Round-up: Bite Beauty Mulisticks Overview
Bite Beauty Mulisticks
Bite Beauty Multistick ($24.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a cream formula that can be worn on eyes, lips, and face, and it is supposed to be “blendable, breathable, and buildable” with a “soft focus finish.” In general, it has a more cream-like feel than powder-like, even after it “dries.” The consistency is medium in thickness–more noticeably thick when used on the lips, as it is quite dense–and is quite blendable across the majority of shades. They don’t have a true cream-to-powder dry down, as the Bite formula does not dry down completely. I did notice that the exposed portion of the bullet itself (like the flat top) gets drier and firmer after each use as if it dries out a bit on the exterior, but a light swipe on the skin reveals a much creamier interior. When I’ve used it directly from the tube on the lips, I can sense that “35% powder” part of the formula as well. I really liked the formula as a cream blush, as it was blendable, buildable, and long-wearing. As a lip product, it was decent to good (the performance depended largely on the shade), and as an eye product, it was a total miss for me due to poor wear.
In general, if you’re someone who really wanted to try it as a cream eyeshadow, I’d definitely try one shade and see how it went. There are some readers who have managed better wear out of them as a cream eyeshadow, though there are others who have had similar issues with instant creasing as me. If you’re someone who wanted to use them more as a cream blush, I think they’re well-worth checking out, because they’ve been particularly lovely as cheek colors with a great finish and long wear. I like them as lipsticks, but I think you would do better with traditional lipstick (including Bite’s own Amuse Bouche) if you’d mostly wear it as a lip color.

Biscotti, Brioche, Mascarpone ?
Yay!
I’m eyeing Nectar for next Sephora sale because it’s a purple. And Honeywheat is an interesting one, I could look really nice, or I could look horrid, like I need a new liver.
Nectar will be beautiful on you 😉
Some of these performed better than I anticipated, but I’m still not super enthralled with the multi-stick trend overall. It’s a great idea, but it currently still seems like a better option to just invest in multiple, separate products.
I hear ya! If these worked on eyes and cheeks, I think that might have made them a more interesting product. There are already tons of lipsticks, and plenty at all price points, to choose from.
When I had a window of opportunity, I did try several of these on in Sephora. Both on lips, and swatched and blended out on the back of my hand to see if or how these would do on me. I really loved the shade of Mochi, but knew I’d be getting MAC x Selena Como La Flor lipstick and have Clinique Cola Pop for my red blush of choice. However, I also loved Marscapone and Almond!
These are permanent, so maybe come spring or summer, you can revisit some!
Gotta get another, before my opinion is fully formed, but I would prefer to wear their lips to this, on lips. Gelato, which is greige on me (but not Christine’s tube) gets a bit eaten on my cheeks, but initially it’s fab. By x mas, as will have > 30 bite lips across the formulas. These don’t have that je ne sais quoi that the lips do. Multis don’t thrill me, though being my age, love the matchy/matchy aspect; the monochromatic greige is my new go-to.
Do keep us posted on how you fare with another shade!
I bought Lotus and it works perfectly on my eyes! I apply to bare skin (no eye cream on the lid) with a finger and blend and it doesn’t crease at all. It’s a huge surprise after Christine’s experience: I was pleasantly stunned. 🙂 I use it for eye and cheek but go with something a few shades darker for the lips (Bite matte crayon in Pastille works well).
I’m so jealous, Lauren!
I have yet to decide on how I feel about these for my own use, but overall I like the concept. I’m going to have swatch them some day!
Hope you can swatch sometime, Erin!
