I recently picked up Kat Von D’s “Celebutard” lipstick. A nice pale-pink, cool toned nude. Love it!
I love this, too! It’s gorgeous by itself, and I also love it with Innocence, Beware! from MAC layered on top. Celebutard is one of my HG nude lipsticks 🙂
Hey… I was just wondering if you have a dupe for celebutard? It’s my favorite but only have a mini of it… It’s in the new 54 dollar but not sure if I want the whole set.

Not properly a nude but my favorite is MAC “Fresh Brew”. Creme D’Nude looks good but I’m not fond of the finish. If only it was a Lustre… I think nudes work better when they’re sheer.
I’d still say Fresh Brew is a nude, shade 😉 The problem with “nude” is it’s really… nude based on the person. Fresh Brew is probably more likely a brown, but isn’t nude really just variations on brown anyway? Pfft, silly makeup and all of it’s crazy classifications!

I really like velvet teddy by MAC. I might have to go out and buy it since I have been on a nude lip look lately. Plus, it goes w/ most eyeshadow looks, which is great! I don’t like a lot of lip color anyway, so this post is great! So far, I have been wearing Urban decay’s Jailbait. It’s a pretty good one; I layer a clear gloss over it and line my lips w/ vicki’s secret nude pencil.
are cool-toned nude lipsticks easier to use if you’re super pale? I’ve got a couple of nude lipsticks, one is very beige and looks really nasty on me, so maybe cool pinks are better? I’m NC15 with pretty pigmented lips
Sometimes, but it’s generally more to do with your undertones – rosier (cooler) nudes tend to look better on those with pink undertones, while beige/peach nudes tend to look better on those with yellow undertones.
My Fav is MAC Whoo me! it’s soft yet has that little hint of pink hue to it 🙂

I thought creme d nude was warm? It was way orange on me.
Creme d’Nude is a pale white-nude with slight pink undertones on me, not orange at all.

Thanks so much for posting this! I’d love to see more “cool” themed makeup posts. I am always unsure which colors will look best with my cool skin tone. Reading your blog is a HUGE help.
Little Darling is the only cool toned nude here against my NW10 skin, haha. Cream D’Nude and the Guerlain are especially peach toned. Velvet Teddy is a medium brown toned color on me. Nice to see more lip swatches. 🙂

They can – it totally depends on what you wear it with and how warm/how cool you are and the lipstick is!

The only cool nude lipstick I’ve found is called Mac “Myself” from the All Races collection. And Mac Test Pattern lip liner and NYX Pale Pink lip liner. Have you seen those products, Christine? Creme D’Nude and the Guerlain and Korres are pretty warm on me, unfortunately. Can’t do peachy tones. 🙁

I love creme d’nude. Its definitely my favourite lipstick over all actually. It has such a great colour, you’re wearing lipstick, yet its not overpowering. And I love the finish

Bobbi Browns Creamy Lipcolor in Baby is my HG nude lipstick for my cool toned fair skin! LOVE it!
I just had to add the Viva Glam Gaga 2 to this list. I know it is not cool toned in itself -it’s described as “light neutral beige”. But I am cool toned and have NEVER had a nude lipstick do anything but turn orange on me and I have tried everything (even Hug Me, which is the one always recommended to me). Gaga 2 is perfect as a fleshy nude on me and with a little Love Nectar Lustreglass over the top is nice and sheer. I had to share!! Also, thank you so much, this site has been a lifesaver!!!
