12 Blushes for Spring I've Been Loving

These are twelve blushes that I’ve been really gravitating towards for the last couple of months and keep in reach. I’m sure you can see a trend–corals and browns! (These are only permanent picks, though! There are a few limited edition ones I’ll use before they’re totally old news!)

I’ve been reaching for MAC Sweet Sentiment (LE from a few years ago – one of the mineralize blushes) a lot lately. And I pulled out TheBalm Down Boy, a light pink that has more impact that you’d think just looking at it, for the first time in ages. I also used the peachy blush from Tarte’s Aqualillies recently. It’s rare that I use peachy blushes at all but a few weeks ago, I was in the mood for a change and that blush did the trickl

Trying to use as many organic products as possible and my go-to these days is Kjear Weis blush in Abundance (topped with her Radiance highlighter or RMS Living Luminizer). Gorgeous flush of pink colour and creamy texture.

I believe so. I purchase the refills (not that fabulous case) which keeps the cost comparable to most high-end brands (and stash in my z-palette).
Any chance you’d be entering into those brands? It would be great to see the swatches on you! (and most helpful for me!!) 🙂

I’ve been using MAC Peaches, NARS Impassioned, Kiko Natural Pink, MAC New Romance, Milani Luminoso, and MUFE S718 Salmon. I tend to reach for peaches and brighter pinks once spring has sprung!

VeraLynn Avatar

Another vote for MAC Peaches & Milani Luminoso! Seems we have similar taste in spring blush shades so now I’m thinking I may need to try out some of those other ones..I’ve been eyeing New Romance for awhile:) Also loving TheBalm’s Frat Boy and Coralista from Benefit.

Make You Mine and Fig Pop are at the top of my list.
I need to go to a Chanel counter to see how Malice would look on me. I’m hoping it’s not too light on my skin tone and that it doesn’t disappear on me/barely shows up.

I finally found a blush that works for me! I’m fair with redness in my cheeks and have never had luck with blush, then I bought NARS Impassioned…its new and I took the risk of buying it online because of a description somebody had written. Its a muted soft pale neutral pink (if that makes any sense!) and it doesn’t enhance my redness or look like “too much” on my pale skin, which has been my problem with other blushes, even when applying with a light hand. Love it and highly recommend to other pale people 🙂

Kelly Avatar

I never have any luck with the green correctors, I’ve tried a few and they always make me look super ashy and unnatural. If I use a lighter hand it doesn’t cover anything. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 🙁

NARS Impassioned looks like a dupe of Illamasqua Naked Rose which I love! I can see how well that would work for you. I wear it mainly on my no makeup days when I just use sunscreen and a little illuminating powder. Naked Rose gives me the perfect amount of natural color and dimension without emphasizing the redness in my skin. It’s kind of a chameleon color as it looks good on both cool and warm skin tones.

Kelly Avatar

Thanks, I love Illamasqua but I don’t know where I can find them in Canada anymore, I bought a ton of their eyeshadows when they were clearing out stock at a department store here and they’re great. I will have to keep Naked Rose in mind for next time I go to the US!

I like the Chanel Sunkist Ribbon lately and am determined to use up the rest of my TF palette (the rose one) from last summer! I think I have seen a pic of TF offerings for summer 2016– I see no inclusive palette! (only one with blush/bronzer duo. ……..Sadness.

Christine, I have a product recommendation for you. They are a little hard to find, but La Femme makes really nice, very inexpensive blushes. They also have a huuuge range of shades so they would be a good addition to your swatch collection for comparisons. I always look to them for inexpensive experiments with trends like Marsala and Radiant Orchid.

Camera Ready Cosmetics and Make Up Mania are probably the best sites to order from. They come in refill pans ($3.50) or screw top pots ($5.10 at MuM–Camera Ready only sells the refills). For a blush fanatic like me, they kick butt.

Burberry Earthy, Benefit Roackateur, Thebalm Balm Desert and Hourglass’s Diffused Heat. I don’t own any Chanel blushes but I have my eye on Alezane, Jersey and something with the Sun? Haha, can’t make up my mind.

Estee Lauder’s PC blush in Wild Sunset could be a dupe for TF Love Lust. It’s also a pinky coral with gold shimmer plus Wild Sunset is “only” $30 compared to Love Lust at $55.

I just picked up Mac’s Lovejoy, can’t wait to try it!

Never would have considered Make You Mine, except for your blog. Wore it yesterday to night job, with Nose for Style. Not usually a MAC person. Needed a little color, as had been ailing. With coffee, made it through to 11P, having done day job, too. Just love that one. Think I’ll retry Secret Admirer this spring, ’cause last time I used it, it was a no-show. Before sun catches the skin. Probably wear more MUG than I did this winter…but that might be because of the annoyance factor. Not being a coral, and barely a pink person, prob won’t change it up too much.

It’s still cold here in the UK especially in Scotland where I am so it’s not feeling like spring just yet! It’s 4℃ (39℉) here at the moment, and it gets dark around 6pm. So I’m still wearing pink blushes or darker shades for evening. No coral or peach as yet, love those for summer when my skin goes up a (warmer) shade. I already sort of answered this in the last readers query lol, but I’ll add the following: Gwen Stefani blush palette, Stila’s blushes in both the Sending your Love and A Whole Lotta Love holiday sets. What are the LE blushes you allude to in your post? I like the look of Malice off your list, pretty colour.

Hands down, my fave for spring is MAC Spring Flock! It brightens up my entire face when I wear it. I also like Sephora Over the Moon (sadly DC’d), a cool lavender pink

Claire L Avatar

Spring Flock is the shade that’s been pulled in the UK and it was the one that I wanted ?. I’m so sad! I do have the Too Faced dupe in Justify My Love but it’s darker.

Nicole Avatar

I love these sorts of shades too! Must go with our type of complexion. I have been on a peach blush hunt and just got Nars Gina. So, that’s going into my regular rotation along with UD TMI. I’ve been reaching for Nars madly a lot as well.

Ashleigh Avatar

So pretty! Chanel Malice and Jersey have been on my to-try list forever.
I’ve been wearing these three: Tarte Exposed, Tarte Fearless, and Stila Rosewater watercolor blush. I need to pull out my peachy shades for spring!

Nancy T Avatar

Even though I literally JUST got MAC Spring Flock last Wednesday, I know that I’ll be using that one to death! It looks amazing and so fresh on me! Others that I reach for recently are some of my old standbys: UD Rapture, MAC Burnt Pepper, CP Cruel Intentions, MAC Pink Swoon w/ Pearl Blossom Beauty Powder. I use MAC Cheek Pollen sometimes to “warm up” my cheeks on those less makeup/no makeup look days. And Shaft Of Gold is my *perfect* hit of sunlight!

Katherine T. Avatar

I know!! As soon as I tried MAC Spring Flock, I KNEW it was going to be a top fave, probably going to an HG for that color. It’s so fresh and brightening, like a light bulb for my face, I’m debating whether to get a backup. I’m much lighter than you and Christine, but it’s amazing how flattering it is for so many skintones

For my cool (pink undertones) fair to light NW15 skin Benefit Coralista has always been, and still remains my favorite spring blush. I have the original formulation which seems to have a bit more pink in it than it’s newest iterations. I also love bright, light pinks including NARS Gaiety (a very close second!), Bobbi Brown Pale Pink (which is not pale!), and Powder Pink (discontinued), Illamasqua Promise (a sweet, soft baby/candy pink cream), TheBalm InStain Argyle, and Benefit PosieTint.

For more pale, neutral-ish blushes I love Becca Gypsy, Illamsqua Naked Rose, and the sadly discontinued Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush #10.

Gillian Avatar

Well, the ones I have been using are fairly random since my stash is in a state right now so they are simply the ones I’ve had within reach.

Urban Decay Score
Urban Decay Fetish
MAC Love Thing
Catrice Think Pink
Becca Flowerchild
Rouge Bunny Rouge Orpheline

I think that’s all. I’m not at home to check what’s in my everyday makeup bag!

Lately I’ve been wearing the UD Gwen Stefani palette, especially Hush with OC. Also: Milani Rose Powder Blush in Coral Cove, Awakening Rose, and American Beauty Rose; Wet n Wild ColorIcon Blush in Rose Champagne; Urban Decay Afterglow in Bittersweet and Rapture; Too Faced Flush Blush in Baby Love; Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposure and Bashful; and BareMinerals All-Over Face Color in Rose Radiance.

I love Fig Pop. I recently got Peach Pop, which I can see becoming a favorite.

mish-mash Avatar

I found that powder doesn’t work for me I’ve been using the Armani Infusion Blush, it took a little practice but its so natural

love both Cliniqes and the UD. have all three and more color pops. Have some NARS I love and some IT and Sephora colors too. Almost as much fun as eyeshadow.
