I love Nars Cruella, I also really enjoy the colors from the GSxUD collab. Bite Gazpacho or Sour Cherry and Smashbox Be Legendary Be Legendary are favorites as well.
HA! Another fan of the Legendary shade of Be Legendary (they really shouldn’t have used that name – it confuses people) – I don’t like the matte formula all that much, but the creamy formula is lovely and I’ve got 3 tubes of Legendary (thought one is a mini and I did end up giving it to my daughter).
My favorite is MAC Russian Red, but I want to put in an honorable mention for Colourpop London Fog.
BITE Sour Cherry is my current fave. But I will be checking out others suggested here!
Christine, a question about the Recommendations in general – is there a way for us to be able to tell if we’ve already voted on/recommended a product? Because there are some overlaps (Best Every Day Blush/Best Pink Blush), I’ve ended up getting that “you’ve already recommended this” message and I’m wondering if there’s a way – short of us just remembering – to be able to see if we’ve already recommended something.

You can definitely recommend the same product once for each recommendation (e.g. the same shade for Everyday Blush and the same shade for Pink Blush). When I checked the votes, I saw your recs and saw two shades appear for both of those topics. I did test this myself and was able to successfully recommend the same shade for two different topics/recommendations.
We are working on having a place for all your recommendations – Phase 2 🙂 We split some of the more refined parts of makeup recommendations feature to phase 2 so that if it turned out that the whole thing was something that nobody cared about, we wouldn’t put in 3 months of work into it. Since it seems to be going over well, we have been working on phase 2 right away!

No – thank YOU! It’s a really nice feature for several reasons, including making me consider the products I have in my stash and I’m sure it’s similar for others. Example – the “best green eyeshadow” recs made me fish out both Steamy and Snakeskin dress, both shadows I really love but which I’d not used in some time.
Oh, awesome!! I had hoped that maybe it would work that way – you could rediscover something in your stash or try a product again when you were like “this is okay” (but still have).
Not as popular as Dragon Girl, I’m wearing NARS matte pencil Famous Red a great deal. It is described on big S as a bright pink coral, but it doesn’t read pink on me at all; more like a very well balanced bright red.
My bad.. too many pencils.. I meant Mysterious Red. It’s very balanced between cool and warm. Famous Red is definitely more pink coral.

I can’t make a recommendation but I would love a recommendation for a TRUE red in a satin or something with slight sparkle or shimmer. No matte!!! Think of a bright red sequined gown or Dorothy’s ruby slippers. RED RED. Everything I try has an orange component to it and it ends up in the garbage. I love a deep ruby red for evening and I have yet to find it. I see pictures of it online but they never seem to say which shade it is. Maybe they mix a few shades but I would love to find the perfect red.
