Sneak Peek: Cover FX Glitter Drops & Shimmer Veils Photos & Swatches
Cover FX Glitter Drops ($44.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is a new variation on the brand’s famous liquid highlighter formula but with “multidimensional glitter.” The Glitter Drops are supposed to have “customiable” coverage and can be used “alone, under, or over makeup” on “the face and body.” There are three shades available, which are swatched below.
Cover FX Shimmer Veils ($28.00 for 0.14 fl. oz.) is a new formula that can be used on the “eyes, lips, and beyond,” though it seems to be marketed first as a liquid eyeshadow. The formula is supposed to be “crease-proof” with “customizable” coverage. There are six shades available, which are swatched below.
While their highlighters are divine these look like a big “meh” to me.
Wish they would halve the product and price on the Glitter Drops. As for the Shimmer Veils, I like the WNW version better -cheaper and shimmer seems more multi-dimensional
I like Magic and celestial but have the rose gold and blossom liquid highlighters and honestly donāt use them much. Powder is just easier to control and apply.
The light blue is disappointing.
So, if I want to spend $44 to look green and sickly, I guess I’ll buy Aurora! All 3 of the Glitter Drops look SO different applied than they do in the bottles. And the glitter pieces in them look way too coarse in the swatches.
I just love these drops. I often add them to my foundations.
Hmmm, I don’t know about these. The Amethyst one could be be a fun one, I suppose.
It’s strange how different the glitter drops look from bottle to swatch. Like the blue looks gold, the pink looks green, the other actually looks the same. I saw them swatched on the shoulders/arms like a body highlight and they looked nice, at least on camera under heavy lights, but I can’t see myself using these, they don’t appear to be as intense as I’d like for a glitter and too glittery for what I like in any kind of highlight.
I was worried about that as well. Glitter needs a good primer to get the most impact on the eyes as well.
Shimmer Veils actually look promising for those that don’t want to shell out the $50+CAN on a full-size bottle of liquid highlighter for the normal none industry consumer.
I’m looking for something sparkly that won’t spend the day falling off my eyes onto the rest of my face. I’ll have to check these out.
Iām so excited for your review of these Christine!!I have been holding off the urge to purchase all of these until I see your opinion?I have all the original shades of the Custom Enhancer Drops Highlighters and I just purchased the Bronzer in Sunset because I used up all of the Bronzer in Sunkissed. It was that good!
