MAC Yum Yum Yum Magic Dust Powder
MAC Yum Yum Yum Magic Dust Powder ($28.00 for 0.29 oz.) is a medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and gold sparkle over a satin finish. ColourPop Prenup (P, $8.00) is less shimmery, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Lollipop (LE, ) is brighter (90% similar). Sleek MakeUP Icing Sugar (PiP, $6.99) is warmer (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Love is the Drug (P, $40.00) is more shimmery, darker, warmer (90% similar). Black Opal Nectar (P, $8.95) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Dame (P, $24.00) is darker, more muted, cooler (90% similar). MAC Divine Desire (LE, $24.00) is more shimmery, darker, brighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
It’s interesting how poorly this performed compared to Sweet Vision! The powder was much drier, looser, and had a chunkier consistency overall that made it difficult to use. The pigmentation was weaker with semi-sheer coverage at best, and it did not want to adhere evenly to skin as it was just so, so dry. If you used liquid or cream foundation and applied it while the base was still drying down, you could get better coverage, but it would still be difficult to blend. It seemed to wear about seven hours on me, but it already looked faded from the beginning, so it wasn’t as easy to tell!

Oh dear, this is terrible. I don’t want to work that hard to make a blush work, no matter how pretty it is in the pan. Your eye look is stunning.
Thanks, Deborah!
I hear ya! It fell SO so short.
Wow, I wasn’t too impressed by the initial swatch, but it even worse than I thought. Well, I was already planning to get Sweet Visions, at least I won’t be tempted by this one
This one was SO disappointing!
Rats! This is the one I wanted to like!
This year is all about warm colors, apparently…
Sad times 🙁
How disappointing! The compact itself is so cute- it looks almost like something you would see in Sailor Moon. lol
I know! 🙁
Yikes…
🙁
Yikes, this one sure is awful! Almost nothing left once blended out. Like it just went; *poof* be gone! Easy pass.
Exactly!
Wtf? MAC either needs to way up R&D spending and time on holiday releases or just chill on them altogether. No excuse for something like this to hit the market, especially for LE markup pricing.
Sooo weird how one was nice, one was a miss! The texture difference alone is crazy.
Right? How does that happen? I’d love to look at the process/choices made that lead to two such noticeably different textures where one fails to perform.
How how disappointing, especially after just reading your Sweet Vision review.
I briefly entertained the idea of getting this (I need another blush in this colour family – which happens to be my favourite about as much as I need another eyeshadow like Inglot 419 (or Eureka, Snakeskin Dress, Sumptuous Olive….you get the picture) but seeing that D for dreadful rating, I am cured!
Oh, no! Money saved, I guess. 🙁
Interesting how this is so bad, and the other so good. I can’t even begin to figure out how it can happen, and if it happens (and it did) why do they release the bad product, why not just have one blush and hide the failiure deep in the MAC basement of bad products, I’m sure they must have one.
Well not need to covet a dud like this. 😉 Same me some money…. But this is a sad new formula. 🙁
Just yikes! The quality control is out of control. If you cant get it right, why release it? This is what frustrates me.
