10 Eye Products to Try at Sephora

Here are some of my personal recommendations for eye products to pick up while Sephora’s offering 15% off! Beauty Insiders use code TICKET, VIBs use code VIBTICKET, and Rouges use code ROUGETICKET. 🙂 Feel free to share your recommendations for other readers to try!

  1. Urban Naked Palettes (review) if you’re a big fan of various hues of neutrals that tend to lean more shimmery. I’ve enjoyed all three palettes enormously, and I usually take one along with me when I travel. (Pictured: Naked3)
  2. Too Faced Pretty Rebel Eyeshadow Palette (review) is one of the best eyeshadow palettes ever–perfect if you love rich, pigmented eyeshadows with frosted finishes.
  3. bareMinerals Power Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette (review) is a nice option for a neutral palette with a variety of finishes.
  4. Sephora 10 Shades of Samba Set (review) has ten shades of one of my favorite eyeliner formulas (Sephora’s Eye Contour Pencils) in several colorful hues. (Pictured: Romantic Comedy)
  5. NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base (review) is my very favorite eyeshadow primer–colorless, works well across brands and finishes, and keeps my eyeshadow on extra long.
  6. Dior Fusion Mono Eyeshadows (review) are my newest favorite for cream eyeshadows! So versatile, long-wearing, and sparkling. (Pictured: Hypnotique)
  7. Marc Jacobs Intro(vert) Highliner (review) is an eyeliner I get complimented on all the time–it’s a cooler-toned, brighter teal that is harder to dupe.
  8. Urban Decay Ocho Loco 2 (review) is a set of eight full-sized eyeliners from black to teal–I’m constantly reaching for the shades in this one–and bonus, it comes with Grind House as well!
  9. Urban Decay Grind House (review) is my go-to for all my eyeliner sharpening needs!
  10. Marc Jacobs Brow Tamer (review) works nicely to keep brows in place without giving them a hard, crunchy feeling. I just picked up my second one this time around, actually!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Nooo. Why must you put the Marc Jacobs (Intro)vert in the list? 😉 I was *this* close to getting it in-store last week, but picked up a Stila liquid eyeliner instead.

I got in the basic black color. I’ve been meaning to try using liquid eyeliner and Stila was the one that felt just right (I like the felt tip).

I might make an online order or go to a nearby Sephora to get (Intro)vert and some fun stuff– I only bought a foundation (restock) and the eyeliner last week.

Thank you Christine! I was waiting for this list. I agree with some shades of Sephora’s eyeliner and I like Purple Stilleto, UD shadows, Bare Minerals 4.0 in The Happy Place, Tarte ‘a Amazonian clay liners/eyeshadows and Guerlain maxi lash, they have a waterproof version now!!! 🙂

this may be off topic but I heard some people say something about an ULTA 20% off coupon. Is that out yet… cus I can’t seem to find any information on it.

I’ve got to commend (again) and add Sephora’s own Jumbo Liner Pencils. SO amazing! Also, their own brand of eye shadows. Christine has reviewed several so you can see what’s good but I picked up Be on the A List last week and I couldn’t be happier. I’m planning to go back to get a few more (and the free empty palette you get when you purchase 2 shadows). I’m with you on The Power Neutrals, Christine, and would also add Too Faced’s Chocolate and Boudoir Eyes palettes.

Every time you post about Intro(vert) I want it a little bit more! haha I just feel like I have so many “peacock” blue/cerulean/teal eye liners in my collection already, but I’m sure one of these days I’ll end up getting it.

Some of my favorites (excluding single shadows/liners) are: Kat von D 8 pan palettes, Sephora Colorful palettes, Anastasia Brow Powder Duo, MUFE Sens’Eyes eye makeup remover.

Wow! I could propose a novel of the endless looks! What a question! So far I have a first favorite I’ll tell you. For me, I’m PORCELAIN, Color around eyes are mauve/beigy & my eyes are a light green gray with some blue and a yellow/amber freckle so if you can picture that.. Here we go!
Primer with Nars Eye Primer
Base all over eye up to brow: shade 12-0811 from the Rare Earth Quad
Lid & lightly into up into crease: shade 12-5505 from the Bird of Paradise Quad
Lightly on inner lid: shade 19-1431 (rare earth?)
Crease: gentle blending of shade 19-0916 (Rare Earth quad)
Across upper lash: 19-1623 from Venus Rising
Lower lash line: Radiant Orchid
Inner corner highlight: 14-1313 from rare earth quad
And a dab of 11-0602 on the middle of lid ( midnight orchid quad)
🙂 Voila
It’s a light aqua blue pastel with beigy bronze and medium taupe and golden highlight with a light white shimmer in center to pop, the orchid underneath to bring out color and round out look done on a neutralized ivory eye. 🙂 What’s your favorite?

Yay for Naked 2! 😀 And pretty much all Urban Decay stuff, really 😛

I wish Too Faced would make a single of Miss Sparkles, and sell it here 😀 It’s the only black powder eyeshadow with appreciable glitter that I’ve been impressed by the pigmentation of! (I swatched it at a Sephora in Paris on my honeymoon, but couldn’t quite justify getting the whole palette :-P). Chanel Mirifique is a cream alternative, but not exactly a cheaper one 😉
