Tom Ford Ravish Cheek Color (2017) Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Ravish
Tom Ford Ravish Cheek Color ($60.00 for 0.28 oz.) is deep, reddish copper with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The original version was a bit lighter, more pink than copper, and definitely more shimmery (see comparison here). The texture was soft, finely-milled, and a little thin, though I had no trouble applying or blending out the color on my cheeks. It had rich color payoff, which was not true to the claim of buildable, but with a lighter hand and less dense blush (something like a fan or highlighter brush), sheerer coverage was certainly possible. The color stayed true for nine and a half hours on me.
For 2017, Tom Ford reformulated this powder blush formula, and the new formula is described as “layers of possibility, from a sexy glow to a more dramatic, color-rich look” (that sounds like “buildable”) that is supposed to apply “with the comfort of a cream.” Overall, the texture is thinner, finely-milled but drier than the original formula, and the shimmer has become finer and less apparent through many of the new-old shades. The formula was still fairly blendable to very blendable and particularly long-wearing with semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation.

Ahhh this one bums me out!! I’ve had my eye on the original ravish for aaages, but now it’s a completely different color! plus I liked it’s previous shimmer level, at least for this shade. whyy tf? but thanks for the comparison!
No problem, Jonirae!
I wished I could justify TF prices but there seems to be so many dupes already in the market! I’m glad to hear the quality is quite up there though!
Thank goodness there are so many dupes 🙂
This one is very pretty. I noticed his blushes are highly pigmented and you just need very little product and a lot of blending.
Some shades blend really easily but a couple can be more challenging!
I wish he made smaller sizes for less money because I never hit pan on most of my makeup and I would prefer smaller sizes for less money.
That would be awesome!
It’s not *bad* perse, but yet again the original looks to be better quality with a nicer glow to it. Being that I do own Taraji Glow and Highlight the Truth, I can mix those together and get something fairly close, I think.
A combo of those two should be close enough – possibly a little more shimmery 🙂
