Rose Quartz

Jouer Rose Quartz Powder Highlighter ($24.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a light pink with warm undertones and a golden, metallic sheen. It’s the type of highlighter that imparts a touch of color on my skin tone but is mostly a highlighter–on fairer complexions, it might be a subtle blush as well.

According to the brand, it’s supposed to be a “creamy, powder formula” that is “long-wearing, highly pigmented” and gives a “lit-from-within glow.” It had very nearly opaque color coverage that applied evenly and smoothly to the skin; it was so finely-milled that it seemed to blend as I applied it, so it was nearly effortless to apply. The consistency was smooth, soft, not too firm or too loose in the pan, and sat well on the skin. I was surprised at how much reflective shine it had without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading.

Formula Overview

$24.00/0.16 oz. - $150.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "long-wearing, highly pigmented" and have a "radiant finish." They are semi-opaque to opaque typically with a denser, creamier consistency that doesn't have any powderiness or dustiness to it. The powders apply well to bare skin, blended out easily, and tend to have a stronger, metallic sheen--definitely a more intense highlighter. They lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

Oh nice! I’ve heard great things about Jouer highlighters, but never pulled the trigger as I couldn’t swatch in store, and there weren’t that many reviews/swatches, and the market is so flooded with great options. So glad you are reviewing these! I already have MAC Beaming Blush on order, but missed out on Becca Rose Quartz, not sure if I need this one as well. But do you have other colors too?

The only negative I’ve heard about the Jouer highlighters are that they break super easily. I’ve seen a number of YT’ers complaint theirs have broken during regular use (i.e. Not in travel). I would have to assume the fine milled, soft texture Christine describes makes it very fragile. At the very least, I would my travel with these.

I’ve thought about buying these, but they are ALWAYS sold out, along with pretty much everything else I’ve wanted to buy from Jouer. It’s very annoying. I saw they came back in stock once, and by the time I went to the website they were sold out again. That is frustrating. It’s a lovely color, and looks great on you, but I can’t say I’m gong to keep trying to purchase.

I used to favor gold/warm-toned highlighters but I’ve been really into pink/peach highlighters in the past year. This one looks like it’s right up my alley!

PS: Your hair looks gorgeous in the full face picture. <3
