Bobbi Brown Sunset Orange Luxe Lip Color ($35.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bright red.” It’s a bright, medium orange with warm, red undertones and a glossy shine. Bobbi Brown Your Majesty Luxe Lip Color ($35.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “Bordeaux red.” It’s a muted, dark burgundy red with warm, brown undertones and a glossy finish. It had mostly opaque pigmentation with a very emollient consistency. The formula applied easily on the lips and never tugged, but it was slippery enough that I did have some feathering after four hours of wear. The color lasted well for closer to six hours on me and left a stain behind. I found the formula hydrating and comfortable to wear overall. It was one of the better-applying formulas I have tried in this color. Bite Beauty #001 (Reformulation) (LE, $36.00) is warmer (95% similar). Bite Beauty Mulled Maple (LE, $24.00) is lighter (95% similar). Bite Beauty #001 (LE, $36.00) is warmer, less glossy (95% similar). Bite Beauty Black Cherry (LE, $24.00) is warmer (95% similar). MAC Tribalist (LE, $19.00) is more muted (95% similar). NARS Ingrid (P, $34.00) is darker (90% similar). NARS Charlotte (P, $34.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). NARS Bette (P, $34.00) is brighter (90% similar). Guerlain #23 (P, $36.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Bobbi Brown Plum Brandy (DC, $37.00) is cooler (90% similar). Chanel Attraction (494) (P, $37.00) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). MAC Dionysus (DC, $21.00) is darker (90% similar). Sephora Me First (38) (P, $13.00) is lighter, cooler, glossier (90% similar). Maybelline Smoking Red (DC, $7.49) is less glossy (90% similar). Estee Lauder Plum Bite (P, $32.00) is cooler (90% similar). Bite Beauty Scarlet (DC, $24.00) is brighter (90% similar). Pat McGrath Anarkissed (DC, $40.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

FORMULA SUMMARY | Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color ($35.00 for 0.12 oz.) is supposed to have one-stroke color coverage with a hydrating, smoothing formula, and “nourishing shine.” I was impressed with the formula as a whole, as the majority of the shades were very pigmented in one pass with a creamy consistency that glided on easily. There’s a richness to the texture that does feel more “luxe” in a way. The natural-to-luminous shine level gives lips a smoother, plumper look, while the formula itself is hydrating and many shades are longer-wearing. I noticed that the lighter shades tended to perform more poorly relative to more light-medium to medium-dark-hued shades. There was a faint floral scent (that was a surprise, I wish they had gone the unscented!), but I didn’t have issues with taste and found it very subtle on (it’s no Dior/Chanel-level scent!). In general, I like Bobbi Brown’s lipstick formulas, and this one feels creamier and more hydrating than others, but for pigmentation, you can’t go wrong with this or the Rich Lip Color formula.

My heart just stopped! Stunning. Both of them. I must get both ASAP! Your Majesty , I knows it would need a liner. I’m used to lining with deep colors and Sunset is gorgeous. I was thinking it would be a “summer” shade. But, girl you are rocking it!

I’m not a Bobbi Brown fan except for last year’s Holiday highlighters, but I came upon this and tried it and love this lipstick. I have a couple of them. Exactly as you described them. They’re really lovely.

Well, Your Majesty might be my first Bobbi Brown lipstick. I’m still obsessed with BITE Janaury shade 001 (the one that got away), and at 95%, this looks like the closest dupe, and it’s permanent (yay!) All of the other 95% dupes are LE

Your Majesty looks so rich and moisturizing! Love its name, too! Shame about it feathering, but easily remedied if I used a lipliner, I would hope? This is a beautiful, glamorous shade on you!

Just love the Your Majesty lipstick – I am always drawn to these colours. It looks beautiful on you Christine. But I own Maybelline’s Divine Wine and it is a better dupe (in terms of ratings) than this one AND a lot cheaper. Thank you for your magnificent dupe list – it is a winner!
