Too Faced La Matte Color Drenched Matte Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.10 oz.) is available in 10 shades. The formula was a miss for me; it felt like an older-school matte that was drying, harder to apply, prone to settling into lip lines, and not even that long-wearing (relative to other mattes).

Looks like Too Faced needs to bring these back to the lab and fix these suckers!!! It’s sad, really. There were several shades I was excited for; Maneater, Pitch Perfect and Bachelorette. There are definitely better performing dupes, is; Bite Amuse Bouche Lipsticks in Black Truffle, Eggplant and Pickled Ginger, is I ain’t cryin’ over here!

I’m not really interested in any of these — not surprising since I don’t really care for matte lipsticks — but occasionally a matte will come out in such an interesting color that I want to check it out anyway. I think Too Faced really missed the boat with this one. Too bad, as they do a number of very nice lip products!

Hey Christine,
The photos on this post and the four more recent posts are coming up with incorrect photos on my iPhone. It is showing eyeshadow swatches where a matte lipstick swatch would be, etc.
