I LOVE Aqua. Gorgeous color!
I love colors like that hue!
Me, too! I don’t wanna buy it as it’s expensive here but it looks like there’s no nice dupe other than Inglot’s 🙁 the aquas in my 120 palette aren’t pigmented enough….and i’d have to buy a palette to get the inglot one. I hate that i have to spend money on that too). As for aquadisiac, I got a Flormar dupe of it. I just love all shades of blue-green, light, medium or dark <3
Funny how my eyes lit onto this post for the love of greens, but I do not reach for them very often. If, I do, I tend to grab army and olive greens which actually appear like neutrals on me. Thanks to my discovery of peach corrector, I can wear deeper blue greens which used to be a complete no no due to under eye discoloration.
Can’t say MAC greens are well represented in my collection. Although I remember wearing Humid ad nauseum one summer. When was that? early 2000’s?
MAC and their cooler greens seem to be dwindling, so perhaps that is why!
Wow, Greensmoke looks so pretty! 🙂
It’s a nice earthy green!
I have Humid and have hardly worn it! I am such a noob when it comes to colored eye shadow! Would love to see it in a look on you Christine, if only to get some inspiration! 🙂
I’ve always liked Humid with golds!
Kelly and Aquadisiac are perfect!
Kelly is a cool shade!
Humid is my go-to for hazel eye looks, it’s perfect!
What do you like to pair it with?
Love these green. Humid and Greensmoke are beautiful!
Humid is an old fave!
I’ve been thinking about getting into mac eyeshadows and humid and aqua are two that I think would be good green options.
Humid is a really good one!
Greensmoke and Humid are soo gorgeous! I have something very similar to Humid but need to buy greensmoke! The swatch gallery is so cool (I know its been around for a while..I just never commented on it!) – congrats to you and Sean on thinking of and building that out. I’m a (software) engineer so I know the amount of work and time that would have gone into building something like that – kudos to you guys!!
Thanks so much, Dee! 🙂 Swatch Gallery is one of my favorite things we’ve done!
I have Aqua, Aquadisiac, Bottled Green, Humid and Kelly! Aquadisiac is such a gorgeous color and I have not used it in awhile! Looking at Greensmoke is making me want to B2M for it!
I haven’t used Aquadisiac in FOREVER, lol!
How lovely is Greensmoke?!
Must. Have!
It works well with a lot of colors!
I think I like Humid the best out of these! I like Kelly and Bottle Green as well, but they look a little, I don’t know…’not quite’, Bottle green seems a bit dry.chunky and Kelly could be a little more saturated in colour. But I’m probably nitpicking, LOL!
MAC’s mattes are an interesting animal – some of them, like both of those shades, perform better applied on the lid, since you ted to build up color or blend out, so they appear nicer when really applied vs. merely swatched.
Christine, at some point will you post any looks with these beautiful greens? I love them, but I have no idea how to use them, especially ones like Aqua, Aquadisiac and Kelly (the others I can figure out).
I don’t plan to do any looks with these at this time, but I’m sure I have used Aqua/Aquadisiac previously in the looks’ section!
Thanks! I’ll check it out in Looks
Hey, Allison! I don’t own the other two, but I love using Aquadisiac as a pop of color in an overall neutral look! I most recently used it in a look where I had MAC’s Tan Pigment on the lid with UD Buck and ABC Gum blending that out with Aquadisiac on the lower lashline.
Thank you, Miss J, for the suggestion! Great idea. I have a cream shadow that is pretty close to Aquadisiac and it’s been languishing because I’m not sure what to do with it. I will definitely try it with a neutral eye for a color pop along the lower lashline.
I’ve always loved Aquadisiac
What do you like to pair it with?
love Greensmoke and Humid ,beautiful colors and wearable. 😉
They are!
these posts are so helpful Christine 🙂 pls add your fav at the end dear if you can 😀 😀
kelly green is looking beyond gorgeoussss
It’s so hard to pick! Maybe Bottle Green!
I have Greensmoke and Aquadisiac, I’ve not used them in ages I just swatched them and I really love Greensmoke. Think I must use it today. I have a few other MAC greens I like, De Menthe, Sprout and Lucky Green. Some of them might be DC.
Green is a fun colour. It’s nice to go away from my usual pink/purples every now and then.
Humid is a shade I must take a closer look at. Very pretty.
Lucky Green is permanent, but De Menthe and Sprout are definitely gone!
I think Sprout was my very first MAC eye shadow. It’s such a happy green 🙂
I love Bottle Green and wear it often as an eyeliner. Stays all day and looks great combined with lots of other colors.
Nice! I bet it looks great that way.
How did I not know these shadows existed? I LOVE Aqua and Kelly!
I only just acquired Kelly myself when I bought shades I was missing, lol!
If Kelly isn’t in my life soon, I will probably cry. Literally. That is so damn beautiful.
It is such a nice shade!
I have Aquadisiac and adore it. Christine, you mentioned that Bottle Green is your favorite. I like it, and I intend to purchase it, but I’m worried about the texture, because based on the swatch, it doesn’t look as great as Kelly–ok, Kelly is satin, and Bottle Green is matte. Is Bottle Green powdery, thin, or dry?
It is powdery, but it builds well, and when I apply it in the crease, I really don’t have issues with it!
Thank you so much for your quick and so helpful reply, dear! Exactly! For me, this shade is perfect to crease. I’ll pick it up as soon as possible, and within this month.
You are exceptional and gentle.
May God bless you!
I can just imagine an amazing green leather handbag when i look at Kelly, great color.
Oooh! That would be pretty.
Greensmoke is a shadow I got years ago and hardly use because while it looks so lovely in the pan, like so many lustre shadows, it doesn’t translate as well on the eyes but still I love the look of it and use it from time to time, often over a base. Humid is a favourite for fall, and I often pair it with Wedge to sort of tone it down.
I’m always surprised that Lustre finishes remain as popular as they do… they drive me nuts!
I have Kelly and Humid and don’t use them enough. I really need to challenge myself to start experimenting with colors again. Also Aqua looks like a beautiful shade. I immediately thought of the 60’s with that color.
I hope you find ways to use Kelly! So pretty.
