MAC Cherry Popping & Rollergirl Dazzleglasses Reviews, Photos, Swatches
MAC Cherry Popping Dazzleglass
MAC Cherry Popping Dazzleglass ($20.00 for 0.06 fl. oz.) is described as a “fuchsia with purple pearl.” It’s a muted, pinky-red with lighter violet and pink sparkle and shimmer. It was semi-sheer on lips with noticeable color that went on evenly but still let the natural lip color come through. The texture was medium-thick with a tacky feel. On me, the gloss lasted for four and a half hours and was lightly hydrating. MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus (LE, $15.00) is lighter, brighter. MAC Social Season (LE, $20.00) is lighter, brighter. MAC Love Alert (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery, lighter. L’Oreal Dazzle Me (LE, $9.99) is cooler. Bobbi Brown Electric Violet (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, cooler. MAC Rollergirl Dazzleglass ($20.00 for 0.06 fl. oz.) is described as a “nude with pink pearl.” It’s a light, beige-brown with lighter gold and pink sparkle. It is sheer with a little creamy, warming tint but for some, the natural lip color may be darker/stronger and see even less impact. The texture was tacky, thicker, but it was a little hydrating over time. It wore for four hours on me. Charlotte Tilbury Ibiza Nights (P, $22.00) is lighter, warmer. Bobbi Brown Candlelight (LE, $24.00) is lighter. MAC Phiff (LE, $20.00) is lighter, less pigmented. MAC Moth to Flame (P, $20.00) is less pigmented. Bobbi Brown Beach (P, $24.00) is darker. FORMULA SUMMARY | MAC Dazzleglass ($20.00 for 0.06 fl. oz.) is supposed to be a “non-sticky, non-tacky, lightweight, and moisturizing” gloss with “exceptional shine with a crystalline iridescence” with “sheer colour.” Dazzleglasses are a very sparkly, longer-wearing gloss that is heavier and very tacky (it’s incredibly thick and noticeable on the lips–it’s not for someone who doesn’t like gloss). The tackier quality helps the wear trend towards three to five hours, and it helps prevent the sparkle from feeling gritty when worn while also keeping it from traveling all over the place. It has a brush-type applicator, and it is worth noting that despite the thicker plastic tube, it actually contains only 0.06 fl. oz. (Lipglass contains 0.17 fl. oz.). They are typically sheer to semi-sheer with their best qualities being the high-shine finish that’s very sparkly. They’re usually non-drying to lightly moisturizing for me. They are vanilla-scented but have no discernible taste.

A bit too sparkly for my liking, though Rollergirl might be juuust subtle enough, not sure.
These are pretty sparkly!
OK, showing my age here, but am I the only one offended by the name “Cherry Popping”?
I’m sure you’re not!
No, you’re not. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea?
They are pretty in the tube, but $20 seems kind of pricey, and I prefer my sparkle to be more shimmery, less glittery-looking.
It is pricey!
Well, Cherry Popping looks quite beautiful, though I think I’m good with Domestic Diva? They seem to have a similar look. Rollergirl is a big pass for me!!! Reminds me of my well-used tube of Nyx Mega Gloss in Crystal Soda, which makes a nice topper for a nude lip, would never work on its own.
You’re probably covered!
Disappointing. Roller girl looks so pretty, that sparkly nude…but wish it was more opaque :/.
Thanks…you’ve really been saving me money lately!
No problem, Kristi!
Cherry Popping? Seriously, MAC?
I wonder how it relates to disco!
Cherry Popping has great sparkle. I wish these were a little more pigmented.
I understand!
I may have to go back and get Cherry Popping. Not the most original, but I think I’d get a lot of use from it!
It’s pretty on its own!
A bit too sparkly!
Totally understand!
Hilarious that MAC says Dazzleglass is non-tacky…it’s the tackiest, stickiest formula I’ve ever experienced! What were they thinking – that people will believe anything? I love the colors and the shimmer of a lot of Dazzleglasses, but it’s just SO uncomfortable to wear. I only wear it when I know I won’t be eating or drinking anything, and not talking much, because it feels gross.
Right??? Non-tacky?! Noooooo way.
I wish MAC made Rollergirl a little more pigmented. I would be all over it
It would be prettier with a little more color in the base!
