MAC Sea Me, Hear Me, & Seduced at Sea Extra Dimension Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Sea Me, Hear Me Extra Dimension Blush
MAC Sea Me, Hear Me Extra Dimension Blush ($27.50 for 0.22 oz.) is described as a “beige pink.” It’s a muted, warm-toned coral with a satiny sheen. The texture was incredibly soft, finely-milled, and smooth, but it never veered powdery; it was extremely blendable on the skin, and it had good pigmentation that was buildable. It wore well for almost eight hours on me before starting to fade. Divergent Obscure Coral (LE) is warmer, more shimmery. Hourglass Mood Exposure (P, $35.00) is lighter. MAC Autoerotique (LE, $25.00) is brighter, pinker. Charlotte Tilbury Ecstasy (P) is lighter. Tarte Dazzled (P, $26.00) is similar. Benefit Rockateur (P, $28.00) is lighter. MAC Fleet Fast (LE, $21.00) is brighter, more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
MAC Seduced at Sea Extra Dimension Blush ($27.50 for 0.22 oz.) is described as a “mid-tone neutral plum.” It’s a muted, medium orange with a hint of pinky-red and a golden shimmer. It had good color payoff, while the consistency was soft, velvety, and smooth. I had no issues applying it to the skin, blending it out, or getting it to look even. The shimmer didn’t emphasize pores either, which was a happy surprise. This shade lasted for seven and a half hours on me. MAC Modern Mandarin (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, redder, brighter. MAC Bad Girl Gone Good (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker. NARS Soulshine #2 (LE, $29.00) is lighter. NARS Gilda (P, $29.00) is redder. MAC Fiery Impact (LE, $25.00) is darker, less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

I love MAC’s extra dimension blushes, so I’m definitely going to be picking these up! I think this collection is going to make me so broke… but no regrets 😀
Enjoy! 🙂
Where does MAC get these color descriptions from? I don’t see any beige in the first one, nor any plum in the second!
Yeah, I have noooo idea on the descriptions for the blushes this time around.
I thing maybe their descriptions have gotten mixed up. Because Seduced at sea looks like beige pink to me.
NEED THEM BOTH!!!!
Hope you love ’em when you get them, Shipra!
I’m glad you are reviewing this, because this is not what I expected the color to look like based on the descriptions online. I prefer cooler or neutral blushes so I will pass.
They were surprisingly different than their descriptions!
I like them but don’t love them, so I don’t think I’ll be getting either. I do love the extra dimension blushes though!
Sounds like a good reason to skip!
Ooooh love the Seduced at Sea…
Yay!
Love the swatches as always, Christine do you think these 2 blushes will look good on brown girls?
I think they could work, but they’ll probably on the subtle side. If you have redder undertones, Sea Me, Hear Me might not show up well.
Thanks! I want to pick up one I cant resist the packaging, if you should recommend one for me which would it be? Im a NC45
Probably Sea Me, Hear Me!
These are beautiful!
Glad you like ’em!
Do you think someone with a darker complexion (Nw45 and up) could wear one of these blushes? Thanks for the review
I think so. I think Sea Me, Hear Me might be very subtle – the brightness of Seduced at Sea may pop a bit more on darker skin tones, though I suspect it’ll add more of a warmth and shimmer than lots of color.
Thank you !
Aw, as much as I love these, they’re a no go for me – too warm!
I was surprised that both were so warm-toned!
Oh the packing is so glossy and different from anything before! The colors arent exactly unique and pretty much dupable as you have pointed out!
The packaging is seriously still impressive to me, even after having it for a few days, lol!
How does the Seduced at Sea compare to NARS’ Madly?
Madly is brown! http://www.temptalia.com/product/nars-cosmetics-powder-blush/madly
The packaging is giving me serious heart palpitations – SO PRETTY!
It is gorgeous!
These look beautiful on you, Christine! I especially like Seduced at Sea on you. 🙂
Thanks, Carolyn!
I wanted both; now I only want Sea Me, Hear Me. Description of the other one has nothing to do with the reality. 😉 And I prefer satin finish over shimmer.
Definitely pass on Seduced at Sea if you don’t like shimmer!
Ordered Sea Me, Hear Me! 😀
I like the extra dimension blush better than the regular formula. Tempted to pick up Sea Me Hear Me although Mood Exposure is one of the two Hourglass blushes I’ve had on wishlist for awhile. Hmm…
The lightness of Mood Exposure on your skin tone may make having both totally plausible, though 😉
Do you think sea me, hear me is too warm for an nw15?
I don’t think so!
Seduced at sea is pretty!!!
It is!
I see seduced sea looks orange, and I hate orange anything. I am getting sea me hear me, I like the colour and the packaging of course, I hope it isnt anything Iike I already have, I want to buy it guilt free!
Happy you liked one, Vicky!
How can they call the 2nd one “mid toned plum”? It’s SO not plum and SO coral/orange. I like Sea Me, Hear Me but not enough to buy it.
I have no idea 🙁
I got excited when I saw that there was a plum blush, but Seduced at Sea is definitely too warm and orange for me! I’ll probably just get the make-up bag so I can get the mirror with the pretty packaging!
I don’t know where they got plum from, honestly!
I still haven’t tried these, but I may pick one up this time around. I thought for sure I was going to love Seduced at Sea, but Sea Me, Hear Me is really calling to me more!
Surprise ;D
Augh! That packaging! T_T why must you tempt me, MAC?!
I know! 🙁
Pretty!
Glad ya liked ’em!
I’m not sure which one I want. I already have Fairly Precious from Magnetic Nude, and I think the first one might be just a touch similar? What do you think? I just know I want SOMETHING from this collection because of the packaging, ugggh.
Fairly Precious would be closest to Seduced at the Sea, though lighter and more shimmery!
Ooooooo! I have to get Sea Me, Hear Me for my collection no matter what! Thanks to my uncle I love The Who and that’s obviously ripped from them. Love it!!
Enjoy 😀
I can’t decide which one I like better!
Now that’s a problem 😉
Boy, those are pretty! I love ’em both. And I love the look of the powder in the pan. Nicer than the lip glass that’s part of the collection
Yay! Something up your alley!
I have never tried the Extra Dimension blushes but these look quite nice. Really like Sea me, Hear me!
Enough to convince you to try? 😉
I’m seriously trying to resist this collection – everything about the packaging is absolutely gorgeous, but the (CAD) price tag is quite hefty! I like Sea Me, Hear Me best!
Wish the pricing wasn’t so different between U.S. and Canadian!
I love how the Sea Me, Hear looks on you! I really like it but I have autoerotique (haven’t used it). Is the difference that noticeable? If it was more like At Dusk, I wouldn’t even hesitate.
It’s very, very slight applied, especially if you wear it lightly.
GORGEOUS! But WHERE is the description within the blush? Whatever. I can’t wait to see the eyeshadows! I think my banking is going to have problems! They look beautifully packaged as well! Uh oh… 😉
I have no idea what MAC was thinking when they came up with some of the descriptions in the launch!
I LOVE the packaging and the design on the blush itself.
Me too!
Hi
I have never tried the extra dimension blush range of MAC!
What is the difference?
Thanks!!
It’s just a different texture of powder, and then the finish can be more metallic in general.
I like the formula, and I’m looking forward to owning both shades. 🙂
YAY! Enjoy, Precious!
How does the consistency/wear/texture of these compare to MAC’s Mineralize Blush(Dainty)? I find that when Dainty is so easy to apply and goes on my skin perfectly. I wondered how close these formulas were to the Mineralize Blushes. Thank you
The texture is a lot less powdery, and I would say more pigmented in general!
I love the Extra Dimension blushes, so I’ll probably pick up Sea Me, Hear Me. I think Seduced is too orange for my skintone.
Hopefully Sea Me, Hear Me works for ya, Cat!
Those are nice but I think if I get any new blushes they will either be Chanel creams, NARS, Armani, or Tarte 🙁
Chanel creams!
The names are cute! At first I thought there was 3 colors: seduced at sea, see me, and hear me, silly me lol! The second one is truly lovely. I dont really have any neutrally blushes, I might have to consider it!
Let me know if you end up getting one!
Hi Christine. Which of the two would show up on my NC50 skin?
Sea Me, Hear Me would be the best of the two, but it might not show up very well.
Sea Me Hear Me looks so good, but I already have Rockateur and Clinique’s Ginger Pop so I can’t justify another blush like this. =( Thank you so much for the review and swatches!
No problem, Natalie!
Thank goodness for your swatches. I feel like I can’t tell what the product really looks like at all based Macs site. Definitely getting both, plus I love the packaging.
Enjoy ’em, Raquel! ;D
Christine, these really show up lovely on you! It doesn’t hurt that you have gorgeous glowing skin anyway 🙂 I was wondering, how does Sea Me, Hear Me compare to Hourglass’ Mood Exposure? I know you’ve reviewed that as well and I have that one in my collection. I adore Mood Exposure and Sea Me, Hear Me looks lovely but also very similar–is it worth owning both, or are they more or less dupes?
A final note: High five for Parure de Lumière!! It’s my favorite, and it suits you beautifully 🙂 Guerlain really do fab foundations if you can get a shade match, don’t they?
Mood Exposure is lighter, not quite as warm-toned, but it’s similar. It’s listed above and you can see it side-by-side if you click on “view on the Dupe List!” 🙂
Guerlain’s foundations are amazing – but you’re so right, ONLY if you can fit into the range. As is, I have to mix two shades to get mine!
I definitely don’t need another blush, but these are so pretty and the packaging is ridiculously gorgeous……I wish they weren’t so shimmery, but I might be convinced to get one when I swatch them in person. These are quite pricey, ouch…..
Will be curious to see if you end up getting one!
I def need both of these!! along with Goddess of the sea and mystical lipsticks 🙂
Enjoy your new goodies!
Do you believe these will show up fairly well on NW45 complexions??
Maybe Sea Me, Hear Me…
Hi Christine! I would like to pick up one of these blushes tomorrow with the release. Which do you think would suit an nw20 skin tone better? I have rockateur and love it of those you listed and have toyed with buying mood exposure too… Thanks for the excellent swatches. 🙂
Probably Sea Me, Hear Me!
Hi, do these contain bismuth?
No idea! The packaging I received was all sample packaging.
Hi Christine,
I bought both and I must say I am quite impressed, I do love extra dimension formula because it’s smoother than the normal one.
I would say that sea me hear me could be a bit compared to small vanity from glamour daze collection.
It could be a dupe. I see similarities when applied. anyhow I always wanted a back up of small vanity so I’ m happy..
Woohoo! Happy to hear you’re loving your new blushes, Isabelle!
I LOVE seduce at sea, gorgeous colour!
It is a nice color!
