Magic Le Vernis Nail Colour ($27.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is described as a "daybreak blue." It's a medium-dark blue cream; it's not too cool-toned, and it's brighter and lighter than navy blue. This shade was incredibly pigmented and was fully opaque after two coats. The consistency was slightly thin, but I didn't have any application issues. Marc Jacobs Beauty Blue Velvet (132) (P, $18.00) is the shade I could think of that is most similar in color, but it has a totally different finish. NARS Superstar (LE, $19.00) is less blue. Chanel Blue Rebel (LE, $27.00) is darker. China Glaze First Mate (LE, $7.50) is a bit darker. Essie Go Overboard (LE, $8.00) is greener. See comparison swatches.
