Here are the last three shades I bought from the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.10 oz.) range, which is supposed to be a medium coverage, hydrating lipstick with a “luminous shine.” They have semi-opaque to mostly opaque coverage with a luminous finish. Some shades have a faint pearl shimmer, but the shimmer is hard to detect when worn (I wouldn’t describe them as shimmery, for example). The wear time ranges from four to six hours, and the formula is hydrating while worn. The texture is more balm-like with some tackiness, but it’s comfortable to wear. I couldn’t detect any scent or taste from the formula.

Estee Lauder Passionate Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a bright, medium fuchsia-pink with lighter violet and fuchsia pearl. This shade has a natural shine, but it wasn’t as glossy as other shades in the range, while the shimmer was more noticeable than most shades. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that went on evenly and smoothly without pulling into lip lines. On me, the color lasted for five hours and left a slight stain behind, while the formula felt comfortable and hydrating. Maybelline Carnation Cabernet (970) (LE, $7.49) is cooler-toned. Tom Ford Beauty Francesco (LE, $32.00) is darker. Lipstick Queen Play It (P, $50.00) is less glossy. Bobbi Brown Hot Berry (P, $26.00) is darker, more shimmery. MAC Red Balloon (LE, $16.00) is cooler-toned. MAC Quite the Thing! (LE, $17.00) is more muted. MAC Feeling Amorous? (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery. Revlon Whimsical (115) (P, $8.99) is less shimmery. MAC Pleasurefruit (LE, $17.00) is less shimmery. Revlon Fuchsia Shock (P, $7.99) is cooler-toned, lighter. Revlon Sorbet (P, $7.49) is slightly darker. MAC Lickable (P, $16.00) is less shimmery, cooler-toned. Guerlain Girly (P, $51.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Estee Lauder Pink Dragon Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had nearly full color coverage–there was hardly any translucency at all–with a slightly thicker, creamier consistency compared to other shades. It seemed more prone to mpehasizing lip lines as well. It stayed on well for four and a half hours, and it was still moisturizing. Estee Lauder Ambitious Pink (P, $30.00) is lighter, less glossy. Chanel Elise (448) (P, $36.00) is less glossy, cooler-toned. Urban Decay Sheer Ladyflower (P, $20.00) is less glossy, darker. MAC Phosphorescent (LE, $17.00) is warmer. MAC Pheromonal (LE, $17.00) is brighter, cooler-toned. Givenchy Hibiscus Exclusif (302) (P, $36.00) is similar. Bite Beauty Damask (LE, $28.00) is a little lighter. Guerlain Geraldine (77) (P, $51.00) is cooler-toned. YSL Caress Pink (9) (P, $34.00) is lighter, warmer. Buxom Mistress (LE, $21.00) is more matte. Urban Decay Turn On (P, $22.00) is darker, more matte. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Estee Lauder Surreal Sun Pure Color Envy Shine Sculpting Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a medium, pink-leaning coral with a glossy, creamy finish. It mostly opaque pigmentation that covered evenly and smoothly, while the high-shine finish gave lips a fuller, more rounded look. The formula was comfortable to wear with a hydrating feel, and the color lasted well for four and a half hours on me. Maybelline Coral Burst (740) (P, $7.49) is more matte, pinker. MAC Love Temple (LE, $22.00) is less glossy. MAC Toying Around (LE, $16.00) is brighter, less glossy. Estee Lauder Defiant Coral (P, $30.00) is darker, brighter. Revlon Snow Peach (LE, $7.99) is a smidgen pinker. Guerlain Attrape-Coeur (171) (LE, $37.00) is pinker. YSL Rose Neillia (33) (P, $34.00) is pinker. Too Faced Bon Bon (P, $22.00) is less glossy. Urban Decay Streak (P, $22.00) is less glossy. Givenchy Rose Dressing (202) (P, $36.00) is darker, pinker. MAC Elegant Accent (P, $22.00) is more matte. MAC Watch Me Simmer (LE, $16.00) is more matte, pinker. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Kinda want Pink Dragon mainly for the name (I love dragons!). Though I’m currently wearing a sample I just got of UD Sheer Ladyflower and I’m surprised at how much I like both the colour and the formula, so maybe I’ll for for that instead.

Gorgeous AGAIN! <3 🙂 I'm very happy with my now happily owned Burberry Lip Mists, though! They are seriously the perfect color, soothing, hydrating, and perfect in every way! 🙂

Seeing how beautiful these are has given me a serious case of “buyer’s remorse” regarding my recent MAC Amplified splurge! Well, with the exception of my much-loved Maria Moretti and also Diva-ish. It would seem that Reel Sexy and Make Me Gorgeous bunch up on me where my lips meet and I am constantly having to smooth it out and add a bit more. Worse yet, the one that I hunted down and that looks so wonderful on me? Morange? Not only bunched up, but caused some very bizarre reaction on my lips, a dry, bumpy rash! So weird! I’ve been trying to nurse them back to health for two days straight. Left wondering what could possibly be in the more orange hued Amplifieds…?

UPDATE: Great news! It was NOT the Morange that made my lips get a rash and swelling! Nope, it was a new salsa I tried while I had it on. Go figure. With that conundrum settled….I can definitely say how much I love 2 of THESE: Passionate and Surreal are just lovely!!! Especially that shimmer in the Passionate lippy!

Whew! It was a relief to find out, I was so freaked out when it happened, scared it may have been triggered by wheat gluten because I’m not supposed to have gluten.

I want all of these! The swatches for Pink Dragon are especially helpful as I wasn’t sure if it would be too light or too warm for me. But I have and love Sheer Ladyflower and Mistress, so it seems this is exactly the right kind of pink!

Talk about timing! I’ve had these three in my EL shopping cart for a couple of days now; uming and ahing about whether to pull the trigger. Sold! 🙂
