Givenchy It-Girl Purple Le Prisme Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Givenchy It-Girl Purple Le Prisme Blush
Givenchy It-Girl Purple Le Prisme Blush ($44.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a cool-toned, light-medium pink with blue undertones and a satin finish. NARS Mistinguette (LE, $29.00) is lighter. MAC Pure Femininity (LE, $21.00) is a smidgen darker. theBalm Argyle (P, $22.00) is darker. theBalm Down Boy (P, $21.00) is comparable. NARS Gaiety (P, $29.00) is cooler-toned. MAC Well Dressed (P, $21.00) is similar. MAC I’m the One (LE, $21.00) is darker. Bobbi Brown Nude Pink (P, $26.00) is more matte. See comparison swatches.
The texture was incredibly soft and finely-milled, and at times, a bit powdery, though it did not show on the skin–it looked soft, lightly luminous but never dry or powdery. It blended out easily, and the color was buildable and nicely pigmented. The blush lasted almost eight hours on me before it started to show signs of fading. Â The satin finish gave off a gorgeous sheen and luminosity that didn’t emphasize pores. Â I think this would be particularly lovely on cooler complexions as a go-to everyday shade.

It’s so coincidental that you reviewed this. I was literally thinking of purchasing this the other day, and didn’t because I couldn’t find a good review on it. I’ve been in the market for a light, everyday pink shade (I tend to lean towards rose tones) that has a satin finish, I’m NW30 in MAC Studio Fix, & Sand Beige in Laura Mercier Silk Creme. My go to shade has been Benefit Dandelion for years, something I can just throw on and run out the door, but I want one with less obvious shimmer/sheen. Any recommendations from you Christine, or anyone else?
I think this would work, and Illamasqua Naked Rose is rosier, though it will be rather faint on you – but if you use Dandelion, then I think it would work fine for you!
You’re looking every inch the it girl with this blush, Christine! 😀 Super super pretty.
Aww, thank you so much!
Thanks for reviewing this! I’m an NW15 and this is the perfect types of shade for me!
Perfect for NW15s!
I know that what I’m going to ask has NOTHING to do with this post, but what’s your favorite glitter glue? I’m tired of trying a bunch that doesn’t work
For straight glitter, I like Lit’s 🙂 If you have more of a sparkle or sparkly eyeshadow, Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy works well.
This is so pretty! I wonder if it’s WOC friendly though
Hmm, how’s your luck with pale pink blushes – maybe like Well-Dressed by MAC or NARS Gaiety?
Hi Christine! Will you be reviewing any of the Givenchy Le Prisme Visage Mat Soft Compact Face Powders? I wanted to buy a high-end finishing powder but I can’t decide between Givenchy, Hourglass, or Guerlain.
Sorry, I don’t have those!
You look absolutely stunning in this photo Christine!!!
Aw, thanks Grace! 🙂
Oh my bows! :p
This is such a must have for pink lovers! such pretty pink! <3
Oh yeah, great for anyone who likes pink blush!
OMG I love everything about this! And I tend to go for pink blushes during Christmastime for some reason.
Maybe it’s the cool weather 🙂
thats gorgeous blush on you Christine 🙂 loved this and orange as well
Thanks, Rashmi! 🙂
Looks really pretty on you Christine! It’s weird how the blush is said to be purple but I don’t see any purple.
Thanks, Kiara!
The blush is so pretty. The mix of pinks and lilacy pink is perfect for winter. I like Givenchy but have never considered trying their blushes before. It’s nice to know they perform well and there seem to be some very pretty colours around. It’s so nice to see you reviewing more Givenchy. It is a sorely underrated brand that deserves more exposure than it gets.
They have a really soft, finely-milled texture to their blushes from what I can tell – definitely worth checking out if you enjoy velvety, silky soft powders!
Woah… what beauty this blush is and you look amazing with this blush on! <3
Thanks so much, Eesha! 🙂
Hi Christine! Thanks so much for all your reviews! How does It Girl Purple compare to Benefit’s Hervana?
Hervana is a little more lilac and softer/sheerer in a way – like It Girl Purple will show up on more skin tones than Hervana!
I don’t know why, but Givenchy products haven’t ever really impressed me. None of them. I’m going to test out their blushes again at Sephora tomorrow. I had to exchange something anyways. Maybe I’ll change my mind. In comparison, Guerlain blushes seem to be far higher quality.
I like the texture of Givenchy’s over Guerlain’s, though Tom Ford’s are my favorite.
