Bite Beauty Cin Cin Luminous Creme Lipstick
Bite Beauty Cin Cin Luminous Creme Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “tropical coral.” It’s a very slightly muted, medium orange with a hint of red and a soft sheen. It had full color coverage, and the finish of this shade wasn’t quite as glossy as some of the other shades in the range, but there’s still some shine so it isn’t matte. The texture was lightweight, creamy, and comfortable to wear for the five and a half hours the color lasted. It was nicely moisturizing while I wore it. Bite Beauty’s lipsticks have a lemony/herbal scent to me but no discernible taste. Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen (P, $22.00) is a touch darker. Bite Beauty Blood Orange (LE, $24.00) is more matte, redder. Bite Beauty Clementine (LE, $24.00) is more orange, brighter. Givenchy Mandarine Bolero (304) (P, $36.00) is similar. MAC Sweet Grenadine (LE, $17.00) is lighter. MAC Booyah (LE, $18.00) is more orange. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Bite Beauty Musk Luminous Creme Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “pink brown.” It’s a light-medium, rosy beige with a creamy, lightly glossy finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a creamy, glide-on consistency that didn’t tug or drag on the lips. It seems mostly neutral in tone, possibly leaning cooler on pinker complexions and warmer on yellower complexions. This shade lasted for three and a half hours on me and was moderately hydrating while worn. MAC Pure Pout (P, $22.00) is lighter. MAC Spice (LE, $16.00) is darker. MAC Shanghai Spice (LE, $16.00) is darker. Dior Incognito (P, $31.00) is a touch lighter. Bobbi Brown Uber Beige (P, $24.00) is more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Bite Beauty Vigne Luminous Creme Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “fuchsia berry.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a luminous finish. There’s a little raspberry-ish coloring to it–so it’s not as bold or as vibrant as true fuchsia, nor as blue based, so if you’ve ever felt like fuchsia was too hard to wear, a color like this may be a better fit. It had rich, opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly without dragging or tugging during application. This color wore well for five hours and was nicely hydrating while worn. MAC Red Balloon (LE, $16.00) is brighter, darker. MAC Good Taste (P, $22.00) is slightly cooler-toned. Tom Ford Beauty Incorrigible (08) (LE, $49.00) is slightly cooler-toned. MAC Heavenly Hybrid (LE, $16.00) is cooler-toned, more muted. Chanel Fougueuse (138) (P, $34.00) is sheerer. L’Oreal Pink Flamingo (180) (P, $8.95) is lighter. Giorgio Armani #505 (LE, $32.00) is brighter. Urban Decay Turn On (P, $22.00) is warmer. NARS Yu (P, $25.00) is more matte. Milani Hot Pink Rage (P, $5.49) is more matte. Mm, not too excited about any of the shades, really.
Aww, bummer!
Oh, CinCin! I like that one. Have got to look at this and Casablanca from Nars together. Unless they’re too close to Excentrique RA.
I like CinCin best 😀
I’m really liking Musk. It seems like a great, everyday shade.
I totally agree with you, Danielle!
Cin Cin is lovely! That would be my pick from the range!!!
Yay! That one is lovely.
Cin Cin is a softer, milkier orange than I would have expected from the tube! I really like it.
Me too! I love how it is more muted.
I got Vigne about 2 weeks ago and I’ve worn it almost every day since. I absolutely LOVE it.
Nice! 😀 After going through more Bite Beauty products recently, I scoured through my “lipsticks to review” box and found a few that I had bought eons ago! Sad I didn’t try them earlier.
I’m glad these lipsticks apply better on the lips than they do in swatches. Vigne is such a nice color!
I think it’s the slip that does that – they adhere better to lips (which are smoother than my arm!)!
I love Cin Cin and Musk!
Yay! 🙂
The first and last are lovely and lovely on you! Shows how we can (I can) err on the side of being too neutral. The middle one is pretty…fine…and I’d probably love it if I didn’t have the other two as comparisons. The colors just light up your face so the middle one pales next to them. I really didn’t think I’d like the first now I’m seriously considering getting it! Thoughts?.
I always love the idea of going outside of our “boxes” so-to-speak, so if the first is catching your eye, it might be worth trying! Or if you’ve always wanted to rock a really pretty orange but most have been too bright, a good option to check out!
My mom got me a little kit a year or so ago that had 5 mini Bite lipsticks in Musk, Shiraz, Fig, Retsina and Pomegranate and I also just purchased Zin in the full size last weekend. My absolute favorite out of the bunch is Shiraz.
Musk always looks funny on me on it’s own–my coloring just isn’t right for it. I have found that it can look really nice with different glosses paired over it, though, but that’s more effort than I want to put in sometimes.
Shades like Musk always work better on me with really heavy eyes – have you tried that before? Usually the REALLY light shades look weird on me unless the eyes are ~drama~.
I have one of the lipsticks and I LOVE the texture and finish. Best feel of a lipstick I’ve ever experienced!
Yay! Happy to hear you had good results with the formula, Kira. Which shade do you have?
I can’t tell you enough how much I love the bite beauty line, they are my alternative to buying all the Rouge G’s. I’m so glad you reviewed some of the lipsticks. I have Cin Cin and it looks more red on me. You’re also right about Musk, it is a little darker and more plum on my lips.
Now, do you prefer Bite over Rouge G for formula? 😉
No, Rouge G is more comfortable to wear in the sense that it feels weightless somehow, and it makes my lips look smoother and fuller. I also enjoy the Rouge G scent. Bite lipsticks are a little heavier, but very hydrating and forgiving as well. They’re my favorite other than Rouge G! 😉
Gotcha! 🙂 I’m always curious. The price of Rouge Gs is very $$$, and with makeup, you’re never getting dollar-for-dollar improvement in quality, but it is always interesting to just come out and say which is better, regardless! Sometimes it’s a surprise, sometimes it’s not.
Cin Cin looks like a very lovely, wearable and not too much into your face kinda orange! So pretty on you!
Aw, thanks Divya! 🙂
cin cin looks beautiful on you. i have it in a little mini and never wear it. i’ll have to pull it out. i have almost all of the dupes for it too…i must like that color! vigne looks gorgeous…i’ll have to check it out at sephora.
Thank you, Beka! 🙂
Musk looks like a good MLBB shade! What is your favourite MLBB shade, Christine?
I usually reach for Ginny from Guerlain!
Cin Cin is the perfect summer lipstick! I’ve been loving orange lippies lately
Me too 😀
I love the formula of these and Cin Cin and Musk look stunning. I have a feeling though Cin Cin will pull neon on my skintone.
That is too bad, Kami! 🙁
I love ’em ALL! They all turned out so different from what I had expected, but in a good way.
Yay!!
Love Cin Cin and Musk! <3
Those seem to be favorites!
Looking forward to trying the Bite line at Sephora.
All three look great, but I especially love Musk!
I like all three shades but I thin the only one that would work for me is Vinge.
Musk is a very pretty nude on you! Mind you, as always, they all look great on you, dammit! 😉
I have to try this brand. Somehow, someday, I will manage to give it a go. They look so creamy and lovely!
I have two Bite lipsticks Zinfandel- love it! and Apricot but I would gladly add Cin Cin to my stash!
I have heard so many good things about Bite and their products, i’d really like to give some of them a go! I love all of these colours as well! 🙂
I’m definitely drawn to those muted oranges like Cin Cin this summer! Luckily, I just got Mandarine Bolero, which is similar to Cin Cin and I haven’t even worn it yet!!
I am on a hunt of coral lippie these days and cin cin seems to be perfect! Vigne is looking so pretty on you <3
I’d rather MAC get Alluring Aquatics’ Clear Water back for me. 🙁
