Round-up: MAC Mineralize Glass Collection for Spring 2014

The new MAC Mineralize Glass Collection featured a new shade of gloss (Mineralize Glass) in twelve shades, plus six new shades of Mineralize Rich Lipstick. All eighteen shades will be joining the permanent line-up. The new gloss is less tacky than traditional Lipgloss, but thinner and stickier than Cremesheen Glass or Lustreglass. The color coverage is a little more than Cremesheen Glass, but the new gloss is semi-sheer in most cases and wears an average of three hours a pop. They’re lightly hydrating, smell of vanilla, and contain more product than most of MAC’s lipglosses. Some shades settled into lip lines or did not apply evenly, so those things really hurt the ratings. The Mineralize Rich Lipsticks were better, in general, and are a more buildable and pigmented formula with a luminous sheen and feel hydrating when worn.

Great roundup! It’s a bit surprising to me that any makeup company would release such similar shades in the same LE collection (regarding the lip glasses).

I normally stay away from fuchsia shades but Good Taste looks so lovely I think it (or a dupe) might be my first purchase in that color family.

So thankful for the Temptalia roundups. It’s a great opportunity to get a look at all the shades together for comparison. Definitely one of my favourite Temptalia features. Thanks!!!

I love these round ups for comparisons! Thanks for putting them together 🙂

Be a Lady and Be Nice are still my favourites – it’s a bit silly that they release so much redundancy in the glosses though? Maybe the difference is more radical if you have lips with very little natural pigment… Like me 😛

I’ve never tried this particular formula, but I’m eyeing Pure Pout & Modest and/or Be Fabulous & Tender. At least these should be around for a while, so I’ll have a chance to mull it over!

I brought the lipstick in So good and I love it. Pink reds are my favourite. I was going to buy a glass buf for $43 Australian I could not justify it.

I think Good Taste and So Good are the two that appeal to me the most, and they look amazing on you. The lip glasses aren’t even a blip on my radar because 1. I’m more of a lipstick girl, and 2. it seems like an outrageous price for something sheer.
