According to the brand, it’s supposed to be a “long-wearing, buildable” highlighter that gives a “natural-looking” glow. It had semi-sheer to mostly opaque coverage–so buildable, as billed–that was easy to apply and build-up without it becoming too intense with respect to the finish. The texture was fairly smooth, soft, and blendable on the skin, but there was a slight dryness present (something common to this type of formula, from my experience) that doesn’t impact the way it looks or wears from what I can tell. It didn’t emphasize pores, though it is a more obvious highlighter, so if you prefer something subtle, I would recommend using a feathery brush and a lighter hand. On me, it wore well for eight hours.

To me, this looked ver Similar to MAC’s WHISPER OF GILT but it seem more yellow on tone in your swatches.. I have Estee Lauder Heat Wave still (which was a dupe for Whisper of Guilt as well) so I think I’m covered.
Whisper of Gilt is definitely similar!
the pattern is mesmerizing! If I owned this I think I would just stare at it instead of using it lol
Luckily, it takes a long time to wear down the pattern!
Lovely. Really liking gold that leans bronze. Looks great on you, Christine.
Thank you, Tracey!
Wow, it’s so pretty! Hmmm, will have to check my stash to see if I have any dupes, but if not, will probably end up on my buy list. I like how it’s a yellow gold, but not too warm, brown, or orange
I look forward to seeing if this ends up in a FFHF sometime!
I love how this looks on you, the finish is just beautiful.
Thank you, Claire!
That would look pretty with bronzer, or applied lightly over blush.
I totally agree, Pam!
It’s very pretty. How big would you say these are? They looked smaller in the preview! Not that I have ever run out of highlighter!
It’s the same size as your typical bronzer – 0.30 oz.
So pretty! Going on my wish list!
Awesome!
Very sunshiney and perfect for this time of year! I like the glow, it’s just the right amount instead of OTT.
However, it’s your eye look that looks abso-freakin-lutely awesome! Something about a matte purple eye look during spring is just so perfect and makes me think of spring flowers!
It’s lovely! 🙂
Gorgeous highlighter. I’m really loving your purple eye look!
It’s a pretty highlighter for sure.
It’s very pretty on you, Christine! Not really my color, though.
Totally get that! I’m glad they have four shades, but I think they could have really rounded out the range with at least one genuinely cool-toned option (maybe a lavender-esque shade).
I’m beginning to resent the way us cooler-toned folks are being left out, or even being told to wear a color that doesn’t look like us in order to ‘warm up the complexion’. I think my skin’s color is fine the way it is, thank you very much!
Oh so purty 🙂
It is!
How does this hold up against Charlotte Tilbury “Bar of Gold”??
Sorry, I don’t have that.
This will be very hard to resist! I wonder how it compares to MAC’s Gold Deposit. I have that one but it is so shimmery!
Good thing it’s permanent! 🙂
A bit too gold for me maybe, swatching would be needed.
Hopefully you can check it out sometime, Erin!
That is so pretty. I don’t use these things on my face, I use them as shiny eye shadows! I always like to have shine on my eyes!
That’s cool!
The highlighter looks nice but your eye look really stole she show! I love the purples. This shade looks far too yellow on my skin tone but it looks fairly natural on yours. Have you looked into picking up those new Lorac highlighters? I’m curious to see how those perform.
Thanks, Zoe!
It’s a very yellowy toned powder and I think it could make anyone with cooler toned complexions look a bit strange. It is very pretty though.
Love the highlighter and the lipstick!
This is one I’ll absolutely swatch and try at the counter. It looks gorgeous on you, I can only hope it’ll look good on me. Questtion is, do I need any more highlighters? Probably not, but this is way too tempting!
This looks lovely but I think it’s far too yellow gold for me. I will probably try it in-store, though, just because it is so pretty.
Worth a try 🙂
I love your eye makeup, Christine!
This highlighter is really pretty…I think it’s going on my Sephora sale shopping list. 🙂
Aw, thank you, Pteetsa!
Wow beautiful. And no emphasis of pores?? I must have! Although I read some reviews saying that it was difficult to apply with a brush, like it was so densely packed that it almost didn’t apply well, and you needed to use your fingers or else it would hardly show up? Did you have this problem at all?
I didn’t! I used a regular blush brush!
Ah I see, I’m just really confused by the negative reviews because some say it either didn’t show up at all and others say it was overkill and way too glittery and an hour in there was just glitter and no sheen left and looked really texture/pore emphasizing. But you said it wasn’t glittery or texture/pore emphasizing right? Idk I guess I’ll have to try it out for myself.
I have seen them as well, but I didn’t have any issues 🙁 I definitely didn’t feel like I had to work/make them work.
