Warm Gold (20)

Chanel Warm Gold (20) Highlighting Powder ($58.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a medium, peachy gold with warm undertones and a soft, golden pearl shimmer. It had good pigmentation with a luminous sheen that was moderate–definitely not a subtle glow, but it wasn’t metallic, foil-like, or sparkly. The texture was smooth, finely-milled, and easy to work with on the cheeks, as it blended out with little effort, though the surface of the powder had a denser, firmer feel (but it wasn’t stiff!). It wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Chanel described the powder as having a “sheer, radiant finish,” and I’d expect “sheer” to indicate more of a veil of radiance–it is not the clearest description. There are noticeable sparkles/micro-glitters in both shades released, so I would consider it suitable for someone who likes sparkle and more intense highlighters. The powders applied, blended, and lasted well on my skin.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! This shade is really cute though I must admit, I don’t think of Chanel when I think about highlighters. I recently purchased the Signe du Lion, so I might now with this purchase. I tend to reach for Tom Ford or Bobbi Brown or Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson, listed as a dupe and one if my all-time fave highlighters.

PPSS – I tried using your link to Nordstrom for this, first it did not take me directly to a Chanel highlighting powder, and when I searched there were 3 different colors of but none said Warm Gold or #20 – maybe they don’t have it yet?

I couldn’t find it in Sephora either. If anyone knows which name in Nordstrom is the 20 Warm Gold equivalent please let me know. Thanks!
