Chanel Canaille (89) Joues Contraste Blush ($45.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark, slightly muted, orange-brown with a soft, satiny shimmer. MAC Pleasure Model (LE, $25.00) is lighter. MAC Bad Girl Gone Good (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery. MAC Sweet As Cocoa (P, $21.00) is a bit darker. MAC Stylish Me (LE, $21.00) is less orange, browner. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The texture was incredibly soft, finely-milled, and silky without being powdery or dry. It had rich, true-to-pan color payoff that could be applied at full color coverage or built up in layers if you preferred a lesser intensity. The blush applied evenly, smoothly, and it was easy to blend out the color so that it looked natural and effortless on the skin. With the satin finish, it looked glowing and luminous on the skin without emphasizing pores. Canaille lasted for a full eight hours before I noticed slight fading along the top of the cheeks.

I don’t know how fair you are, but I’m a clair/beige tone, I normally wear Chanel foundations in 20. I passed on this at first thinking it would be too dark, but this week I had to wait till my makeup gal was free, and found myself trying it out. Yep, bought it, loved it. Definitely buildable. What I love most is that for me, it’s like an orangy glow bronzer minus the bronze.

I bought this blush a week after its release at Dillards. This is absolutely beautiful against darker skintones. I’m a nc45 and it looks beautiful. I love it so much I bought another one since its L/E. Super pigmented its worth every penny.

Christine, I love this color so much that I have every single dupe you referenced to and I wear them all for different looks. I would love to have this as well. I’m searching for a creme blush version of this color preferably by Chanel or Guerlain for a future birthday haul.
