Milani Luster Light Hypnotic Lights Powder Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
Luster Light
Milani Luster Light Hypnotic Lights Powder Highlighter ($12.99 for 0.30 oz.) is a soft beige with a subtle, pink-to-peach shift and satin finish. The key with this highlighter is subtle; this is one for those who have longed for a shift but without a metallic sheen. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, but it could easily be applied with a lighter hand for sheerer coverage if desired. The powder was soft, smooth, and blendable without being too firmly or too loosely pressed in the pan, so it was easy to apply and blend out on my cheeks. Despite having less shimmer, it was still glowing on the skin and never looked powdery or too flat/dry. On me, it wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$12.99/0.3 oz. - $43.30 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "silky-smooth" and have a "subtle, iridescent glow." Subtle is right on the money; they have an ethereal glow that's there but not blaring, and there's really a sea of intense, metallic highlighters on the market, so seeing something on the subtle end of the spectrum was refreshing. The powders had a soft, smooth, slightly dense consistency, but they did not feel stiff nor were they difficult to pickup with a brush. They blended out easily on the skin, sat well, and yielded a lit-from-within kind of glow. On me, they lasted for eight hours.

Subtle, but once I enlarged the full face look photo, I really was able to see the glow and shift! This would make for a great highlight to use for work and any other more conservative venues or low-key days. Plus, far less $’s than the one I fell in love with yesterday. Now to decide!
It’s great to see a DS brand bring out a product that is an A. Have you seen Milani’s new eyeshadow palette?
Sorry, I don’t have it!
They are putting out every kind a highlighter out like lightning! I see moving away from the unicorn style to more of a lilac. I think more chrome eyeshadows will be on the run.
That looks like a perfect highlighter for me. Thanks for the review!
Wow Christine! This look is so Angelic, you can pull off so many looks and colors☺️
I knew that you were wearing the New NARS embresse moi too! Before I read the details ?? I usually don’t buy any drugstore but I may have to get this! ?
It looks so pretty, gentle and natural for pale ladies like myself. Milani makes some great products I love their baked blushes and the highliters they had with those teeny roses designs are very natural looking. ??
What a beautiful color and a reasonable price point! Thanks for the review!
Oh this is really nice. I hope they have a deeper shade or two, it looks perfect for those no makeup days.
Gosh these are really great! I’m sold. Next time I need a highlighter, I’ll probably look into these. They seem forgiving even in daylight!
hi there
do you know if these will be launched at the drugstores?
Sorry, Milani doesn’t provide me any press info!
