Round-up: Marc Jacobs Air Blush
Marc Jacobs Air Blush
Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush ($42.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a real winner across the board. I think it actually comes pretty close to living up to its 24-hour claim, which I was completely surprised by. I wore three of the five shades twice to test wear, because the length of wear and strength of wear caught me off guard. The formula also lives up to its buildable coverage and color claims, as each shade can be lighter or darker, depending on whether you lean to the left or right of the compact or just swirl altogether. The pigmentation is solidly medium and buildable, but the silky, smooth texture makes it forgiving and easy to sheer out or build-up without it looking powdery or caked on the skin. Boy, these are like night and day compared to the brand’s original blush range.

I have to admit, I initially rolled my eyes when I heard the 24 hr claim, and that you could get gradient colors with this pattern, but Marc has delivered ! The problem is that I think I have dupes in my stash , but if he comes out with more unique colors, I will go for it.
Me too, Katherine!! I was super skeptical!
Definitely a surprise winner for an ombree type blush, as most fail badly! I know that I will definitely be getting Night Fever & Hot Stuff combo, as I can see that being a great way to add life to my cheeks!
Can’t wait for you to try the formula, Nancy!
Next rouge sale they are mine. MJ is my all time favorite shadow and blush brand. Not foundation tho. He’s a miss there sadly.
Enjoy ’em!
What do you mean by the last sentence in your review: “Boy, these are like night and day compared to the brand”
i think i might buy 2 of them im a sucker for coral blushes but it fits my complexion so well
Grr! It looks like the post didn’t save when I last updated it — it’s supposed to finish as a comparison to the brand’s original blush range, which I found lackluster!
I’m really digging the colours! I wasn’t too keen about the claims, and it felt like the shades are so dupe-able. I can’t wait to see if the range may be extended to include more unique shades!
Glad you liked it!
I so need Flesh and Fantasy and Lines and Last Night. Both shades are right up my alley!
They’re lovely!
Christine, you asked how I liked the MJ blush. The pigmentation, formulation, and performance are wonderful and I really like the finish. I’m just not sure about the color I chose, Kink & Kisses. My only justification for purchasing any of them was because I wanted to add another blush with a warmer undertone, but K&K might be too… orange… for me. I’m going to give it another try over my regular foundations and setting powder before making a decision.
I’m glad the formula is working for you, at least, but hopefully you can find a more suitable shade for you if Kink & Kisses doesn’t work out for you!
I’ll be found at the MJB counter swatching these as soon as they become available!
Yay 😀
I was able to get my hands on the Night Fever and the Kink and Kisses ones while I was in Chicago over the weekend, they hadn’t even put them out, they just had them in the back, so I felt a little special. I wore Night Fever today and I love it. The wear is amazing.
Right? I can’t get over how well they last!
