Chanel Rose de Lune Glossimer ($30.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is described as a “shimmering soft pink.” It’s a sheer, light-medium pink with warm undertones and lots of pink and white shimmer/sparkle. Dior Dolly Pink (453) (P, $29.50) is more shimmery (95% similar). Urban Decay Trashed (DC, $19.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). Make Up For Ever 203P Golden Pink (P, $19.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Christian Louboutin Beaute Altareva (P, $85.00) is more pigmented (90% similar). Pat McGrath Sunset Rose (P, $30.00) is cooler (90% similar). Revlon Pinkissimo (DC, $7.99) is warmer (90% similar). Chanel Noce Moscata (P, $30.00) is less shimmery, lighter, cooler (90% similar). Bobbi Brown Pink Tulle (P, $24.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Viva Glam Ariana Grande (LE, $21.00) is less pigmented (90% similar). MAC Domestic Diva (LE, $21.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). Too Faced Grin and Bare It (P, $20.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Becca Guava/Opal (P, $24.00) is more pigmented, warmer (85% similar). Pat McGrath Divine Rose (P, $30.00) is cooler (85% similar). Dior Swan (263) (P, $35.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Maybelline Blushing Petal (505) (P, $8.99) is lighter (85% similar). NARS Baby Doll (P, $26.00) is more shimmery, more pigmented (85% similar). Surratt Beauty Soigne (P, $32.00) is more shimmery (85% similar). MAC Bidi Bidi Bom Bom (LE, $21.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk (LE, $32.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Chanel’s Glossimer is a formula where anything goes as far as pigmentation is concerned (by design); they come in sheer varieties as well as totally opaque varieties though the range has leaned primarily sheer to semi-sheer over the last five years. This is one of those sheerer shades. On me, despite its sheerness, it adds a darker pink coloring to my lips overall, but if you have redder lips naturally, it’ll probably be more shimmery and less of a noticeable color difference. There is a lot of sparkle, and the gloss disperses that sparkle evenly across the lips. There’s enough plushness to the gloss’ texture that you don’t feel the bits of shimmer and sparkle on the lips, and they don’t migrate all over during wear. It’s a smooth, comfortable-to-wear gloss with light tackiness that wears for three and a half hours on me. It was nicely hydrating as well.

I’m glad to see another winner from Chanel! I never liked gloss until I tried their formula and it’s easily become my favorite. When I found out they discontinued Plasir I nearly freaked out.

Anyway, this shade looks great on you and I could see it fitting a huge spectrum of skin tones. Gotta love a versatile color! I prefer the jelly and cream finishes so this looks like a pass for me, but it’s certainly pretty.

Oh gosh, that’s like asking me X-Men character is my favorite! If I had to pick, though, I would say Plasir (which is discontinued), Glaze, Murmure, and the new plumping gloss. I (obviously haha) prefer the jelly and cream finishes personally but Crushed Cherry and Amour are so flattering on pretty much anyone who wants a fuss-free, comfortable gloss.

I’m wondering how the heck did it do that?!? The skin swatch and tube are pale baby pink, and then on your lips; BAM! Color! Just so unexpected and nicer than I would have pictured looking at that tube, LoL!
But I do still have plenty of my Domestic Diva left, so all’s good!

I like the color, but I was hoping for a stronger pink base. It’ll be a pass, which is fine considering how much I want from the collection over all. 😛
