Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks
Bite Beauty Sweet Cream Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “muted peach.” It’s a muted, medium coral rose with warm undertones and a satin finish. Bite Beauty Persimmon Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as an “intense red-orange.” It’s a bright, medium red-orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. It was intensely pigmented with one-stroke coverage that applied with smooth, even color. The consistency was firm in the tube, enough that there is a light pull as it is applied directly to the lips, though the color itself doesn’t drag. On me, the color lasted for over six hours, left a strong stain behind, and was very lightly hydrating overall. Tarte Mai Tai (P, $22.00) is lighter, brighter (95% similar). Formula Overview
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable. All 34 shades are shimmer-free and vary being a soft satin finish to a natural finish (light shine but not glossy). The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamyu with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.
In comparison to the Luminous Creme formula: The level of color payoff and lemony scent are the two things that are similar, but they feel quite different on. If you have drier lips and need the intense hydration that the Luminous Creme formula offered, I don’t know if you’re going to like these. The Luminous Creme formula had a thicker consistency with a very creamy texture that glided on and never tugged at all, and the thicker consistency paired with the glossier finish was more forgiving on lips as it didn’t emphasize lines, natural texture, dryness, or flaking. Some had issues with the Luminous Creme formula bleeding/feathering and shorter-wear due to the amount of slip (high), and the Amuse Bouche formula has much, much less slip, so the wear is longer. I didn’t typically experience bleeding/feathering with the Luminous Creme formula, and that is also true with Amuse Bouche, but I would expect less with this more satin-finish formula for most (but not all). The scent seemed slightly stronger in the Amuse Bouche range, but it wasn’t noticeable after I was done applying the color.

Peachy colors can be tricky for me, but Sweet Cream looks like one that’s easy to wear. Think it has enough brown and red in it, for me to pull it off. Don’t think I have anything like it in my stash, it’s going on my wish list for next Sephora sale
I agree – it is definitely darker so there should be less issue of it potentially washing one out!
Whoa! Pickled Ginger is brighter than I expected. Do you think a pale, cool-toned person could pull it off?
Well, I’m a firm believer in you can wear anything you want – it’s just the confidence to do so that you need! If I can find a way to wear cool pinks, I bet someone cool-toned can wear bright corals 😉
I’m loving ALL 3! Any surprise, though, considering? Especially enthralled by Sweet Cream, it just screams “Summer!” to me. Yep, these are my kind of spring-summer shades!
Pickled Ginger looks very tempting, too!
Pickled Ginger is so fun! I like how it leaned pink.
Having wondered why Pickled Ginger not only looked so good to me, but also strangely familiar, I looked at all the possible dupes listed. No wonder I love it! I have both MAC La Vie En Rouge and Make Me Gorgeous! ?
Love Sweet Cream, love the finish on these!
Happy to hear it, Pearl! 🙂
Oh man, I have to pick me up some of these. Bite lipsticks are probably my favorite I’ve come across and I’d be super stoked to not have to reapply so frequently.
Sounds like you will find this an upgrade! 🙂
I like Sweet Cream best, I do love the colour of Pickled Ginger but it’d be too bright for me and wash me out. Persimmon also looks good, but too warm for me.
Sweet Cream seems to be the favorite here! I never would have called that.
Pickled Ginger is so summery! It’s going on my wish list for sure! Permisson was one of my faves form the original line and I have it on 2 ends of the Mix N mingles and I own the Lab #08 which is listed as 95% dupe.I’ll need to compare it. I looked for these yesterday and I was told they were not going to be in my local store fore a few weeks!
Pickled Ginger totally screams summer!
Really love that pickled ginger!
Yay!
Pickled Ginger is my FAVORITE kind of lipstick shade! The only reason I didn’t order it is because I thought it was basically a repromote of Lip Lab 006, which I have. I guess it’s a lot brighter and different enough to have both!
It is fun! It is so much brighter to me!
Those warm clear colors look great on you! I’ll be checking them out myself next time I go to Sephora.
Thank you! 🙂 Keep me posted on how you like the formula!
These are really lovely colours!
They are!
Whoa, Pickled Ginger is a BEAUTY! And with the recommended sticker on it, I’m definitely going to pick this up at Sephora this month! Thank you Christine!
The pigmentation on these is amazing! I love Sweet Cream!
The Sephora near me didn’t have these in stock yet on Friday, was bummed because I’m eager to try them! These shades are some of my favorites, they’re very pretty.
Pickled Ginger has enough pink in it that it just might look good on me. I’ve got to try it out!
Pickled Ginger is so bright and pretty! It’s nice to see a good pink-leaning coral.
I dont know why but I just love this collection. I had to try a couple colors to finally land on Rhubarb. But this photo makes me want sweet cream too. I swear I want them all!
These first two shade Sweet Cream and Pickled Ginger are more my speed in terms of shades that look good on me. 😉
Oh myyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Pickled Ginger is taking my breath away!
I admired Kelly but thought it was a bit a too warm. If this is slightly cooler I’ll have to swatch it as soon as it’s in store. I want to blind buy it but I’m not 100% sure I can pull it off and I’m terrible at returning things.
I have Sweet Cream and I love the colour, it’s funny how different it looks on me compared to you though! On me it is a much darker reddish shade but it was exactly what I had been looking for for ages. I see so many reviews saying it is long lasting but I find it doesn’t last very long at all? It transfers soooo easily onto everything and I have to basically re-do my lips after eating anything 🙁
It’s not transfer-proof for sure!
