Kevyn Aucoin ElectroPop Pro Eyeshadow Palette ($57.00 for 0.60 oz.) is a slim palette that has 12 eyeshadows–only one of them, Blackout, isn’t overtly shimmery–and the formula used is very, very dense and more like a cream-powder hybrid, so it will work best with stiffer, denser brushes and fingertips (the brand actually says to use fingertips for “maximum” pigmentation). Here’s a sneak peek at swatches…

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Have never though Kevyn’s e/s were a strong suit…but these swatches, at least the thumbnails, look improved. Interesting that so many are into formula change, and often in the direction of creamier, less powdery, more hybrid. I think it’s the CP effect!

Do we know when this palette will be released? I regret not getting it on Cyber Monday when they did the sneak preview – but now I want to know when I can get my hands on it!

I agree with you about the new formulas looking better applied than swatched. I’m so glad to see all the newer, better formulas from companies. I think it’s going to take awhile before they get it all sorted out from the prototype to the manufactured product, but I applaud the effort. I have no tolerance anymore for dry, gritty, lifeless powder formulas. Give me creamy, smooth, finely milled, beautifully pigmented colors at a reasonable price (cough), lol.

Perfect timing as always, Christine! I was considering picking this up with the Sephora sale after seeing someone else’s apparently super-heavy swatches, but after seeing these, I’ll pass!

i feel like these high end brands are putting out mediocre stuff lately. good for me tho, i am not tempted. Colourpop has stepped it up too, so more bang for my buck. I have been collecting makeup so long now that i never buy anything just because of the brand anymore. I used to get caught in the hype about chanel that or Armani this. After having such a wonderful collection of high end good items, i am so picky. At all times i have to be buying some makeup tho, so Colourpop has filled in there for me. There shadows lately have been just as good as these generic looking high end palettes

Late to the party, but since I was into the brands products today and came across this I wondered how you rated it. Sad to see it’s only a B-, I really liked the colors here (two nice greens), but that purple swatched so sadly and glitter-like. Hmmmm… I do like some Aucoin products though.
