5 Pink Blushes to Try This Summer
Do you go bolder or subtler during the summer for your blush? I find it just depends on whether I’ve reached for brighter lip colors or not; if I go bright on the lips, I usually go quite light on the cheeks and vice versa. Here are some of my current recommendations if you’re in the market for a fun, pink-hued blush this summer:
- YSL Fuchsia Desinvolte (01) — a fuchsia pink that can be applied as a light stain or as a deep blush (bonus: works well on lips, too!0)
- theBalm Down Boy — a cool-toned, light-medium pink with a mostly matte finish
- Clinique Berry Pop (03) — cool-toned, raspberry pink with a luminous finish
- MAC Lovecloud — a light-medium, warm-toned pink
- Milani Bella Rosa (11) — a vibrant, pink-red with a matte finish

Clinique Berry Pop is such a nice spring/summer color. I also like to use MAC Dollymix in these seasons.
Dollymix is a great pick, Nicole! 🙂
I love Lovecloud! I’m switching between it and Subtle Breeze on most days.
I might try to finish up my Benefit Hervana when summer comes, since I have to use multiple layers for it to show p on me in the summeru.
I’m so glad MAC made Lovecloud permanent!
I forgot about Clinique’s Cheek Pop Blushes, so pretty and affordable. Plum pop is now on my wishlist. Christine, what type of brush do you like to use with cream blush formulas?
I’ve been using MAC’s 159 a lot lately! Usually a blend of synthetic/natural fibers.
Thanks! I’m going to search Hakuhodo for something similar.
I love Tarte’s Natural Beauty for pink blush! You can work with it to look natural and it shows up well on me too! Down Boy looks really pretty!
Do you like the pressed version or the stain? I think they have both, lol!
I wish I’d got Berry Pop instead of Plum Pop! They look so similar in the pan but it’s really hard to get Plum Pop to show up. I’ve got a LE blush from TooFaced called La Vie en Rose that is wonderful for summer and, of course, I always love Tarte’s Natural Beauty.
You’re not the first to have issues with pigment on the Cheek Pops, though in general it seems like it is the “top layer” that is problematic and after that it is better (it shouldn’t ever be a problem, however).
The Clinique Cheek Pops are great! But also, who can deny the cute design.
True! Not only did they come out with a cute design, but it’s a nice price point + formula!
I love the Milani blush! It’s so buttery smooth. I need the Kiss and Blush next!
It’s amazing!
Bella Rose looks gorgeous, I really like that it has so much red in it.
Me too! So rich.
They all look really beautiful!
Glad ya liked ’em, Rikki!
Absolutely love the way the Clinique look, the packaging doesn’t hurt either!
They’re so cute!
Eventhough I’m a total beauty junkie and worked for the top beauty companies where we got to try a lot of products, I have never tried Milani. That color looks delicious. I must try despite my obsession with NARS blushes and most recently Kat Von D.
Worth trying since it’s so budget-friendly!
The Milani blush is really pigmented, but is absolutely gorgeous. I’m fair with pink undertones, so I use a fan blush to apply. I wear it with a matching lipstick and a simple eye, usually a soft, neutral metallic color on the lid only and mascara. Easy out the door look.
Sounds gorgeous, Anne! Using a fan brush is a great call – love them!
I vote for 1 and 5!
Yay!
Eep! Can’t wait til I can get a hold of those YSL Kiss and Blush beauties and have a swatch-a-thon…

STOP TEMTING ME TO BUY ALL THE CHEEK POP BLUSHES, ARGHARGHARGH… ;-P
I’ll be curious to hear which YSL catches your attention!
I like to wear Nars Desire, Rock & Republic’s Kinky, Tarte’s Natural Beauty and Physicians Formula Happy pink blush. Tempted to buy Milani’s Bella Rosa but need to make a dent in the ones I own before buying anymore.
R&R!! They had such great blush texture. Sad they went away!
These are all beautiful! I’d include the NYX ones as well, as they really performed well in your reviews and look great universally! I don’t necessarily go bolder or otherwise with my blush because of it being a specific season, though I find summer encouraging to play more and have fun with minimal product or products that last a while that give maximum effect! We will be sweating! 😀 Nothing looks more beautiful than what we all strive for; natural beauty. Being that the sun shines more full spectrum in the summer, it increases moods upwards and women are likely to feel more beautiful, believe they are, and thus, are. Women and men! I love that summer brings that out in us all.
For some reason, summer always makes me reach for bolder, brighter colors – not that I don’t or wouldn’t wear brighter shades during the rest of the year – but I long for brights in the summer!
I’m excited by them! YaY!! 😀
I rarely use pink-toned blushes, but I really like Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop and Tom Ford Cheek Color in Frantic Pink. 🙂
Love Frantic Pink!
Clinique has always a good price quality ratio, I’d go for that.
Agreed!
Berry Pop is amazing!
It is! The finish is amazing.
Great picks! MAC Well Dressed is another great one. I have been using it a couple of times a week lately.
Well Dressed is a total classic!
