Round-up: Marc Jacobs Air Blush

Marc Jacobs Air Blush

Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush ($42.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a real winner across the board. I think it actually comes pretty close to living up to its 24-hour claim, which I was completely surprised by. I wore three of the five shades twice to test wear, because the length of wear and strength of wear caught me off guard. The formula also lives up to its buildable coverage and color claims, as each shade can be lighter or darker, depending on whether you lean to the left or right of the compact or just swirl altogether. The pigmentation is solidly medium and buildable, but the silky, smooth texture makes it forgiving and easy to sheer out or build-up without it looking powdery or caked on the skin. Boy, these are like night and day compared to the brand’s original blush range.

I have to admit, I initially rolled my eyes when I heard the 24 hr claim, and that you could get gradient colors with this pattern, but Marc has delivered ! The problem is that I think I have dupes in my stash , but if he comes out with more unique colors, I will go for it.

Next rouge sale they are mine. MJ is my all time favorite shadow and blush brand. Not foundation tho. He’s a miss there sadly.

What do you mean by the last sentence in your review: “Boy, these are like night and day compared to the brand”

Christine, you asked how I liked the MJ blush. The pigmentation, formulation, and performance are wonderful and I really like the finish. I’m just not sure about the color I chose, Kink & Kisses. My only justification for purchasing any of them was because I wanted to add another blush with a warmer undertone, but K&K might be too… orange… for me. I’m going to give it another try over my regular foundations and setting powder before making a decision.

I was able to get my hands on the Night Fever and the Kink and Kisses ones while I was in Chicago over the weekend, they hadn’t even put them out, they just had them in the back, so I felt a little special. I wore Night Fever today and I love it. The wear is amazing.
