My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool
Most loved product of the week: nothing really stands out – maybe MAC Rosy Cheeks blush
Most used product of the week: sadly (or maybe not) it’s still Josie Maran’s thick oil
Any new beauty discoveries? I picked up The Estee Edit Radiance Activator Treat + Prep +Glow and I love it as a primer or all on its own – more and more, except for IT CC Cream because of its high SPF, I’ve been eschewing foundations or anything much on my face except for sunscreen and a product like this one. (as an aside, could we also put “beauty RE-discoveries” in this section? Not everyone buys new stuff ever single week and even if they do, it might not include anything either good enough or exciting enough to put in this section. BUT I’m sure many here, because so many of us have a lot of makeup and skin care, often find things in our stash that we’ve set aside long enough for them to be a revelation if/when we rediscover how great they are. Would it be breaking the rules to post about them here?)
I think that’s a great idea, just call it a rediscovery?
Tbh that’s kind of how I answer this final question. I don’t always include a new product I’ve bought, though I admit I buy way too much way too often. I usually put new discoveries of my already too large stash:) Or maybe a new technique or a new combinations I’ve found that I like 🙂
Skin tone: Very fair with cool undertones, NW 5-10
Most loved product of the week: Ciate Glow to Illuminate Blush in Summer Love. I am slowly going to buy a new one until I have them all. Love them so much.
Most used product of the week: Chanel Vitalumiere Velvet Foundation in 10 Ivory but I am going to check out 20 Clair as it looks a little bit cooler toned.
New beauty discoveries: Not really much of anything. I haven’t been shopping or going anywhere since we are leaving on vacation tomorrow. I am sure I will buy some new things on the road.
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Most loved product of the week: MAC Oh My, Passion! Pearlmatte Face Powder; Sauce Box Mermaid Life Palette
Most used product of the week: MAC Oh My, Passion! Pearlmatte Face Powder; BH Cosmetics Club Tropicana Palette; Sauce Box Mermaid Life Palette
Any new beauty discoveries?: MAC Oh My, Passion! Pearlmatte Face Powder
Most loved products of the week were fragrances: Flowerbomb, La Vie est Belle, and Lipstick On.
Most used: Sephora sleeping mask in Pomegranate. I like it, but I like the Green Tea better for my own skin.
New discovery: Sephora charcoal cleansing wipes. Unusual packaging, but it works. 25 cloths to a package. One side of the cloth cleans, the other side exfoliates. No need to rinse. I did apply a sleeping mask after cleansing. Having used the charcoal wipes now, I do like them, and plan to use them occasionally, maybe 1-3 times per month? I think they would be fantastic for young, oily, blemished skintypes, but useful for other skintypes for occasional use. However very sensitive skin might find the exfoliating side of the charcoal wipes to be too rough for them. There was so much juice on the cloth, I used the rest of the cloth for exfoliating elbows after doing my face.
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
Most loved product of the week: That’s toss up between my Dior 3 Couleurs in Khaki, Naked 1 and Derailed from Vice 2.
Most used product of the week: Milani’s Candied Toffee lipstick – it works with all of my autumnal/winter eye looks and is so comfortable to wear.
Any new beauty discoveries?: Not really, as I am just shopping my stash – both skincare and makep seeing as I have so much.
Skin tone/colouring: fair, cool, pink undertones with significant rosacea over the nose and milder rosacea over the chin.
Most loved product: Kat von D’s Lock-it foundation in light 44, it may be my holy grail full coverage foundation.
Most used product: Benefit’s Porefessional Face Primer
New discoveries: Australis Matte Out Mattifying Face Base. I have an oily T-zone and this is highly effective at an extremely good price.
Skintone / coloring : light, NC 20, med brown hair and eyes
Most loved : MAC Selena Amor Prohibido Lipstick. Loreal Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Makeup Blender. Milani Bella Gel Eyeshadow in Bella Ivory. Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer
Most used : Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation. MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara. ABH Brow Wiz. Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer. MAC Teddy Eyeliner. Loreal Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Makeup Blender. Milani Bella Gel Eyeshadow in Bella Ivory. MAC Selena Amor Prohibido Lipstick.
New Beauty Discoveries : MAC Prep + Prime lip balm. I have never bought this before. Promised myself I wouldn’t until it showed up in my nearby CCO. Finally it did and I bought one. I’ll have to see if it compares to the one I used up from Rimmel with the Kate Moss collection
My skin tone/coloring: fair & warm, hazel eyes, haircolor+ pale gold
Any new beauty discoveries?: Gosh Cosmetics of Denmark! I’d never heard of this brand but my husband bought me a huge assortment of Gosh products for my birthday! The reviews I’ve read online aren’t very favorable of this brand and I don’t understand why. For a drugstore/high street brand I’m quite impressed with the quality, colors, performance & packaging. Maybe they were crap in the past but recently have upped their game as have so many drugstore brands?
Most loved product of the week: Gosh 005 To Party in London (9 metallic eyeshadows): Gorgeous, pigmented, blendable, a little dusty but overall easy to work with & don’t go muddy. My only complaint is why put 2 metallic browns in a 9 shadow accent palette? Why not an olive green, an aqua blue, or even a hot pink/burgundy?
Most used product of the week: Gosh Smokey Nudes Eyeshadow Palette 002- a 10 pan palette featuring 5 mattes and 5 satin shimmers. Apparently there’s an 001 palette that’s a bit cool with a navy, purples, & grays but I have the 002 which is a bit more neutral with cool and warm browns, a matte charcoal, a gold, a champagne, and a steely shimmer. The only place online I can find the 002 palette I have is an Ebay listing in Bulgaria in 2016. It’s a nice quality palette for the price & I’m having lots of fun with it practicing my metallic smoky eye for Fall.
Light medium to medium with coolish undertones/dark blond hair and blue eyes.
Most loved product is probably the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. It has been so hot and this tinted moisturizer feels good on my skin and stands up to the heat (mostly- at least better than anything else I’ve tried!)
Most Used product has been a group of oldies I rediscovered when going through my single eyeshadows. I found 5 pots of the older Flower Beauty cream eyeshadows. Not the new formula, which I found dried up in the containers within 2 months of opening, but the older ones that are so like the Butter London Eye Gloss, Glazen? They feel cooling going on my lid but then dry down and do not budge. Lovely colors too!
New beauty discovery- I was finally able to swatch the UD Naked Heat and found that between the Morphe 35OM and 35OS I almost assuredly have dupes for every shade in the palette. In addition the Morphe offers brow shades and a multitude of mattes that look better on my skin tone. I discovered I did not need to buy the Naked Heat, lol!
