern Renaissance got married with someone, probably Viseart.
Nicole
LOL. Mod Ren and Huda Desert Dusk tied the knot. Yup yup! (Pretty palette but I have both the others so I’m good!)
Anne
Same old. Same old. I count 12 shades of bronze, gold and orange. This is no longer a trend; it’s a rut! Just my opinion.
I just feel disappointed when I see yet another new Modern Renaissance-esque palette. And is that the same Riff that I own as a single shadow? I really don’t like when new palettes use old shades.
(As a side note, “Born to Run” seems like a funny choice of a name for eye makeup. At least it’s not mascara or eyeliner!)
For me, this is one of those I don’t hate it but I don’t want it palettes. The colors are pretty and I can see the many looks that can be created with it, I’m just not moved to purchase it.
Exactly what I thought! I do not have those so… I might be interested in buying this. (It would be my first large palette).
Jimena
I always travel with a neutral pallet and a bright colours pallet so this will be perfect and I will just need one 😀
Rachel
I knew I would love this!

For me, an ‘all in one’ palette has to have a mix of warm and cool natural shades. This palette would be great if you only want looks that are grounded in warm tones, but it’s too limited for me.
Holly Miller
I use most of these types of shades. I love that it’s all in one palette. But I have many of them in my collection already. If only I had waited before buying singles.
Liz
Looks very pretty on. And this looks like great colors for eyes of all colors. Even more amazing for green and blue. Have to see in person, though. They look pretty pigmented, but to make sure they’re not like that Nars Wanted palette that swatched strong, but didn’t have enough pigment on. They look really nice on from what I can see.
Katinka
Punk is a great liner shade – I use it all the time from the Gwen Stefani palette. I have it as a single but I prefer it in the palette (it’s a touch plummier there).
Emily
Hey, Christine, do you know (since you apparently spoke to a UD rep?) if these shades will be or might be added to the singles lineup in the future? If I could split this palette in two, I’d leave out the Modern Ren dupes (all the warm bronzes, browns, reds, and oranges) and keep the bottom half (starting with Smog… but swap out Wildheart for Guilt Trip and add Good as Gone and add Breakaway or Weekender to make the full half). If wishes were horses…
The three I’m really hoping to see as singles are the last 3. Drift looks like a dupe for thePat McGrath shade Divine Mink which I wanted as a standalone, too!
It’s unlikely – UD doesn’t add many singles to their permanent range! When they do, it’s hard to predict if or what they might take from a palette and make a single.
Emily
The basis for my question was the release of Thunderbird and a few others from a limited edition collection not so long ago. I was hoping they’d finally realized some of the LE shades could be a great addition *every time*, not just every decade or so!
Maria
I love UD and colorful eyeshadow, but I am honestly uninspired by this palette!
I think I am going to buy the Beached one.
Holly Miller
I love the look of this palette. I just realized it is one of the few palettes that I would wear every shade in it. It looks like I custom curated it for myself.
It looks great! I just ordered it and can’t wait to get it.
Caroline
lol this is almost the exact same color scheme as Vice 3

Anyone know when it will come to Macy’s

LOL!

Seeing this swatched is reminding me of Sleeks Arabian Nights palette, so maybe I don’t need this like I thought I did….

Very pretty with a good range of shades that I like.
Several of the mattes look weak. And I’m sure I have most of these colors already. Nice color selection and decent price.

This palette looks like ABH modern renaissance and the ABH mario palette rolled into one. Very pretty but easily duped for me. This is a pass.
Exactly what I thought! I do not have those so… I might be interested in buying this. (It would be my first large palette).
