Surratt Beauty La Vie En Rose Artistique Blush
Surratt Beauty La Vie En Rose Artistique Blush ($32.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “soft rose.” It’s a medium, pink-plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. MAC Animal Instincts (LE, $21.00) is darker, cooler-toned. Hourglass Mood Exposure (P, $35.00) is warmer. Urban Decay Fetish (LE) is darker. NARS G-Spot (P, $39.00) is darker, more shimmery, cream. Illamasqua Allure (P, $26.00) is much warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
This is the kind of shade that is easy to wear on light to medium skin tones but may get lost on deeper complexions. It isn’t too warm or reddish, and it has a subdued quality to it, so it is easily worn as a sheer layer of color or applied with more true-to-pan color. It had a soft, silky texture that felt almost like a cream blush, though it was definitely a powder product. La Vie En Rose seemed less pigmented than other shades I’ve tested in the Surratt range, though it had decent, buildable color coverage. It has a satin-matte finish that gets more luminous as it is buffed and worked into the skin, but it never looks shimmery or frosted, so it doesn’t emphasize pores or skin imperfections. The color wore well for eight and a half hours before it started to fade along the edges.

Thank you!
This one looks really pretty! Seems like it’ll go with everything. 🙂
It is very versatile!
This is like the perfect fall blush! I love it!
Glad ya liked it, Erin!
Of all the Surratt blushers you’ve shown us, this is by far the loveliest with your complexion. It’s a believable flush of soft, warm color that takes your natural beauty to a whole new level. Lovely!
Thank you so much, Eileen!
really liking this one too, Eileen!
Pretty! And it looks so natural 🙂
It does 🙂 Between the finish and tone, it will look natural on most skin tones.
This is the one I got. I love it and would like to get a few more. I’m looking forward to your eye shadow reviews. I won’t give my opinion yet. Lol
So glad you loved it, Cyndi! 🙂
The blush looks so beautiful , subtle and wonderful 🙂
It is a lovely everyday color!
Such a beautiful nude pink for warm skin!! How you will compare to tarte exposed??
Exposed is a lot more neutral and brown – it’s not really a warm plum like this.
Plummy neutrals like this have recently caught on with me in a big way. I’ve had HG Mood Exposure on my hit list forever, but took it off my wishlist when I picked up BECCA beach tint shimmer in Raspberry Opal which pulls plummy on me and looks similar to Mood Exposure. I’m thinking THIS might be the one I pick up from Surratt: a powder version with less shimmer. So happy to find one in this formula that isn’t covered ‘to the nines’ in my stash.
It’s a miracle 😉
Oh, for… 😛 These Surratt blushes are so gorgeous on you! Almost every single one seems so fresh and natural looking 🙂
Seems to be the signature finish!
This one reminds me of NARS Douceur, but maybe a touch warmer.
I can see some resemblan ce!
I must admit, I’m really liking the look of these blushes, and I LOVE the clean black aesthetic!
I really like the finish of them on!
Me too! I don’t think there are many blushes that have just made me go “Ooooh” like that, you know? They look so pretty and naturally radiant.
lovely shade but I doubt if it will show on my skintone.. 🙂
Bummer 🙁 But I understand!
My favorite blush hands down. Amazing texture
Yay!
